hello mommies, im soon to give birth at MMC under the care of Dra grace luna-cabrera. i was managed as hi risk.
but my cardio, and endocrinologist cleared me. so far my rheumatologist nalang. but evenrything else is ok
im asymptomatic na din.

We spent 100k++ via CS at MMC, but for me it was well worth it. My OB, she's well-known sa entire hospital and she's super dooper kind and pretty pa. She was referred to me by my friend na naging patient din nya. Yung friend ko na yun has GEstational diabetes and her baby was stillborn but my OB was still able to revive her baby. Dun ako na-encourage na kuhanin sya as my OB. Actually i have tried many OB's sa Medical City coz i live nearer there pero wala ako nagustuhan. MMC is too far pero i still tried because of my friend's recommendation of the OB.
When I gave birth, almost 10 hours ako in labor coz i really wanted to have normal delivery. But before that, my water bag broke already so my OB is discouraging me na to have normal delivery kasi nakapupu na pati si baby inside me. Pero makulit ako kaya pinagbigyan ni OB. Ayun, after 10 hours induced labor 2cm pa rin, kaya finally napilit ako ni OB magCS. My anesthesiologist is also superb! I did not feel any pain at all sa epidural. Tapos kaya pala ayaw lumabas ni baby ng normal delivery, we found out nakapulupot pala cord sa neck and legs nya! Pero magaling si OB nailabas nya si baby ng safe. Pati stitches ko blis gumaling! About sa service naman ng hospital, facilities, nurses, the best din. May sariling nurse staff si OB and sila yung mega asikaso sa akin even nung nasa private room na kami, mayat maya bumibisita to check on me and baby. Kami na nga ni hubby ang nagsasawa sa kanila, hehe.

hi sis piece of advice lang as long as mabait at approachable ang OB disregard mo na kung saan k mg-give birth both of them are good hospitals what is important your relationship with your doctor.

before my OB was from Makati med she was recommended by a good friend of mine kaya lang one time i experienced preterm labor so i texted my OB and explain to her the whole scenario. she replied to me " i don't do any consultation over the text if you want a consultation go to my clinic" as a medical affiliated person i'm just considering her professional point of view was partially correct. but she must show some empathy towards the situation, as a first time preggy or shall we say 1st time mom i'm asking her what 'm i going to do stay at home? or rush to the hospital?

in short after i read her message my husband and i decided to go to the nearest hospital and seek for professional advice. after reaching the emergency room the doctors told me that i need to be admitted because i'm experiencing premature labor.

just sharing my experience, for me what is important your relationship with your doctor is more important because your depending your life and your child's life to your doctor.  if i waited for another day probably  i lost my child because of her arrogant text. 

moving on now me and my baby boy are OK i already changed my OB and i can say she's very hands on to us. right now i'm on my 33 weeks and by october i'm gonna see my bouncing baby boy. cant wait to see him..

I agree with this completely. Especially for first time mommies. Some doctors are very stingy and can't seem to understand yung feeling ng nagpa-panic na patients. They seem to think that all the time they spent should be "billed". My current OB told me sa start ng pregnancy ko that I can just text him when I have some sudden concern or question and if it warrants a more thorough look at me, he'll request me to come see him ASAP.  I do research naman a lot so I don't harrass him with questions naman Even my test results, when forwarded to him by the lab, he just texts me if ok or hindi. If hindi, he asks me to see him to discuss if more tests are needed or to look at me personally.
Iba yung feeling na comfortable ka sa doctor mo, especially you'll be very vulnerable during your entire pregnancy and labor

^ she is a very good OB-Gyne. She's very nice, approachable, you can text her anytime maliban na lang if she's operating on a patient, and she is very pretty. Magaling na OB coz my friend's baby was stillborn pero she was able to revive the baby. In my case naman, naglabor ako for almost 10 hrs (makulit ako kasi gusto ko NSD) pinagbigyan ako ni dra. kahit nagbreak na my water bag early on. Tapos later nauwi din sa CS. Yun pala nakapulupot cord sa neck and legs ni baby. Dra. Mae delivered my baby safe and sound, hindi na na-incubator. She is a very good doctor and kilala sya sa buong MMC.

^^Thanks sis prettygurl00001. Kailan ka nanganak sis? I was looking for an OB who can offer me the maternity package and siya yung nirefer sa akin ng marketing officer ng MMC. They also e-mailed me the schedule for their upcoming seminars. Since first time kaming mag meet ni OB this Saturday, inemail agad ako before kami mag meet so she knows my case. Sana maging ok ang lahat...

I had c section last week at mmc due to pre eclampsia. I stayed in recovery room for 24 hours because there is no available small private room that day. Fortunately we got a free upgrade... large private for small private price. total bill 180k +++ for 4 days bikini cut. O.o

nkita nio na bad experience tlg kya since then di n ko bumalik sa knya mwawala p baby ko dhl s kaartehan nia. 1st baby ko p [textspeak!] toh. 

now im on my 8th month and by oct 10 term n ko.. happy preggy

Sis prettygurl, I had my first check up with Dra Syki Young last Saturday. Ilang taon na ba siya? She looks so young. She is approachable and easy to text when I have concerns. Kaso when I opened the topic about the maternity package kasi I am on a budget sabi niya may mga kasama daw sa labor room yung NSD package na 50k++? Kapag mag isa daw sa labor room aabot naman ng 90-100K++. Ano ang inavail mo sis?

Hello! Just curious who amongst of sisters her in GT are planning to give birth or have given birth at MMC?

Maybe you guys could share your experiences and feedback about the doctors, the facilites and your actual birth experiences. Would be good to know what are possible "tips" and "tricks" as well as the cost of treatments and confinement

i gave birth at MMC last 2011 to my 1st baby. I chose the semi-private package but in the end it cost me around 80k. The room is totally not recommended (you have to share cr's with 5 other rooms) and if you have to take a bath, kelangan mo pa pumunta dun sa washroom along the hallway.

I changed my OB to Dra. Marinette Sto.DOmingo. I highly recommend her. She is very caring, patient, and pretty as well. She's a senior OB na pero she doesnt look like one. She is very honest, straight forward, and responds ASAP to text messages. Ang quotation nya saken for small private room is around 90-110k and for the large private is 140-160k.

sis goddess_diana3584, I am on my 37th week and will be giving birth sa MMC. Ang sabi nga sakin nung nurse sa delivery room when I was having my NST, pag private yung room mo, private din labor room. Pag semi private room mo, yung labor room is divided by curtains lang. So maririnig mo yung ingay ng iba mong kasama. Have not confirmed this with my OB though.
