^^it's free, pati cable car.  Yehey!  Para maexperience ng son ko.  Recently ko lang nalaman he likes the thrill sa rides when I brought him to star city.  He likes the "funny feeling in the tummy".  Ako yun takot.  hehe. 

Parang ang daming under maintenance sa mga attractions.  I hope everything is in good shape and running in May para naman sulit punta namin.

Umaabot pa din ng 11 degrees kahit March na, pabago bago ang weather pero malamig pa din up to now, mga hanggang 1st week pa siguro ng april ang lamig dito

We're back from our 5-day trip! Super saya but tiring. I'll post updates for the mommies soon. Just have to get my affairs in order. masyadong nag-enjoy sa vacation :p Hahaha!

Here's a breakdown of our 5-day trip in case it helps anyone There were 4 of us, hubby, me our 6yo and 2yo.

Day 1 (Sat)
 - Nan Lian Garden
 - Chi Lin Nunnery
 - Star Ferry from TST to Wan Chai
 - Lunch at Joy Hing Barbecue
 - Ding Ding Tram Tour to HK Park
 - HK Park (walkthrough to Peak Tram Terminus)
 - Victoria Peak & Sky Terrace

Day 2 (Sun)
 - Lunch at Spring Deer
 - Hong Kong Science Museum
 - Shop along Cameron, Granville, nearby sts
 - Dinner at Charlie Brown Cafe

Day 3 (Mon)
 - Ocean Park
 - Dinner at Guandong Barbecue along Hankow
 - Walk around and ate at Hui Lau for a late night dessert

Day 4
 - Check in at Disney's Hollywood Hotel
 - Disney all day

Day 5
 - Enchanted Garden breakfast
 - Disney all day


HOTEL: YMCA Salisbury
This hotel is great. We got the harbor view room and requested a twin bed. We pushed them together and the 4 of us fit comfortably (2 adults, 1 kid, 1 toddler). They had a welcome fruit basket of 2 apples, 2 bananas, 2 oranges so we had them for breakfast and snacks. The staff were very helpful. I would stay here again definitely.

HOTEL: Disney Hollywood Hotel
We got a free upgrade to sea view room which was a huge plus since I got the garden view only. You can go early, leave your luggage and come back after Disney. The checkout time is earlier than usual, 11am. BUt again, you can check out and leave your luggage with them and get it later on.

NAN LIAN GARDEN, CHI LIN NUNNERY
The kids had a great time exploring the garden. I suggest at least an hour to enjoy the whole place. You can't bring food in so you can either eat before, after or eat in the restaurants inside.

PEAK and SKY TERRACE
I think the extra bucks for the Sky Terrace view was worth it. We got here a bit late already but it would have been fun if we had gone earlier so you can explore other parts like the parks around the area. Lots of palces to eat and shops for last minute pasalubong shopping or for those who don't really need to buy a lot of pasalubong (because they are pricier than those along granville)

HONG KONG SCIENCE MUSUEM
I alloted 2 hours here originally as suggested in their email to me. We ended up staying here for 5 hours My kids enjoyed every inch of the exhibits! They also have a play area (kinda like gymboree) on top and you can just leave the kids here for hours while you relax your tired feet.

OCEAN PARK
We were here on a Monday and there were hardly any people at the Waterfront. This was great for the kids because there were no lines at all in the rides. We spent most of the time here since they can't ride anything at the Summit. We just went there for the Cable car experience, went to the Jellyfish exhibit (I think Manila OCean Park's jelly exhibit is nicer though) and then went back down. It was a drizzly day but it didn't pour so we were fine with the umbrella and jackets. You definitely need a whole day here.

FOOD AT OCEAN PARK
We had lunch at the Panda Cafe. I thought the food was good. Nothing great but a lot better than Disney food. We brought water for the kids so we didn't have to buy lots inside. The pportions were very generous so I shared mine with my toddler.

DISNEYLAND
Nevermind that it's the smallest Disney, I still felt like 2 days weren't enough for the kids. Hahaha! They wanted photos taken with every character they saw so that took quite a while. The line for the rides were not very long but we were here on a weekday too. They got to ride everything and even got round 2 on some. Maybe 1 day is enough for adults but 2 days would be great if you have kids.

FOOD IN DISNEY
We got the 3-in-1 meal ticket which came out cheaper than buying individually. The food was blah. Ate at Tiki terrace, Comet Cafe and Starline Diner.

ENCHANTED GARDEN BREAKFAST
I got a discount because we reserved when I booked our room. It was really worth it. Puwede n ding lunch since we finished at 11am. Plus you get tons of photos with characters which saves you line up time in the park. We got Mickey, Goofy, Daisy, Donald. Then you can walk around Disney hotel and enjoy the garden after or watch our for Disney Princesses for more photo ops.

JOY HING BARBECUE AT WAN CHAI:
This was in CNNGo as one of the best in HK so I HAD to try it. A bit difficult to find since it's a hole in the wall. You share tables with strangers. But the food was GREAT and pretty cheap too. We had roast duck, roast chicken and barbecue pork. Our bill was only HKD75. They were very generous with the rice too.

GUANGDONG BARBECUE (Hankow or Cameron):
Had their bestselling Roast pig with crispy skin, roast pork, roast goose. It came out a lot moe expensive since they gave us an english menu which I felt was overprices compared to the chinese menu. Plus our food looked different from what the locals were having. Separate yung rice and ulam, while the locals had meals and rice toppings :p Total bill here was HKD500 but the food was great too so I can't complain

SPRING DEER:
My very reason for Hong Kong. Hahaha! If you don't have a reservation, go at 1130am and beg for a table. Chances are, they can give you one. We had Peking Duck, Xiao Long Bao, Yang Chow, Fish Fillet and we almost finished everything! We took home the left over Duck and had it for snacks the following day. Total damage was around HKD750.

CHARLIE BROWN:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We ordered everything with Charlie Brown on it. Charlie Brown French Toast, Charlie Brown pancakes, Charlie Brown coffee and Charlie Brown Frap. The food was actually good, considering the iffy reviews. The kids had fun because they had a huge TV showing snoopy cartoons and had a comic section where you can read peanuts comics.

HUI LAU SHAN HEALTHY DESSERT:
We went to their restaurant along Cameron instead of the take out ones. I must have ordered 5 different desserts with mango in it and was delirious about the taste

WING WAH WIFE CAKES:
Got them from the star ferry pier in TST. Perfect for snacks or breakfast. Bought a couple of boxes at the airport for pasalubong too.

HONOLULU EGG TARTS:
Not as great as the reviews. I personally found it way too flakey and would ratehr have Lord Stowe's.

SOME TIPS FOR MOMS BRINGING KIDS:
1. Allot time for emergencies. Kids need to pee at the most inconvenient times. If there's a McDonalds around, you're safe. Just get your cleaning kit ready as both times we had to crash at McDo to pee, the restrooms were SOOO DIRTY.
2. Stroller or No Stroller: I brought our stroller and used it in Disney and Ocean Park. I was originally gonna bring it around during days 1-3, but used my sling instead. Though the stroller would have been handy too for outting shopping bags
3. Water: I brought 3 1-liter bottles for my toddler and used it all up. We bought those 2 for HKD12 bottles in convenience stores after. Definitely bring your own water when going to theme parks as they cost HKD20 per small bottle there.

hello guys. im here na sa hk tst area. the weather is great. not so cold pero di rin mainit. halos nalibot na namin ang city. tst area, mongkok, at snoopy world. wala na kami mapuntahan. balik kami later sa ave of stars for symphony of lights.

for me mas maganda pa din sa sg. sorry hk fans. gusto ko lang dito sa hk yung weather. pero parang nasawa agad kami lumibot dito sa city unlike sa sg kulang ang 4 days namin. dito sa hk iniisip namin kung ano pa gagawin namin sa 5 days after namin mapuntahan lahat ng nasa itinerary namin. well tignan ko pa sa mga susunod na araw kung mag eenjoy kami ng sobra.

anyway, madali lang hanapin yung mga places basta may map ka. thanks sa maps dito sa smartphone ko i was able to locate our hotel. useful din yung dinownload kong mtr map na app para kahit walang internet or map makikita mo yung mtr stations. grabe nilakad namin from mongkok to tst. pagudpod tuloy ako. medyo na shoshock lang ako sa mga locals. grabe sila magsalita parang galit lagi although aware ako dun kasi may lahing chinese din ako. may mga rude talaga lalo na yung nasa mtr kami. paupo na sana kami tapos bigla kaming inunahan. as in tumakbo sila para mauna sila makaupo samin. pero may mga locals din namang nice.

I've been in HK last February, sarap ng weather dun, buong araw malamig. Kaya ok na ok magwindowshopping. Kahit buong araw ka naglilibot sa labas ok lang. Yun nga lang sobrang sakit sa paa nung gabi kc sobrang pagod kakalakad.. Sa Shamrock kame nag-stay. Ok [textspeak!] hotel and location kc paglabas mo MTR Jordan station na. And ok pa [textspeak!] seafood resto dun sa Temple Street. Sobrang sulit tska sarap ng seafoods. And dame kc nung serving nila, good for 2-3 persons. Don;t forget to try [textspeak!] eggettes sa Nathan road. Sarap!

ask ko lang, how did you get a breakfast discount at Enchanted Garden? was it mentioned during your booking or dun na mismo sa resto mo nalaman?  nagpareserve kasi ako last january ng 1 night stay sa Disneyland Hotel and at the same time nagpareserve na rin ako ng brekafast for 3 but walang na-mention na discount sa kin... namamahalan nga ako sa 300++/head e..

^ yes walking distance na lang. nilakad nga namin from mongkok to tst which is 3 mtr stations away. hehe so for me malapit na yung ladies market sa mongkok station (red line). actually may 2 mongkok station pero yung isa sa east line yata (light blue). from there kaya na din lakarin kasi dun kami nanggaling going to ladies market.

Hello mga sis, nag reserve ako sa golden crown yet fully book young quadruple room nila on May 1 to 5... I just made my reservation sa park hotel and butterfly on prat for back up... any feedbacks sa park hotel... we will be 4 adults with 2 kids (2yrs and 1 yr). Ok lang ba sneak in? Inputs naman po... Mas mura kasi compared sa butterfly....thanks.
