Davao City and Samal Island thread 8

sis leelou just been to davao last may 17-22.. we did the rafting and avail basecamp services.. sobrang saya! 1500/head lang siya and half day nga lang.. i recommend them kasi at least kung morning yung rafting sa afternoon pwede pang may ibang gawin... kulit ng mga guides nila kaya ang saya2x ng trip.. as far as i know medyo mas mahaba yung route ng basecamp kesa DWA (di ko lang 100% sure to ah) kasi sa tour tinuro nung guide namin yung starting point and end point nung sa DWA..parang mas lamang ng 2 rapids yung basecamp..hehe.. and sa DWA nasa gitna yung lunch nila whereas sa basecamp after nah ng rafting yung lunch.. Naswertehan din namin nah may tubig yung vanishing falls (nagkakatubig lang yata pag umulan) kaya nakapagpapicture pa kami... sa umpisa lang nakakatakot.. pero pag nandun ka na as in ang saya2x.. kami nga nagsisi na di nahulog sa raft.. parang mas complete ang experience kung nahulog sa raft.. hehe.. hope this helps!

@tinapay and reineedace: thanks mga sisses. sana lang may mag-offer ng discount thru deal sites. last year kasi nag 50% sa beeconomic. kaya nga panay visit ko sa site nila at pre-order that's what i did kasi with Club Tara deal. in-offer din nila ulit. kaya lang hindi ko na tinuloy kasi i decided na sa Davao na lang pumunta instead

so far here itinerary namin:

Day 1: Xcelerator Zipline or Camp Sabros (still deciding if dun na rin mag-overnight or sa city na lang para makagala pa around)

Day 2: Wild water rafting, Crocodile park, Jack's ridge

Day 3: Samal Island - Paradise, diving. Thinking of including maxima, hagimit falls na here para sa next day to spend na exclusively at Pearl farm

Day 4 up to noon of Day 5: Pearl Farm - sulitin ang mahal na bayad 

Day 5: back to city, pasalubong shopping

what do you girls think? still to book pa return flight to Manila pero if ever, mga 9-10 piliin ko. want to add lang Philippine Eagle Center. pwede pa kaya sya sa 1st day since 09:35 naman arrival namin or out of way sya? TIA

Hi mga sis sorry di ako present dito for the longest time.

Restos to try Dencia's, luz kinilaw, and yung mga nasa torres street puro buffet.

Kung magwhiwhitewater rafting kayo i think exhausted na kayo after that... So rest na lang or a good dinner.
As for samal island, we should explore talikud island. Mas mahal nga lang. My friends and.i will rent the boat of Explore Davao in july. Pang pictorial. Are you guys familiar with island banca davao's rate? May nakatry na?

possible bang mag water tubing kahit 2 lang kami? has anyone tried na makijoin sa bang groups? i've tried wwr sa cdo kaya water tubing naman sa davao.. hehe. super advance call pero baka may pupunta sa inyo davao ng jan 2013..

9am proceed to talicud island; check-in at isla reta
*buy food supplies at talipapa
beach bum

Day 2 (fri)
*still at Isla Reta - beach bum the whole day
(optional) AM - see hagimit falls


Day 3 (sat)
730am check-out & leave isla reta
9am - arrival at Sta. Ana Wharf
bfast: ??
buy food supplies  (water etc) ??
12nn lunch ??
after lunch / 1pm proceed to Eden Nature Park - overnight stay

Day 4 (sun)
overnight at Eden Nature Park pa din

Day 5 (mon)
10am check-out Eden Nature Park
1100 Lunch at Lachi's or Lyndon's Worst Ribs
1pm  proceed to Pearl Farm - overnight stay

Day 6 (tues)
12nn check-out from PF. per mag-stay pa din
4pm  take last boat sched of PF to marina
5pm early dinner
6pm proceed to airport
7pm flight back to manila

so far, set na po ako dun sa days 1 & 2, pato dun sa Day 5 & 6.

yung sa Day 3 po, the boat will leave isla reta at 730am.  ETA at sta. ana wharf is around 9am.  Plan ko po sana sa mga carinderia around Sta. Ana Wharf na lang kami magb-breakfast.  meron nga po bang carinderia dun?

saan po kaya kami pwede bumili ng supplies after?

for lunch, gusto ko po sana makita yung jack's ridge or dencio's sa hill top.  masyado na po ba itong out-of-the-way given na Eden Nature Park po ang next destination namin?  Dala na din po kasi namin ang bags namin so malamang hassle na mag-ikot-ikot, lalo na commute lang kami. 

Saan nga po pala ang best na sakayan ng jeep going to Eden Nature Park?
