^ pwede naman sis na balloons, table centerpiece, and balloons lang ang i-avail mo na services from a PP. when my son celebrated his 7th birthday last year, parang ganyan yung setup ko with the PP - got their balloons, table arrangement, and venue decor services. i just also acquired the services of their party host and yung game prizes nila, kasi walang willing sa pamilya namin na mag-costume at maghost.    yung lootbag naman kasama sa package nung PP, pero kinuha lang namin yung contents ng lootbags at nilipat din namin sa ibang packaging na mas suited sa theme nung bday party.  if you're PP is good, dapat flexible sila to meet the needs (and budget) of their clients. hope this helps.

Mga sis, I finally booked a PP na may all in package that meets my budget but I'm a bit lost [textspeak!] next steps kasi it's taking time for her to answer in mails and matipid naman mga sagot if ever meron

How does it work usually ba based on your experiences? Do I ask for a draft layout of the backdrop from them? subject for approval ko ba yun before they execute or just give them the theme, pegs and some specific preferences like colors, styles, etc and sila na bahala? TIA

^^ sis iriscidiscent, based from my experience with the PP for my son's birthday last year, they made a visit to the venue first. then from there, they contacted me to discuss how the venue will look like (i.e. where the stage will be placed, where the kiddie tables should be placed, where the balloons and decors will be placed). for the backdrop and the invitation, I was very specific about it - from colors, design, details, wordings, etc. ako na halos yung nagbigay ng layout, sila lang pinagprint ko. but before nila iprint, they sent me a jpeg copy and naka-ilang exchange din kami ng email/revisions, before i finally gave my approval to print. yung sa host naman, ni-discuss din nila with me how the host will appear (costume), and ano magiging flow nung program. i also talked to the host for specific requests (like konti lang adult games, more kiddie games). kung matipid sumagot si PP sis, and if nakapag-sign ka na ng contract with them, i strongly suggest for you to be more pro-active in talking to them. hope this helps.

Ang galing naman ng PP mo, kaso siguro one hindrance nadin for me is my distance because I'm based overseas though lagi naman online sa viber si PP kaso follow up padin ako lagi and if ever sumagot very one liner . My even is on Feb 16 pa naman so I'm not sure if masyado maaga pa that's why she is not asking me any specifics. Ako lagi yung nagtatanong if there's anything needed from my side ba regarding layout, design, colors, etc. Though they know my venue very well because lagi naman sila ata set up dun sa One Cafe Ortigas kaso I still feel neglected.

I will take your advice to be very proactive kaso ayoko lang din makulitan sila sakin. Yung sayo ba sis, how long before the event did they start asking you for inputs regarding your preferences sa event?

wow good luck on your event. Based on what I read, dapat talaga mangulit ka na sa PP mo kahit Feb pa ang event mo. My baby's event is on March 9, kaya this week I will discuss everything with Party Boosters.  Mas maganda na yung makulit kesa magsisi tayo in the end.

^ Pink n Peach sis.. Ok naman sana si Aileen naging very flexible yung package nya sakin kaso feeling ko masyado syang busy plus December usually peak season diba kahit si party booster hindi ako naasikaso mga queries ko last December when I was still eyeing for event stylists and PPs then. I think confident lang sila na kaya nila asikasuhin kahit 1 month to go nalang so I guess next week kelangan ko na talaga mangulit Ang hirap pa kasi nga I'm based overseas unlike the majority here *sigh

Last kaming nag quick chat was last week sabi ko submit ako pegs kaso 3 days na wala pa reply. Any similar experiences here?

sis iriscidiscent, in my honest opinion sis, ok lang mangulit - as long as hindi ka naman rude when talking to them. you will be paying them, so you deserve your money's worth.  yung sa son ko, the birthday was on April, pero as early as January, nagpa-book and I kept in touch na with my PP. mas namoblema pa ako sa venue kesa sa PP. the sooner you get in touch with them, mas maaga nila mapa-plan out yung mga kailangan sa event and mas maaga ka nila maiinform if there will be deviations from your plan. nakakadismaya na malaman on the last minute kapag may hindi sila magawa sa plans mo. since you're working abroad, wala ka bang relative sa pinas (e.g. husband, in-laws, your siblings, or own parents) who can keep in touch with your PP? if wala, try to set up regular check point meetings with your PP (kahit via skype or viber) - kahit twice a week depending kung gaano na ka-plantsado yung plans nyo. iba rin kasi yung nakakausap mo sya over the phone. magi-gauge mo yung tone of confidence nya. if your PP is confident, the more he/she should get in touch with you to ease your anxities. tip lang din sis, even if you have a PP, try to make a list din of what you need to check for the event (i.e. food, venue, invites, cake, guests, etc) and also a time table on when certain activities need to be completed - tipong if Feb 16 ang event, dapat by Feb 1, out na ang invites, or nakapagpa-gawa na ng cake. that way, mas madali mo machi-check ano yung mga things na need mo pa asikasuhin. medyo mahirap talaga especially if you're overseas. but think of the joy naman on the day of the event once you see everything is in place, and as planned. hope this helps sis.

^sis slickchick, yup very helpful indeed Hindi lang talaga ko masyadong comfortable na nangungulit siguro but I guess at the rate this is going, I have no choice. I will call them this week na and we had short exchange of emails this morning because I said I want to get down into details na since 1 month nalang and ok naman daw sya during weekdays. I have some sis here na nakaka-PM ko who are also clients of Pink and Peach and ganun din observation nila so I guess hindi lang ako. Medyo busy ata sila and apologetic naman sila when replying back to me with delays.

I have relatives kaso mas mahirap kung i-bridge pa kasi iba iba tayo ng preferences, gusto ko ako personally mag explain hehe.

I'll share more of my experiences here when my party is over para ma advise ang ibang mommies here who are planning to get their services I'm still hoping for the best since madami din naman silang positive reviews dito and sa kabilang forum, though mag few negative reviews din but I didn't mind nalang because sila na yung pinaka flexible ang package for me and mabait naman si Aileen kausap, yung response time lang talaga nila ang need iimprove and dapat ata mas maganda one party at a time like Kidstar Kastle para hindi sya ngarag.

^ well, at least sis apologetic naman pala yung contact person mo. it helps din kasi kapag hindi maangas yung PP mo. oo sis, try to get into the details na, since 1 month na nga lang pala since your event. good luck sis on your event. balitaan mo kami how it went.

Tnx sis slickchick. Sige try ko yun. Pero sis may alam ba kayo very affordable supplier for decorations. Backdrop ba tawag dun tska yung sa entrance standee. 1st time ko kasi mag organize ng party. Kaya sobrang nangangapa pa ako. Wala kong idea dito lang ako nagkaidea sa gt.very helpful thread

Anyway gusto ko hindi masyadong mahal kasi ayaw ni hubby gumastos masyado sa deco p lang.can you recommend supplier na affordable but maganda.

^ sis cutemama, suggestion ko sis for the backdrop (and even yung invites) hanap ka ng design sa web (depende sa theme ng party). then baka may kakilala ka na marunong mag-photoshop pwede mo ipagawa sa kanya yung layout ng backdrop and ng invitation. then dalhin mo na lang sa mga nagpi-print ng mga tarpaulin and invite. i have seen this kind of print shops sa SM. mas mura kasi sis kapag ready na yung design/layout mo, tapos ipapa-print mo na lang. ganun sis yung ginawa ko para sa backdrop and invitation for my son's bday. yung mga giveaways naman and game prizes, sure talaga na mura sa divisoria. sa bday ng son ko nun, bumili ako ng ilang small items (like coin purses, face towels na may design, water tumblers, pencils, sticker pads) para pandagdag sa game prizes at laman ng lootbags. pwede naman sis na yung balloon decors, standee, and table arrangement lang ang ico-contract mo sa PP. yung PP ko nun (kiddie-party.com), i think they offer decoration services lang. you can also check out sis the PP's mentioned by other sisses here. baka meron swak sa budget mo.

^^sis cutemama, based sa research ko dati dito, try Mr. Balloonatix if you really want a backdrop pero sabi nya sakin before hindi daw gawa sa styro yung backdrop nila pero maganada nadin sa pictures. You can try to view their FB page. Pero if hindi padin pasok sa budget, I agree with sis slickchick's idea na tarp and for sure minimal lang cost nun. Happy planning!

sis, try passion cooks catering and queensland catering They have catering, styling and dessert/candy buffet. not sure lang with regards sa mga entertinment.
