^sis patchochai, tama ka kaya nga sabi ko up (typo error sa prev post) to 6 months ang maximum pwede nila hiramin, meaning hanggang 6 months salary ang pwede nila hiramin OR less. Saka hindi 20% yung pwede ihold. Hindi talaga pwede at all ang debt bondage. 20% ng sweldo lang nila ang pwede mo ideduct pambayad sa hiniram nila

sis, question please. I already have all the forms filled up. Pwede ba maski representative ko pupunta sa SSS to get an Employer Number for me? Kailangan din ba i-present yung employment certification and contract? 

Meron na kasing SSS number yung Manang ko when we took her in. Bale we just continued her contributions by giving her the money tapos sya na yung naghuhulog. Parang voluntary yung lumalabas.

Sagutin ko lang tanong ko baka makatulong. Pwede mag-file ang representative ng amo sa SSS to get an Employer Number basta kumpleto ng forms na pirmado ng employer. These are the documents na pinadala ko sa SSS:

1.) Authorization letter with photocopies of my PH drivers license and SSS ID. Pinabitbit ko na rin yung mga original IDs in case the SSS personnel needs to verify the photocopied IDs against the original.

2.) Completed and signed R1A form (accomplished in 3 copies). Start of employment indicated was 01Jun2013 maski 6 years na si Manang sa akin. Although we have been paying for her SSS since she started with us naka under voluntary member yung payment category nya.

According to the SSS personnel kung ang nilagay daw namin is yung totoong start date of employment ni Manang mape-penalize daw kami and we have to pay for the whole six years (again!) 

So from June2013 onwards when we pay for our Manang's SSS naka-indicate na yung Employer Number namin.

3.) Completed and signed R1 form (accomplished in 3 copies). Start of operation date is also 01Jun2013.

4.) Completed and signed L501 form specimen signature card. Pero ito tiningnan lang and hindi kinuha.


Walang binayaran na fees or anything when filing for the Employer Number.

I have gone to SSS today to get my  employer number. Take note,hndi pwedeng gamitin ang SSS employee number kaya talagang kailangan nyo kumuha ng employer number . You can download the forms   ( R-1 and R-1A ) sa website  and fill it up na para mabilis. You are also required to sign signature cards.

Pwede namang ipadala sa maid nyo , just make sure na complete lahat ng details dahil baka hindi kayang sagutin ni Inday ang tanong kung may kulang.

I also paid for the monthly contribution for June . Supposed to be July pa sana mae-employ itong kasama ko, pero hindi pala pwedeng mag register in advance kung hindi pa siya employed . So, para hindi masayang ang  lakad ko, sinabi ko na June na ang employment niya . Kasi , hanggang June lang naman open ang SSS ng Saturday.  Ayoko naman mag absent pa ako para lang mag register pa.

Problem is kailangan mag submit ng R 3 ( contributions collection list) quarterly , which in my case is in another SSS branch dahil yung pinuntahan ko na branch is hindi pala sila ang servicing branch ng area namin. 


I tried registering online for the payment and reporting, but the application is asking for a 13 digit employer number , eh ang employer number na ibinigay is only 8 digits. Have to call them to clarify. Hirap pa namang tumawag . Hmmp!

Haay, Philhealth  at Pag ibig pa. Hassle talaga . Sana  nag allow na lang ng voluntary contributions na sagot ng employer para di na tayo maistorbo pa.

Ano naman yung ECC?

And question again...if the yaya sleeps with her alaga during the kid's nap time, is that considered part of her 8hr aggregate rest hours? Cause technically she's still working/on duty. If di kasama, wow! If ang alaga tulog ng 2hrs, si yaya tulog din ng 2 hrs.

^ Re ECC - When you pay the SSS premium, may column dun for ECC , Php10 lang nman for all salary bracket.

Example : If the salary of your maid is Php 3,000 , the amount payable is Php 312 for SSS  + 10 for EC so total Php322 ang babayaran mo lahat.

Even before the kasambahay bill, meron na kami philhealth and sss contribution for our helper. Meron ba pinagkaiba makukuhang benefits kung under voluntary ang sss contribution? Parang hassle naman kasi paperworks nyan kung iibahin pa yung sa sss.

^may alagain pa bang bata sa household niyo? kasi kung wala, then you don't need a stay-in household help. you can do what i do, i just avail of cleaning services (Fix Express) and laundry services (Tuscan Laundry), so hindi ako yung employer, at least di ako ang mamomoroblema ng mga benefits nila, yung employer nila.

magiging problema ko to pag nagka-anak na ko kasi kakailanganin ko ng stay-in helper. pero as of now, di pa problema.

sis meimei iyan nga ang hanap ko cleaning services tapos ang dami naman laundry shops dito sa area namin so pwede nga ako walang HH.  i'm a SAHM and  i have a 1 1/2 yr old baby tapos my eldest 15 na sumunod 10 at 8y/o. pwede ko sila i service na lang para hindi na ako ang maghahatid sa school. thanks sis, at least now alam ko may iba akong option.

Sana magkaron ng maraming cleaning services at mauso na yung mga stay out na helpers. Kasi gaya nitong maid ko, nung umuwi sa province yung previous maid ko, itong maid ko ngayon (naging maid ko na din dati ito) ang nagpasabi na magwowork na ulit sya at gusto nya bumalik pero nagpasabi na kung pwede taasan ang sweldo nya. Dati kasi 3000, so sabi namin sige 3500. Aba sabi eh baka naman pwede gawin ng 4000. Since kailangan namin at wala naman kami makita at the time eh napilitan na kami pumayag. So namomroblema kami ngayon kasi 1000 increase nya agad agad tapos kung magbabayad pa kami ng mga sss, pagibig at philhealth agad agad din nasa additional more or less 600-700 ulit yun eh di naman namin kaya na. Kaya naiinis ako. Hirap na hirap na nga kami sa 1000 increase nya. Gusto ko naman sya ikuha ng sss, etc kaso naman san pa namin kukunin ang ibabayad dun. Tothink nga na 2500 lang naman ang starting salary dito sa manila according to kasambahay bill haaaay....

Sana magkaron ng maraming cleaning services at mauso na yung mga stay out na helpers.

sis, i just want to clarify, kahit stay-out helper, pero kung ikaw ang direct employer, applicable pa rin ang Kasambahay Law. so the better alternative is to avail of cleaning services kasi hindi ikaw ang direct employer nung cleaner. pero syempre, para lang to sa mga household na walang alagaing bata. pwedeng monthly/quarterly lang magpa-general cleaning. yun nga lang, hindi pa uso ito sa suburbs and provinces... anyway, ito yung "Cleaning Service" thread para hindi OT dito:

1 year akong walang maid kasi nag decide akong wag nalang e kaso nitong May lang, may inofer sa akin from Mindanao. kaya ayan nag start sya sa akin ng june... tapos biglang required na ang madaming bayarin hehe

Medyo one sided yung Kasambahay law.  Paano kung may outstanding utang sa iyo, tapos gusto umalis, parang hindi covered na pwedeng hindi payagan ng employer na umalis yung helper pag di pa niya bayad ang lahat ng utang? hehe

Kaya moral of the story.. Kahit mahirap, HUWAG MAGPAUTANG sa kasambahay..  Ako I learned the hard way.  I was always naawa sa mga kasambahay ko, until I met this Yaya of my son.  Kapag nagsusupermarket kasi ako and I bring my Yayas with me, if they need something - I buy it for them muna.  Yung Yaya ng eldest ko , she pays for her stuffs kaagad.  Itong si Yaya Mae, nako she will pretend to forget.  Eh ako, nakakalimutan ko narin.  Hanggang umalis na siya, I forgot about it!  And she owes me mga P500+ na.  So yun.. Ako P500.00 lang, but for some alam ko thousands eh...  So moral of the story - do not pa-utang sa mga helpers..

Ako talaga, hindi ako nagpa pautang/advance. 

But if a house staff requires medical treatment -- I send them to my docs, my hospitals & pay for it all.
But I draw the line at some medical expenses --  like, kung nag pa peel or glutha injection kung saan "mura" si Inday, at ayon -- nagka ewan ewan & needs medical intervention -- Aba, 'Teh! Ikaw magbayad nyang dulot  ng kaalembongan mo.

I actually came across a health insurance company na may packages for helpers.  I forgot the name, but I will search for it.

Agree ako dun sa utang part, sobra na akong talo  sa dami ng advances na di nakabayad over the years! So now ang policy ko, only max 1 month advance (pag umabot na siya ng 6 months).  Yung PhilHealth, willing ako bayaran kasi for their benefit din yun dahil hindi maiiwasan magkasakit.

PLUS! I saw this online. Ibo-bookmark ko ito at ipi-print, para kung kelangan for future reference or kung magkaissue with SSS, I can reference this article!

But Baldoz clarified that in the case the employer decides to just give the kasambahay extra money and send him/her to pay for the benefits, and the kasambahay ends up pocketing the money, the employer will not be held liable.

She said the employer would just have to write an authorization later or include the said agreement on the contract so that "mapatunayan mo na hindi ka naman nagkulang sa batas."

She also suggested that the employer ask a receipt from the household helper to verify that the benefits were paid.

"'Yung pagbabayad sa SSS, siguro kung talagang ina-authorize mo siya at in writing binibigyan mo siya ng pera then it turns out hindi niya binabayaran..., hindi naman siya makakapagcomplain na hindi siya member ng SSS kasi hawak mo naman 'yung kasulatan o payslip na this is for SSS at nareceive naman niya," Baldoz said.

Retroactive ba tong bill na to for the benefits like pag ibig, sss and philhealth? Meaning once we register the kasambahay... We have to pay for benefits for all the months they were employed under us or magsisimula lang computation ng babayaran na benefits since the law was signed nung feb 2013?

I heard on the radio na for SSS - YES you need to shoulder ALL back benefits.
SSS pala has been in effect since 1993 and if you have those helpers who have been employed with you after 1993 till present - yes, you need to pay all their back benefits PLUS 3% penalty per month!

Let's say she's been with you since 2009 - that means from 2009 till present kelangan mo bayaran yung contributions PLUS 3% penalty.. YIKES!! Ang bigat nito ha..

Mga househelp nyo ba pumayag pag i-record sa sss na june 2013 lang sya nag start sa inyo? Maid ko kasi 1 and half year na at medyo makwestyon un pagdating sa pera.
