Myoma and pcos sakin.

i was diagnosed with pcos last december. na surprise pa ko kasi super biglaan yung konsulta ko sa OB.  i was only accompanying my grannie that time, and nasingit lang ako when i mentioned na ang heavy ng mens ko at first time ko maka experience ng twice a month na mens.

and then yun nga, i got ultrasound, may nilagay na something sa vajayjay ko and my ob said na i have pcos sa left ovary. thats why ang dami daw ng acne ko along the jawline. ive got no problems when it comes to my weight (hindi pa naman ovrweight), but pansin ko ang hirap mag lose ng weight. and it seems like nadadagdagan nalang ng nadagdagan thru the years at hindi nababawasan. :( i was kinda worried tuloy na kung ganto sistema eh baka matuluyan nako ma-overweight. hay

anyway, my ob prescribed me pills, at first it was duphaston and then pinalitan niya to diane 35. naubos na pills ko and hindi p ko nakakabalik. wala padin akong mens buong month na march. :(

Hi I was also diagnosed with PCOS last May 2012. My OB prescribed me the diane 35 but after 4mos of taking it i had always a stomach aches, like ulcer. So I visited again and she advised to shift with Yasmin. Okay naman ang effect sa akin when it comes to my stomach though sa skin ko not at all, bumalik yun pimples ko. I was advised to take it for 6mos. and have to come back to another TVS para to check if no more PCOS but still meron pa daw. So have to continue until 3mos. so I continued until 4mos pa nga, but decided to stop lang last March. Me and my fiance decided to at least nag-babakasakali na makabuo. I stop taking the pill last March 17, had my period at the 22nd, we had contact last 28th (unprotected), and had it again last Apr. 6.

Now what I am thinking would it be possible na makabuo kami? I have PCOS and wala pang at least 1 month after ko mag-stop ng pills?

I just want to know.. if you have ideas.. :) I'm kind of excited and scared na rin if kasi meron baka not good kasi kaka-stop ko lang..

Thanks mga sis!

^nagpills ako sis for 7months ng 2011. nagstop ako kasi parang ang sama sa pakiramdam. tumaba pa ako ng konti. since october 2011 until mabuntis ako ng august last year, wala akong iniinom. minsan lang din ako magvitamins. minsan lang din ang contact namin ng father ni baby but never kami gumamit ng protection akala kasi namin mahihirapan talaga ako magbuntis. on my first ultrasound para malaman kung ilang weeks na si baby kasi di ko alam lmp ko dahil hindi ako nagmens, spotting lang, may 1.6cm cyst pa ako sa left ovary. on my last ultrasound, 5mos preggy, clear na both ovaries..:)

baby dust to you sis! God bless..:)

nagcramps at masakit din boobs ko before ko nalaman na preggy ako. ganun kasi ako before magmens kaya for 2 weeks never ako nawalan ng napkin sa bag yun pala baby na. sobrang blessed kaming magina kasi iniwas ako ni Lord sa derma meds. naka1 night na akong apply. one of the creams was tretinoin na sobrang bawal sa pregnant. the next day, bigla akong napapreg test. ayun, positive! 1 week rin akong nagbedrest because of cramps. as far as i know, kahit 2 wks pa lang si baby sa uterus natin, madedetect na sa pt kit, much better kung serum. pero para reliable, at least a month..:)

Hello!

I was diagnosed with PCOS last 2005 when I was in college after irregular periods. So medyo matagal na din and i've solved some problems associated with it like acne and irregular periods. I've gone through all like different BCP,  appetite suppressant etc. The key really is to have a regular visit with your ob-endo who will tell you everything about it. I also do my own extensive research and read books about it.

To those who are prescribed to take metformin and stopped, please continue. Metformin is a wonder drug and has helped many people worldwide. It's mainly used to lower the secretion of glucose by our liver so it will help us maintain our blood sugar and cholesterol level down which then will help us with our metabolism and weight loss. There's no major major side effect in taking it for long so don't be afraid. Minor disturbances like diarrhea are common but your body will adjust and get used to it. The trick is to take your metformin right after your meal to avoid diarrhea. Oh metformin also helped me regulate my period! :)

I still take it now and on a low carb diet. After talking to my cardiologist and endo, they suggested a low carb (specifically starchy ones like rice, pasta, bread, potatoes and cereals) diet since PCOS and weight gain is related to insulin resistance and this is a carbohydrate metabolic syndrome meaning our insulin doesn't work well to turn the starchy carbs into glucose so it floods our bloodstream leading to weight gain, diabetes and other diseases.

So in summary, lifestyle modification talaga and medicine for PCOS maintenance. A 10% weight loss for heavier pcos patients will dramatically improve your condition. Pinaka naging problem ko talaga yung weight gain na kahit na diet and exercise is mahirap pa din at parang no effect. Buti na lang i found out that i really need to reduce starchy carbs or it will be nothing.

Take care to all! Regular visit with your doc and you can easily manage PCOS and live a normal life.  :)

girls, I need your opinion.

May time last year na naging regular ang period ko. Siguro mga almost 6 months din ata 'yun. Around 30-35 days. Late 2011 to 2012, naglose ako talaga ng weight kaya siguro nagnormalize din my period. I've been trying to change my makeups pero andun pa din. Obese talaga ako before. Pagkagraduate ko ng college, nagstart na ako maglose ng weight and gained weight again early this year then losing again ngayon. Overweight na lang ako sa BMI ngayon. I'm not yet diagnosed with PCOS pero really, ang hirap magpapayat talaga! Hay!

So I think nasa diet and exercise lang mostly 'yung management ng PCOS. Shempre I plan to have babies din naman. Planning to have myself checked by an OB sa 2014 kapag regular na ako sa work ko :) Hindi ko pa kasi maasikaso ngayon so diet and exercise muna.

Since HS irregular menstruation ko, every other month ako magkaroon. 3 years before before ako dumating kela Mama, so sa mga nababasa ko mukhang genetic yun sa akin.

Ask ko lang s amga nagtetake ng bcp if nag-age ba skin niyo while or after taking bcp?

^^Sis Blackgreen, PCOS din ako before. And depress din ako before kasi akala ko hindi na ako magkakaanak ulit. 1 boy lang kasi anak ko, and hindi na ako nabuntis for 7yrs. Been taking metformin nun and pills as treatment. Ayun nabuntis ako after 7 months. Now I have a 1yr old baby girl na.  :) Para hindi bumalik PCOS ko, I go to the gym regularly. Normal na mens ko up to now.

I was diagnosed with PCOS today and I'm only a teen. I was given a contraceptive pill (Yasmin) for a month and then I'll have to go back to Makati Med to have it checked. Could you guys give ideas of what food to eat? I'm trying so hard to lose weight and can't seem to budge from 150 pounds. :(

Im also a teen, & was prescribed yasmin for my pills. You should do physical activities & watch what you are eating. There's really no food recommended to be able to lose weight, but all you have to do is watch it & make sure that it's a HEALTHY & Well balanced meal.

Hello sisters!

Share share!

Ever since I was 12y/o, my period is irregular. There are times that even for 2yrs I don't have my period. Sometimes sobrang lakas ng bleeding to the point I used a small baby diaper. I know that time it's not normal. So, after I graduated from college and got a job.. I went to an OB-Gyne clinic for consultation and that was year 2008 and the OB said that I have PCOS. She prescribed Micropil where I gain weight. When my bf and I broke up last 2009. I stopped taking it. Regular period after couple of months. Then after 1 year I don't have my menstrual period again.

Then 2010.. Me and my boyfriend that time practiced unprotected sex but hindi ako nabubuntis.

Then 2011, I decided to seek for a medication with a different OB na.. Dra. Marisol Gorospe diagnosed that I still have PCOS. She gave me Povera. After taking one cycle - I have my period but I asked her if I can switch back to Micropil because its expensive, gaining weight with skin dryness. Even if I apply a moisturizer or lotion, my skin is still dry. She said that's fine. So after taking Micropil for a year and a half - regular period, skin is not dry anymore and this time I didn't gain weight. Also every after 6months, nag-TVS ako and still I have PCOS.

She asked me if I wanted to have a baby na ba coz she'll give me a pill pra magbuntis. Kze may PCOS patients si Dra. Gorospe na umiinon ng pills na un pra mabuntis (forgot the what's the term). Sabi ko not yet. Even if I have PCOS, sexual desire didn't lessen.

Tapos last Feb 2013, I decided to stop taking Micropil na then that's my last period. Since March up to now - I still don't have my period. Tapos last Feb as well, ngpa-check ko for possible STD - negative. Ngpa-pap smear din  - no infection.

Since I stopped taking Micropil last Feb, I've been experiencing abnormal feminine discharge - white mens or yellowish. There were days it will come out with unnecessary smell. So, I'm planning to visit my OB tomorrow or Thursday.
