Marose, so yung contingency fund pwede sa TD? Akala ko dapat accessible as in anytime kailangan kunin, makukuha. Or do you mean on top of the contingency fund pa? Anong ideal term ng TD for this purpose?

Emergency Fund namin(although we don't conciously see it as that...basta liquid fund na madaling hugitin..TD is not part of our EF kasi ang asa TD lang namin eh $) is in the Diamon Savings Account namin sa Chinabank and e-savings sa Citibank.

Parang dati Unionbank and Equitable meron.  Yun yung mga transient namin.  Pinapalaki namin yung amount and then we transfer to higher interest bearing accounts.

Kim - painject ka sa derma, the following day wala na yan. Baka nga infected na.

Maui - sabi ni Letty, puede daw in the name of your Mom na lang tapos irrevocable beneficiary ka so parang co-owner labas mo.  All transactions would require your signature. Ganun yung arrangement sa amin with my husband naman.

lisa, i got a TD na monthly ang maturity. so in effect, pwede ka magwithdraw monthly.

nesz, how much yung sa body shop and ang panoxyl?

weng, natawa ako sa pimples pimples go away. kelangan ng macover ng concealer for the pictures!

maussie, i don't think the injection would work kasi pumutok na siya. naputok ni K nung inuntog niya...

we have coop (paluwagan) sa office malaki laki din ang interest..last year umabot ng 70% interest
monthly ang hulog mo. it used to be kahit 15k per 15/30  tapos may one time ka pa na hulog max ng 300k.. kaso binago ang system ngayon..

Pang-contingency talaga iyan.  Yung pang-emergency/not so petty cash if you know what I mean, you can put in a savings account para madaling dukutin pero i-limit mo din kasi nga lugi talaga sa regular savings account. Yung pang long-term investment na palalaguin, that's the one you put sa MF.

Kaya like ko ang injection for the cystic pimples.

MLBB- lipstick, di ko pa nakikita to.

PC – Maja of PC sobrang ok talaga.

Oasis Oil – pano to gamitin mommies and san nabibili? sorry di ko nasundan ang topic. Hinahalo ba to sa water na pampaligo ni baby just like yung reco ni Grace or pahid?

Jai – liquid ang MF you can get it the next day yata if you redeem. Pero recommended talaga dito long term, yung tipong i invest mo tapos kalimutan mo muna for two years. yung ininvest ko sa FAMI nung Feb, ngayon May kumita na ng 7k or 5% not bad for 3 mos diba. Ang forecast by end of year is 20%

Rata- yung sa Sunlife is that compunded interest? kasi ang 5 years at 15% interest compounded is double your money or 100% interest.

Nag avail ako nito so a certain amount binabawas kada sweldo (rule ng investing 20% of the salary goes to forced savings pero good luck super hirap nito sundin) . Aba isang turukan 28k.

Kim, sa pagcompute ko around 18 to 20 weeks siya by August so pwede pa yun. :) Ako noon, nag travel ako papuntang SG on y 6th month. Maximum DAW nila yun.

We used to have that monthly TD ng BPI na tied to your Savings account na mas malaki ang interest per annum. Pero it wasn't for us kasi hindi kami makapunta palagi sa bank to sign the forms on a monthly basis. So ang ending hindi na namin tinuloy after about 8 months.

Michelle, what happens if ma miss mo mag deposit sa Save up?

Palaging may lip balm prior to use.

maussie, yup maga pa rin. kasi parang naging pasa na yung paligid ng pimple kakauntog and suntok ni K. what are the terms of your transient fund? bakit di agad agad makawithdraw? mas malaki interest niya than TD? makes sense nga yung ipunin muna ang money then pag malaki na, tsaka siya iinvest sa MF.

sisses, for my forced savings na gagawing contingency fund, would you suggest na I open a different account or pwede sa TD account muna ni K? san kaya mas kikita yun? two different accounts or one account that accumulates money?

marcia, ako nga nagtravel pa on my 7th month to jakarta pero kelangan ng clearance from the OB. i hope di maging maselan pregancy niya para matuloy pa din sila. :)

thanks nesz for the info!

Michelle - not sure if compounded eh.

Marcia - hindi naman ma-cloclose yung account siguro, they will just charge you 200php for dormant account.

Kim - yung transient funds namin for savings and for the kids, ordinary savings/checking accounts lang sila.  Pag medio lumaki na, we invest it, whether in stocks, MF, SDA, etc. Yung sa kids, very conservative kami.  DSA lang talaga.  Halos TD lang din ang interest.  Basta pera ng kids kasi ayoko ng risk.

Kasi mababa interest sa td diba so wag maglagay ng malaki. Eh 6 months sweldo malaki yon.

Hindi ba pwede ganito na lang? Lagay ko lahat sa vul or mf? Pag kailangan eh di magwithdraw. By kailangan i mean yung totoong need like hospital and the like.

And pala kasi 500k max insured with pdic diba? So your contingency fund should really be split across banks para pasok sa max?

Dapat 1 year tenure so next year balak ko gawin yan.

Macia, if every month you deposit to that account, di naman siya mad-dormant diba?

michele, san nabibili si mario badescu? nirecomment yan ng officemate ko and how much?

marcia, kelangan ba every month pumunta sa bank for the TD? hindi ba pwede bayaan lang yun then lalaki na lang siya? naku! ilang months ko na di napupuntahan account ni K.

maussie, baka kelangan ko na nga patingin but i have no time. i can't file a leave pa this week coz dami ko pa hinahabol.

re Save Up: meron din ako nyan.. walang effect sakin

re MF: dapat talaga hindi mo gagamitin for a long time or 2 years? kasi naalala ko sabi ni michelle pwede ka malugi pag mali ang timing mo sa pag withdraw. unlike TD na kung magkanu dineposit mo, yun talaga ang withdrawable amount mo plus interest. unlike MF na pwede bumaba/mabawasan pera mo.

sa PDIC: tama, dapat hatiin ang pera or put in other banks.

Marcia - per month yun. Kaya tinanggal ko lahat ng pera ko sa BPPI, wala man sila warning nagbabawas na pala sila (not dormant...dun ako sa minimum balance tinamaan). Eh they give statements quarterly lang. Tapos yung sa isang friend ko naman, nalimutan about the TD for 13 years, hindi na binigay even if yung certificate asa friend ko pa.  No proof rin sila if they escheated in favor of the National Treasury as mandated by a Special Law.  In other words, pinocket lang nila yung pera!  >:(

Lisa - depende talaga yan sa risk appetite mo.  :D  Walang one-size fits all when it comes to savings and investments.

Kim - naku wag sana lumala. On the TD, ako hindi ako pumupunta sa bank everytime.  Basta papa update ko lang yung certificate when I feel like it haha.

kim: hindi naman kelanbgan every month magpunta .. or tuwing mag due due ang TD mo (be it 30 60 or 90) kasi tatawag naman si fund manager (ba tawag sa kanila) to ask you kung itutuloy mo TD mo you can simply say yes and sabihin mo daanan mo some other time yung cert or ipadeliver mo sa kanilang messenger
