worth it ba mag strings for the reception pa??? wala akong any live band or entertainment during reception proper but I'm getting the strings sa church.

may nagsabi kasi sa akin n hindi naman noticeable to during reception (where they play during dinner)...parang same lang daw kung piped in music na lang?

^Hindi naman "need" ang strings, sis. Ayoko lang kasi mag piped in music lang. Mas gusto ko talaga may strings/vocals at worth it naman sakin yung price nung nakuha kong supplier. Pero kung oks na sayo piped in music, go for it.

was supposed to book MPO for our jan2015 wedding but they said they are still finalizing their rates for 2015.

pinkaboo - not really naman sis, if may sound system na kayo and yung emcee mo mag coordinate ng playlist (yung emcee kasi namin nung wedding nag assist din sa playlist) di naman na need. Pero kami kasi may strings kami both sa church and reception. nagustuhan naman ng guests lalo na nung kumakain, plus ang dami kasi namin bisita na oldies kaya na appreciate nila. hehe! kapag formal ang reception, okay to. pero kapag yung tipong hindi naman, mas maganda siguro yung may sarili kang playlist or band nalang.

For those who got Manila Philharmonic, is it true na nakalagay sa contract nila na buffet din ang meal nila?

sila yun strings supplier namin nung wedding pero sa church lang. they did well pa din naman! i love their instrumental version of "a thousand years" during my bridal march kahit lutang ako. haha. good luck sis! Merjohn is so nice, last meeting booking ko sila i think 2 weeks before the wedding pero naaccommodate pa din nya requests namin.

You won't regret you got them. I was hesitant at first to get them kasi medyo di ko type yung videos nila sa youtube, probably because di ganun kaganda kuha sa video. pero when you listen to them live, ang galing galing. even my foreign guests na impress. ninong ninangs too sobrang good feedback. abbey lubang is such a great singer. malamig boses and thank goodness ok diction niya.

Hi, newbie here. I initially thought we wont be needing strings anymore, but after reading the posts here, might actually consider getting one kung kaya pa ng budget. Does anyone here has the rates of moh, bernie pasamba and libante? Other suggestions are also welcome. Thanks in advance! Btw, this will be for october wedding

i'm thinking of getting Stradavarius String Ensemble. i'll get quartet for church and reception. they have a youtube account din so you can check how they are. they have a booth now sa megatrade, so we might go back tomorrow to book them. 10% discount.

UPDATE: we decided to get philharmonic na lang. nothing wrong with stradavarius, but my fiance's parents just prefer philharmonic. their rates now are 19K for quartet, church and reception + 6K singer. less 1k because we booked during the fair. this is the lowest discount we got sa fair haha. oh well.

and, it's part of their contract that they be provided plated meals, no packed meals.
