Yun nga sinabi ko e. I don't mind naman kung maliit lang yung room as long as comfortable and malinis. Practical pa, magagamit yung extra money for other things. Pero first baby kasi so siyempre gusto ng families namin na makavisit buong barangay.;D

^Cardinal is not a primary care center for Maxicare. However, you can claim up to a certain amount or percentage depending on what your plan covers.

My company HMO is also Maxicare and I will be giving birth at Cardinal. What I need to find out lang is how payment is managed - whether we have to pay cash out initial and claim reimbursement or it the covered portion under Maxicare will be deducated from our bill. I tried calling the Maxicare hotline several times yesterday but no one was answering  :-\

I checked with the admitting section yesterday after my OB checkup and was informed that I would only have to pay the amounts in excess of my Maxicare coverage. So let's say if Maxicare covers PHP2,000/room/night and I got a room that cost PHP2,500/room/night then I would have to shell out the 500 lang. Also, no deposit na daw required with Maxicare if it includes maternity.  :D

I checked the room rates as well, small private room (19-20 sq mtrs) is PHP2,200/night while a big private room (about 25 sq. mtrs) is PHP2,500/night. These are both for rooms w/o gold course view. Suites begin at 6 or 7K I think. Executive suite is 20K hehe

I suggest you try asking, if TMC has packages I'm sure Cardinal might too, TMC is an even bigger hospital pa. I didn't notice any packages though when I inquired on the room rates, but then again I didn't ask because I have HMO coverage naman.

meron na sis. kaso once palang ako naka punta for pap smear. hindi na ako nakabalik kasi kinukulit ko na secretary nya hindi pa rin ako mabigyan ng sched. hanggang sa napagod na ko... i like their facilities sa cardinal. kahit sa clinic ng doctors. luma pero malinis. :)

Our total bill amounted to roughly 100K for NSD epidural, big private room. Since I have maxicare, a big portion of the fees were covered, our only cash out was about 55K, 40K of which is my OB's PF (she's not under maxicare) but I can claim up to 15K from maxicare and baby's hospital fees of 15K which I can also claim under maxicare. I'm estimating our total cash out for our baby's birth after all the reimbursements will be about 25-30K.

Our big private room at 2,500/day was fully covered under maxicare, anesthesiologist was also fully covered under maxicare.

I've posted my experience also under the hospital rates thread, my experience with Cardinal Santos was great! Friendly and caring nurses all throughout from labor, delivery, recovery, room and nursery.

hi sis glamorosa!

do you have an idea how much ang package ni dra madrigal-dy pag NSD and small private room?

i want to give birth sana at CSMC kaso hindi ganun kalaki budget ko.  My current OB is only affiliated to TMC, sabi sa reviews, umaabot ng P90K daw ang NSD tapos private room. Ayoko naman ng ward package nila.  I already compared their private rooms, mas spacious nga sa CSMC.

So I am considering Dra. Madrigal-Dy sana.  But hopefully much lower ang total costs.

Thanks!

^congrats sis!

^ hi sis sassygirl

based sa nabasa ko na reviews dati, habang nagreresearch ako about her, she works around the budget of her patients. Nagbibigay din daw sya ng advice para makatipid ka. Mabait naman sya kaya pwede mo syang tanungin about budget concern.

Yon na ba yong economized package even with other OBs?
