Durable Clothes

i have lots and lots of esprit but not all of them are durable although the stitching are good but the fabric not so much.

for shirts, i like calvin, tommy and lacoste. local brand, i would say bench is not that bad, i dunno if paperdoll brand is still available in sm malls but the quality of that brand is good.

^I think I saw Paperdoll at GTW section of SM Department Stores (Sta. Mesa and Manila). I was eyeing some of their dresses. Mas maganda kasi ang quality ng tela at stitching nila. No wonder their clothes are a bit expensive than Redhead and Shopaholic.

G200 are my favorites nowadays, especially yung button-down nila.

For Dept store brands, BNY is my no. 1 pick for plaid shirts.

I saw a documentary recently about 'fast fashion'.  Since then I've been more aware of clothing and brands that I support. Sweat shop free and made locally I.e. Here in the US.  Or if made overseas I try to support fair trade companies.   The same goes for shoes.

I buy a lot of local brands, although meron din mga imported from time-to-time. I usually look at the cloth used (shirts/blouses & dress), stitching, zipper (jeans/shorts) & buttons, neckline (ayoko yung madaling lumambot/lumawlaw), and the comfort factor.

For jeans, I have Lee (over 6 years old & it's still a favorite!), Bench, Guess, Bobson (super comfortable!), Wrangler, Levi's, and Freego (already more than 10 years old & I can still wear it!). I also have a lot of leggings since I regularly practice yoga. My leggings are from Terranova.

My Giordano v-neck shirts are favorites. Almost 5 years old, but still looking & feeling the same (when I wear them). I also have shirts from Bench and Lacoste. I have a lot of tank tops for workout from Terranova, as well as Skechers workout shirts (super comfy!). I don't buy a lot of blouses, but I usually don't mind about the brand when I do. I look at the quality & design. Most of my blouses are unbranded; some are from Landmark.

I also favor homegrown brands (Cagayan de Oro) like Mags and Bettina, and our Gaisano here. My What A Girl Wants jeans is also a favorite (although WAGW is Cebu-based & has closed shop here in CDO). I buy a lot of stuff from the "ukay-ukay" or bargain stalls. I've had some of them for years and they're still a-ok!

I notice that men and boys clothes material is better than womens. That is why I would buy a lot in that department especially shirts and pants.

Zara and Uniqlo for me. My pieces from more than five years ago still look and feel quite brand new.

yung sa zara chambahan lang ang pagbili ng damit. I bought a lot of shirts (mga 20+)  from their 2015 S/S collection most of the materials are not good may isa nga isang labahan lang lumiit ang size at yung iba may lukot factor pag natuyo. But last year F/W collection ang ganda ng tela and quality. I bought all of them online kasi wala kaming store ng zara here sa lugar ko.

Wrangler and Levis jeans are durable. Another would be Anne Klein, my nanay passed down to me her Levis white jeans, and it looks cool.
