Lisa - oo nga, classmates!  pero sis sabe at least 4 years old daw by Oct (current year), pano kaya si Bianca since November siya? okay pa din ba yun kase days lang naman.

Kim - oo nga, parang napapansin ko, halos sisses dito eh kuntento na sa 1 baby  ako naman, okay na din sa isa kase pag naiisip ko pinagdaanan ko sa pagbubuntis, parang di ko na kakayanin ulit. Pero if may isa pa, okay din. Pero not too soon sana para naman makaipon pa. LOL!

I like Poveda too but it's too far from us. For gradeschool, I'm considering Assumption Antipolo but since malayo pa naman, lots of time pa to look for other options. Kung naging boy ang baby namin, gusto ni hubby mag LSGH kase alumni sya don but I objected kase mas gusto ko pa din Ateneo hehe

For preschool, I'm looking at Montessori School at Kent which is inside Filinvest East. It's so near our place pero nearer the time, again, baka may ibang options pa. Small ratio lang kase yung school na yon and may teacher aide pa kahit pa maliit lang ang size ng class.

Regarding baby, naku ako gusto ko talaga 1 lang sana. Pero naisip ko din na gusto ko may baby boy din so after a couple of years baka mag-try kame ulit hoping for a boy this time. For now, I'm enjoying my time with Zoe. Madalas naiisip ko kulang na kulang pa yung time ko sa kanya, I think ganon talaga pag first time mom.

Lisa, I worked in SGV Tax Division from 1998 to 2002.  Tax is not as toxic as Audit.  Who was your boss in Consulting?  Kevin Belmonte?  Winnie Chan? Mildred Ramos?

Pia, I know your brother-in-law.  We were from the same market circle, yung Kay Manny Reyes.  Kaya when I saw him at Kyle's party, naisip ko familiar face.  Hindi ba pinadala siya ng SGV abroad?

Masaya sa SGV when I was there.  grabe, di ako nakaipon!  Gimmick every night kami.

Marose, i was with SGV from 1997 to 2001. I was originally with Tito Aliga's group then i moved to B C-It under winnie chan. Nung nag-SAP na ako in 1999, i moved to manny bautista's team. Masaya din ang SGV days ko, until now very close to my groupmates. Hindi din ako nakaipon noon kasi ang liit ng sweldo! 8k lang sweldo ko noon. When the 1st starbucks opened sa 6750, we would bring baon everyday so we could go for coffee everyday. Kaya ko pang kakarin yon even in 3" heels! Ngayon tamad na ako maglakad ng ganon.

Kim, didnt know may army navy na pala don. We used to go to bf lang for bun on the run pero sarado na. Cambridge is progressive. Meron dito sa high street.

Jen, napaisip din ako bigla sa age limit. Kawawa naman si bianca kung late ng isang taon ang pasok kung ganon.

RE number of kids, gusto ko talaga dati ZERO! pero binigyan ako ng isa so ngayon gusto ko ISA lang. Pero kung bigyan ng isa pa, ok lang.

Magkano na kaya ang college tuition ng babies natin nyan?! Iniisip ko pa lang natatakot na ako kaya pinupush ko din si hubby na i-go na namin yung sunlife eh. Di ako mapakali.

Marose, Ay Onga pala. I remember namention mo nga pala before. Yes pinadala sya Sa US in 2002. Client call yun then na-pirate sya. Unfortunately nag trigger ang epileptic attacks Nya when he started working at SGV. Sa US environment sya gumaling (there's no cure but less attacks). Kaya migrate sila ni ate dun. Dun sila nag start ng family. May phobia ako Sa SGV. Kasi apart from the epileptic attacks ni BIL, ang papa ko (we assume) na ang cause of death Ay extreme stress lalo na tax season. He slept in the office most of the time during tax season. Nakakaloka! Family of accountants kami Sa side ni papa. Mom side Wala kasi only child sya.

I'd be glad to have 2 or more kids if and only if manalo ako Sa lotto dito. Lol

Lisa iniisip ko din yan. Now pa lang grabe na sa expensive ang tuition fees. Imagine 3-4 years from now when it's really time to send them to school diba. And college!! Grabe!

Lisa, hubby and I invested in variable life insurance for the kids' college fund.  Sun Life and Manulife yup,  My mom recently passed the exam to be an insurance agent so she is urging me to take a look at some of the investment products of her company, PRU Life UK.  Aaralin ko then share ko here.

Meanwhile, we have to spend for preschool education!  Not a joke considering that what we paid for one year of preschool is a lot more than what my parents paid for college at UP!  Ngayon pa lang, I am dreaming of sending my kids to my alma mater then hope we have enough savings to send them abroad for postgrad if they want to.  One of my dreams is to study abroad kaya lang kulang kami sa funds.

Oh, about Poveda and big schools in general.  Very strict sila sa age requirement.  Kaya buti na Lang
My kids' birthday is on June.  December 15 ang cut-off ng Ateneo for prep.  May inaanak ako January 5 ang birthday, he had to wait another year before taking the exam for prep.

Pia,  so sorry about your dad.  Iba talaga the toxicity of working in Audit, especially during the busy season.  Hindi ko nga maintindihan why may mga nagtatagal sa Audit.


By the way,Lisa, my friend from SGV Tax, one of my barkadas in fact, is married to Winnie Chan.  Small world.  Ang [textspeak!] pala dati ay ang department sa SGV where maraming rich kids.

Van, my sun life agent showed me their projection of tuition fees. In 2020 or 2025 yata, 1mil/term na sa la salle! Que horror!

Marose, we're also getting a VUL for bianca. But the agent said if my husband and i dont have enough coverage yet, better daw to get additional VULs for us than to get a new one for bianca. Eh my coverage is only 1.5mil, my husband naman 1mil lang kaya the agent's suggestion makes sense. But my husband and i cant't decide which option is better. Kayo, what did you do? Are the VULs in the twins' names or sa inyo?

Joan diba is the nane of WAC's wife? I met her nung 60th anniv party ng SGV sa polo club. Did you go to the homecoming last year? I was pregnant then eh kaya tinamad ako.

Madami ngang rick kids sa consulting noon, especially in KGB's group. My very first day in SGV, my groupmates had lunch at cafe rizal. I was so intimidated! Regularly ba ganon? How could they afford that with the meager salary? Naloka ako. Dati hindi naman ako nage-english sa normal conversation lang. Ay nako. Ibang tao don kahit tagalugin mo english ang sagot kaya napapa-english na din ako. Ang the first 2 months in WAC's group, i did not speak to anyone. Then one time i answered the phone then told this person there was a call for him. Nagulat sila and they said "she speaks". I became more sociable when i was in sgv. Magandang first job ang sgv.

Ang mahal magkaanak! Ang hirap ng expenses kasi malaki ang expenses talaga monthly tapos at the same time, you have to save na din for the future.

I have a VUL for myself at manulife, maliit lang 500k.  Then, my life insurance coverage is 1 M, kinuha ko when I was single pa.  Hubby has life insurance coverage for the same amount, which I asked him to get when we got married, mahirap na.  Then, we got VULs for the children, not sure how much ang total.  Nag- start kami sa pakonti-Konti then we  get another with bigger coverage and investment component.  Sa SunLife lahat iyan.  Mom is suggesting to me to get another one from PRU.  Aaralin ko muna pero since mommy ko siya mapapakuha ako for sure.

I want to start investing in the stock market.  Nag- start na kami pakonti-Konti at maganda naman.  So, aaralin ko din iyan.

Lugi kasi I-save sa TD Lang ang money.

^Yan din naisip ko Marose. Lugi sya sa TD kase konti lang interest tapos after some time, yung value ng let's say 1M eh hinde na kasinglaki ng value when you started the TD because of inflation. So parang pinapatulog lang yung money talaga ng walang nangyayari.

Van, nagulat nga ako nung nakita ko yon. La salle ang pinakamahal sa list nila. The others on the list are ateneo and UAP. Kaya gusto ko talaga matuloy na itong VUL nato para committed na kami sa annual payments. The longer we put it off, the higher the premium for the insurance component becomes kaya dapat talaga asap na. And the earlier we do it also, the better kasi 100k/year is easier now than pag nagstart na magschool kasi may tuition nang babayaran non.

Marose, may nagoffer sakin ng pru life before. Don ko unang nalaman about VULs. But we're opting fkr sun life kasi mas kampante kami sa agent. Friend kasi. Yung sa pru referral ng referral ng referral so we were iffy.

I am looking naman for a christian school for Amber. Meron sa village naming christian school and I think okay naman dun at least super lapit, sa kabilang street lang.

La Salle talaga ang pinakamahal na tuition.  Kahit sa elementary,mas mahal sa LSGH than Ateneo.

Wow,daunting ang P100k per year na premium pero Kung quarterly payments, carry iyan.  My Sun Life agent naman would usually ask me how much premium we can afford to pay per quarter and works out a plan from there.  Then, upgrade kami by getting another one.  For example, we got a
Flexilink, then Maxilink.  My tip is not to go for a too high value if you think it is very daunting to pay the premiums for the value of the VUL or policy.  You can always upgrade, top up or add to your portfolio as your income improves.

PRU actually introduced the VULs daw here.  But Sun Life and Philamlife are more known.  I will check the tons of product materials that my mom has and let you know about it here.

Nabasa ko kasi dati sa magazine, mga 6yrs ago na, eto yung nasa list nila ng pinakamahal na tuition fee per unit: UA&P, ADMU, CSB, DLSU, SSC and AC. Hindi ko na alam yung ibang kasama sa list, pero wala naman dyan yung mga IS, etc.

Marose, daunting nga but if timed correctly (ie dec pag may 13th month pay), better for us kasi at least don mapupunta a portion of this kesa sa shopping nanaman. Then later on we add pa konti-konti. Bigger return din if we start big agad kasi longer investment period.

Miriam and UST kasama din. I was from Miriam and every year they would increase the fees pero wala naman improvement sa facilities, like the rooms were still not airconditioned kase daw pro-environment ek ek pero yung mga offices nila airconditioned, how contradicting diba.

Oh well, I love Miriam College but I wont send Zoe there heehee

Re usapang tuition fee, ay true yan! mahal na siguro pag tayo ang nagpa-college pero although we are thinking about their future, isipin din natin that come mag-college na sila, our compensation din increases. Syempre that's what yearly appraisal is for di ba? To equate with the needs of employees as prices go high. Ako naman, not a fan of college insurance eh (I have an aunt who puts up her money in CAP for my cousins education, come college and till now, ayun heartbroken pa din), siguro when we have huge savings after namin makabili ng house soon, we will invest it na lang in real estate, maybe farm lots. Come college na si baby, double or triple na din siguro price pwede na ibenta should the need arise, mas ayos pa at least wala na ako iisipin na baka maluge ang insurance agency (no matter how strong that company is right now). But of course, iba iba naman tayo ng opinion, akin lang naman po ito 

Also, just had a long conversation with our CEO kagabe, and I'm super happy kase I will be moved na from Recruitment to his Department. Ayos! Mas mapapabilis pagiipon nito!  Although ayaw ako payagan ng boss ko, kase daw gem niya ako...pumayag na din with my promise that I will still help her team from time to time  Thank God talaga, bruha kase boss ko and super pressure weekly. God is good!
