^^ Baby's turning 6 mos sa 20th but our pedia advised us we don't necessarily have to switch since hiyang pa naman si baby sa milk. And like clueless said pwede siya til 12 mos.

we still have 2 cans (kaka-open lang ng 1 yesterday) left of similac hw. baby is 5 months old na. pedia said finish na lang the 2 cans then switch na to gain. sana ok pa din kay baby ang gain para we can get them again discounted.

i usually find big cans of similac hw plus sa mercury drug P917 2 wks ago. my baby's going to be 2 mos old on 25th. pansin ko lang medyo smelly at mas madalas utot ni baby compared when she was using enfalac. nagka-rosacea kasi sya so change yung milk after a month.

re pagiging colic, pansin ko yun a few days after baby was drinking the milk. pero after 2 days ok na sya, ututin naman, pero ok lang kaysa umiiyak sya. minsan parang natawa nga si baby nung mautot nang malakas.

my baby has moved to stage 2 milk - gain advance plus.

hindi na amoy bakal. and mas malabnaw. she likes it and so far, so good naman.

Anyone else who has moved to stage 2 milk?

My baby got constipated with gain advance plus so we switched back to similac hw. Pedia said baka gain is too rich daw so we'll try again at 9 months, baka by then kaya na niya.

How about your babies? What stage 2 milk did you give or are you planning to give?

^ sis, yes, we switched back to similac hw. But my baby was in the hospital from saturday to wednesday because of amoebiasis. Pedia advised us to give simulac lactose free munela for now. Hopefully soon makabalik kami ulit sa hw kasi ang dami pa namin stock.

^ thanks. she's ok na. amoeba-free as of kanina. but monitor pa din for the next 3 months her stool. ang galing ng homeopathic meds ni dr chen! we're thinking maybe nakainom siya ng bath water, yon lang ang nakikita naming possible cause. kasi we heat water but we mix tap water to get the right temp. not we use purified water na.

we got the go-signal today to stop na with similac LF ang switch back to similac HW. then when she turns 9 months, we'll try gain advance plus again.

Similac HW has a new can na pala..kagabi ko lang nakita kaya pala ang tagal nawalan ng stock dun sa amin..Gold na yung can niya..

same lang ba taste ng similac hw and similac lactose free pag tinimpla? kasi yng baby na turning 6 months, nung thursday naka 3 poop na watery he is using similac hw malambot poop pero not watery. advise ng pedia change to enfapro lactose free, vit A gel, erceflora and e-zinc. kaso ayaw nya lasa ng enfapro lactose free. sobrang pahirapan.. kaya balik kami uli sa similac hw. gusto ko sana malaman is same taste ang similac hw and LF bago ako bumili..

^ my baby took similac lactose free when she had diarrhea/amoebiasis. Mas matamis ang LF at wala yung parang kalawang/bakal smell ng hw. Parang ka-tipo ng gain yung LF in terms of smell and taste.

My baby took erceflora, zinc and vitamin a too.

questions:

1. Gano katagal mag eeffect yung similac LF sa pagtigas ng poop ng baby m?. Nagstart kami kahapon (Sunday).
Tapos nag poop sya kanina morning watery pa rin color yellow.

2. Yung erceflora, hinahalo mo ba sya sa milk or water? how many times a day yung erceflora nya?

^ my baby was in the hospital for 4 days. Watery ang poop niya non even while still taking similac lf. Siguro on the 4th or 5th day um-ok. Matagal namin naubos ang 1 small can kasi she was hooked to an IV and wasnt drinking milk much.

Erceflora we mix 1 vial with milk. She takes 4oz per feedong but we set aside 1oz and mix the erceflora para sure na maubos niya then we gave the remaining 3oz.

Erceflora was once a day and had to be given at around the same time each day, give or take 1-2 hours.

hi, all!

my baby is 3 months old now and we've been giving him Similac Plus Advance (the one with the color blue in the label) since I started working again. however, we bought Similac HW last week because the one that we always buy was out of stock. we thought ok na din yun since this one is for 0-12 months old. we just notice that this variant seems a little bit oily. im not sure if you notice that too, but unlike yung original na binibili namin, this one, pag naubos na ni baby ang milk napapansin ko na sobrang madulas yung loob na part ng bottle tsaka nipple. ganun ba talaga yun? nakakapagworry lang pero we're going to buy a can of milk ulet later maybe i'll find elsewhere na lang kung out of stock pa din sa Waltermart yung unang ginagamit namin.

@javsmom: yes sis...oily talaga ang similac HW...my baby's drinking that for about 6 mos na. Kaya nga when it comes sa pagwash ng bottle kinakapa ko un bottles inside kasi mahirap tanggalin minsan as well as sa nipples.

mga mommies anong mas ok similac lf or similac hw..kasi magpapalit na baby ko ng similac from enfalac lf..matigas kasi sya magpoopn usually 3 days bago sya magpoop kya minsa supository ko sya..dami n nya natry na milk from s26,nanhw then now enfalac lf,colic din kasi sya and naglulungad.sana mag ok na sya sa similac pg try namin.
