I did trainings in the past. Although gusto ko muna mag stay sa bahay ngayon. My husband and I are trying to conceive and we don't want to put stress on my daily life. We've been wanting to have a baby for years na so we don't wanna risk it. But I will be going back. No questions about that. All About Staffing ang agency ko. How about you? They applied me to Texas although I have a Cali nclex.

^ Sis ciara, I like canada too. next to US, I want to migrate to canada. If it's ok to ask, how did you process it?

Mas qualified pa asawa ko. hehe Anyway, you did it by yourself or you hired an agency to do it for you? The girls in canada thread said it's better to DIY the process. What's your take on it?

I'm the principal applicant, mas mahaba kasi yung years of experience ko as a nurse kaya mas mataas points ko. Kami lang ng hubby ko, no kids yet. Just applied on our own and I suggest u do the same. Lahat naman ng instructions nasa website nila.

^ Great! Thanks sis for giving us some details. We'll look at that possibility. Wait! last question though, how long was your experience and what is the minimum requirement? Do they take training and volunteer as an experience too? So our other colleagues can learn from you too.

You have to have a minimum of 1 year paid experience so hindi kasama dun ang training and volunteer experience. When I lodged my application, I have more than 3 1/2 years of experience as a staff nurse and 6 months as a clinical instructor. HTH.

pag ba na-file na ng employer yung immigrant visa, kelangan pag dumating na yung time, kelangan ba currently working sa tertiary hospital?
kaka-file pa lang naman nung sakin late last year, so matagal pa ang hihintayin ko. alam nung employer na im currently working sa clinic lang, pero i have 2 years experience sa hospital before na magwork ako sa clinic. director of nursing sa US yung nag interview and she said pwede naman kahit volunteer lang, they are not after the certificate daw ang gusto lang nila eh ma expose pa ako sa bedside care. di rin nya ako pinag resign sa current work ko kasi mahirap nga daw makahanap ng trabaho sa pinas at mahirap ang pera, kaya suggestion nya sa akin mag duty ako atleast 3x a week as volunteer. pero ni-proritize nya kaming i-file kasi meron ako cgfns cert., nclex-rn at visa screen at current ielts.
pero naisip-isip ko na bumalik na sa work sa hospital kasi 5 years na akong pahinga, puro kasi ako pahinga, kaya nag sisisi na ako, sana pala nagtiis ako dati as ER nurse. bata pa kasi ako noon, nalulungkot ako kapag yung mga kasama ko sa work nag aalisan na napunta na sa US. 
mag apply nga kami this friday ng firend ko na kasama ko din sa ER before na nagpahinga din ng mahabang panahon. lol
im still single pa naman.

dun sa website ng canadian immigration ang requirement is general module ng ielts, pero sa pagkaka-alam ko ang kelangan is academic for professionals like us nurses. ano po ba talaga? thanks!

Academic – Institutions of Higher and Further Education

General Training – for school, work or migration
The General Training format focuses on basic survival skills in broad social and workplace contexts. You have to take the GT module. May mga kakilala ako na Acad ang sinubmit, pinagtake ng GT which resulted in a delay in the processing of their application. Yung iba naman, dineny na outright yung application nila bec. Acad ang pinadala nila.

Sis, eto ay based sa dati kong alam when we lodged our application ha? Hindi ko alam kung may bagong regulation. Sabi ng agency ko, "not necessarily na employed" daw. Kasi pagdating dun, entry-level pa din ang pasok mo. Yun nga lang daw, mas maganda din kung may experience para hindi na mahirapan sa pag aadjust. And dun din ata magbe-base yung salary. The better experience you have here, medyo mas mataas yung salary mo kumpara sa iba na wala talagang practice.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, sisters who are also 'waiting in vain' like me. LOL! 

And speaking of practice, this previous hospital where I did my training called up earlier. They invited me for their volunteer program. Sweet! Kahit walang salary, uhm, medyo sure na makakapasok din as hired nurse kasi sa volunteer pool kukuha ng pamalit sa nagreresign. Hay.. Hope everything will turn out well.

^thank you sis. natatakot ako baka pag biglang TIME ko na at ininterview ako baka bigla akong ma-deny? meron bang cases na na-deny kasi not employed?
next month mag start na ako (probationary nurse, hindi bayad ang off for 6 months, after 6 months regular na) dito sa tertiary hospital sa province where I worked before 5 years ago. kasama ko ang friend ko na nagresigned din dati. naiinip na ako kasi super tambay ako for 5 years pero may side line ako sa clinic every saturday.
goodbye na sa alas-9 na pag gising sa umaga. 
goodbye na sa mahaba kong pahinga.

pag US, Academic talaga ang pinapakuha. pero yung friend ko since Canada pupuntahan nya kasi mag mgrate na sila eh General Training kinuha nya.

Mga sis, RN din ako, kaka pasa ko lang last July 2010, graduate ako ng March 2010.

Puro volunteer works pa lang nakukuha ko, last time, dun sa pinaka huli kong ospital, ma-i -in na sana ako
kaso I got preggy, and I decided na hindi na lang tanggapin yung contract, maselan kasi ako magbuntis,
wala naman pagsisisi =)

Ang hirap maghanap ng work sa totoo lang. LOL. Goodluck sa ating lahat. May balak din ako mag-abroad
sana US kasi andun family ko... pero kahit saan huwag lang middle east, kasi hindi ako papayagan ng
husband ko.

^natakot ako dun sa news sa saudi about sa 9 months pregnant (pinay) na ni-rape ng 3 arabo sa saudi, walang patawad kahit buntis nira-rape.

may apply din ako sa middle east pero hindi pa ako pinapalad kasi siguro im lacking hospital experience. kaya sabi ni fadir eh mag local muna ako para may ginagawa ako sa buhay.

grabe nga news na yun sis. Kaya ako din ayoko s middle east mgapply for abroad. Nakakatakot mga arabo. Pero dami ko na barkada s saudi. Ako dito nalang kesa dun. Di din naman malaki pay dun eh.

Uu nga, grabe talaga yun.. Yung sister ko pasado na sa employer, nagpamedical na rin sya pero tutol ako hehe kasi natatakot ako para sa kanya. Wala din yung Hospital experience, then sa call center yun for 6 mos. Ngayon, company nurse sya. Gusto ko sana sya papuntahin dito SG, kahit ano na lang basta makapag-work dito at malapit sa akin. Bunso kasi namin yun eh kaya baby na baby hehe.. pero 28 na yun hehe

^pero gusto ko din punta dun sis kasi nakakaipon yung mga kakilala ko na nandoon, usually ang sweldo nila is 35k-60k, tax free daw. Kaya nakakaipon naman sila pang bili ng sarili nilang house. Isa pa lang ang kakilala ko na di pinalad kasi parang NPA daw sya, wala daw syang sariling kama, pag may uuwi daw sya na ka-work dun sa kama nun sya matutulog. Kawawa diba. Tapos sa er (pang male) sya naka-assign napaka-tamad daw nung mga arabong lalaki na kasama nya. Babae sya pero di naman daw sya hina-harass nung mga arabo na nurses yun nga lang inuutakan daw sya sa duty, after 2 years uwi na daw sya, ayaw na nya don at nabobo daw sya talaga don, diko alam kung bakit nya nasabi yun.LOL
