TAKING UP MASTER'S DEGREE

Pag Nursing grad ba, puwede rin magtake ng MBA? I'm a registered nurse and I used to work sa ICU ng isang prestigious hospital dito satin but hindi ko talaga calling ang nursing. Kahit na nageexcel ako dati sa work, hindi talaga ako masaya kaya after 2 years of working, nagresign ako. Now, I'm contemplating na mag-aral ulit pero iniisip ko kung postgraduate course ang kunin like MBA. Care to share your thoughts on this?

^hi sis i think possible to, siguro you'll be required lang to take some undergrad business courses on top of the MBA units kase may undergrad units na required per program eh. Especially sa nursing or any allied medical course, wala naman masyado business/management courses yung undergrad program.

@moohlan in my exp.  It was great even the profs. They're  good when it comes to teaching not boring at all. When you're lost about  sa topic they will explain it more.. They will make you how to think not to what to think. Just PM me about it. Out topic na kasi.
As far as i know if you're working.. on weekends ata ang pasok. Pero if not pwede mo kuhanin weekdays (im not so sure) pero instead na 2 years lahat, you can finish it siguro 1/half year ang MBA.
Sis i cant really tell. It is up to you if you really want pursue to take MBA. go go lang! take the risk.

but i do know one school in Manila na sobrang daling makuha ng masteral degree. kasi my mom did that. my mom was already in her 50s when her and her co-faculties took that degree, para lang maipasa yung new requirement nung university where they're working as professors. hindi nga sila masyadong pumapasok and halos barbs lang ang thesis (my mom herself said that, so alam kong totoo nga), pero pasado silang lahat. may masteral degree sila, so oks na sila sa requirement nung school where they are teaching. i'm just saying that there are schools like that na parang kahit sino lang pwedeng makakuha ng "masteral degree" para lang masabi na may masteral sila. kahit mom ko very honest about it, kasi she's in her 50s and she has College-graduate children already, so wala na siyang masyadong care "to learn and earn the masteral degree", she just did it to pass her university's new requirements. hindi ko na papangalangan kung saan siya nag-masteral, ayoko maka-offend, but it's an actual school ha, as in certified, kasi the university honored their degree kaya they passed the university's new requirements.

I got my Master's degree from UP Open University. Very convenient for me since it's online and distance learning. No need to go to school unless for enrolment and finals

How does this work?  I'm interested but I'm really busy with work too.

Hi I am planning to take my master's in Ateneo de Davao. Master off Science in Psychology. But the thing is I really wanna pursue a career in forensic psychology. I have read that La Salle offers this Forensic studies but I'm not sure, I think you need to be master's degree graduate before pursuing Forensic? Correct me, if I am wrong mga sis.thanks!

How does this work?  I'm interested but I'm really busy with work too.

We were given modules to study for the whole sem. It's self-study basically but we have Moodle aka online forum where the professor posts questions, assignments etc. All assignments are passed via email. I only went to school for enrolment and finals check out upou.edu.ph.

Plan ko din mag-enrol next year. Di lang ako sure kung Master's Degree ba or Law ang kukunin ko.

^ Master in IT or MBA.  I took MTM in UP.  Check mo rin.  Siguro before taking a masters degree ask yourself first what you want to achieve with it.  if it's something technical in nature i suggest master in IT or Master in Com Sci.  If it is the business side of it, take MBA or MTM

^mas gusto ko technical para mas magamit ko sa work ko. thank you sis ang worry ko lang is kung paano ko isisingit sa schedule ko ang school, pero gusto ko talaga sana. midshift kasi ang work ko kaya parang mahihirapan ako.

there are saturday classes naman i think so i suggest enroll on saturday classes lang. it may take longer than 2 years but it will give you a good balance with work and study

yup any grad course. but you are right. you need to take the entrance exam first to be eligible for the program.
