Authentic VS Replica Bags

I would never buy anything replica especially bags.  Doesn't matter what others see, what matters is that I know that I purchased an authentic product.  Given the choice between a replica and an authentic pre owned bag I would choose the latter.  This also applies to jewelry especially watches.
If on a budget I would rather stay within what my budget allows rather buy a replica of something that I cannot really afford.

Never, kasi naiisip ko pa lang na fake yung gamit ko natatawa na ako. So I prefer the real ones, if I can't afford eh dun tayo sa mas lesser value na orig at comfortable pa rin gamitin.

  I bought a mirror replica dati. It looks the same as the original bag but nasira agad. Boo!

So now, I buy orig na lang. Since I don't want to pay yet for full price, I go to the preloved route sa LV. I think it's okay as long as marunong ka kumilatis to tell the difference and ebay has feedback options. Kapag mataas and madami positive feedback ng seller lang ako bibili.

MK and Kate Spade naman, I buy brand new. Wala nga lang siyang resale value so we better really evaluate kung gusto talaga natin yung bag. We can use it for a long, long time.

I advise you not to purchase fake bags since masisira agad. It's just a waste of money! I'm also a student and of course, I would love to have LV or Balenciaga bags but I personally think that those are not what I need as of now. You can settle for other bags that you could afford, or perhaps save up then invest on a good bag you can also use after you graduate.

plus, I don't think you'll be able to use that bag in school anyway. no matter which school you're attending, it's still dangerous! hahahah

Naligaw ako dito sa thread because a couple of colleagues and I recently went to Greenhills with our American boss. He specifically requested that we accompany him there since his wife asked him to buy a quality knockoff purse. Two years ago when he first visited Manila with our other American bosses, they went to Greenhills as well and bought a lot of stuff. And from what he told us, the reactions to the "Hermes" bag he bought previously, no one thought it was a knockoff. He and his wife even entered an Hermes store in Denver and when he found out the original price, he was so shocked (This reaction considering he is a 6-digit US$ earner.), and yes not even the SAs realize the bag they were carrying was fake. I guess that's why he bought 2 more bags when he went back here. Di ko sure kung dahil ba sa puti sila kaya hindi halata ang fake sa kanila or dahil mas confident lang sila magdala. I'm not defending replica bags, for what it's worth, I don't care for high end designer labels. I stick to Kate Spade and D&B for the quality of the bags. I used to not care and just buy Parisian bags pero they break after 3 months or so. But what I learned from this story is not everyone who buys replica are trying hard people who can't afford. I guess they just prefer to spend more on travel than purses

@Shygirlme, yes there are the so calledTriple A class bags that  has real certificates/ warranty card as they are also from the manufacturer who made the original ones. They are sold as knock offs because they didn't pass the quality control.

And meron din naman talagang fakes na gumagamit din ng fake certificates.


For me, I'd rather buy authentic bags high and/or middle  end  than buy knock off ones.

Yeah, I've heard of and personally know some well-off women mixing their fakes with their authentic ones. No one really called them out about it because no one assumed they'd buy fakes. Oo nga naman, LOL. Preconception on our part, projection on theirs.

are the bags at cashcashpinoy real? i saw prada and gucci bags there, heavily discounted. 50k+ pa rin pero much lower than retail. this was a month or two ago. wala na ngayon, tapos na yung deal. i wonder if those are the genuine articles.

No To Fakes/Replicas! Na try ko na kasi magkaro'n ng mga ganon a few times lang naman for formal occassion lang. Bihira akong bumili ng mga handbags/shoulder bags (unless gustong gusto ko 'yung style) Nagkaro'n ako ng Lacoste Tote bags na authentic, LV and so on nung nakaipon na ako and I promised na hinding hindi ako bibili ng replica. As of now, branded backpacks/sling bags ang meron ako for my everyday use. 'Yung sling ko is an MFG, okay naman sya for me kasi mura lang din sya. Try mo din mga suggestions ng iba like MNG, Longchamp, Aldo etc. Basta kahit tight budget ka, 'wag mong isasacrifice 'yung hard earned money mo for FAKES. Kasi pati feelings mo mape-fake.

I personally would rather buy an unbranded bag over a replica bag. Fake anything screams tacky and social climber ang dating.

I used to have a friend who passes off her fake bags as authentic we were going out with some of her friends one time, and someone commented "hey you have the same Chanel as ----". I just said "Mine's a real Chanel lambskin flap."

This former friend just looked at the wall, floor, everywhere but me kasi I was staring at her, seeing if she will correct her friend. Nope. Pathetic.
