Light blue GST - didn't see one in NYC last week. The best selection still at Chanel on 5th Ave.

^sis, maraming Chanel resellers here you just have to be careful na authentic yung binibenta nila. Cheapest pa rin to buy in Europe at their boutiques. Sure ka pa sa authenticity. Next best thing is to buy in Hong Kong.

Yun yung mahirap with buying here - you never really know kung authentic. I heard it was hard na to tell kung fake or not, eh. Would any of you have heard of "the bag lady" in 650 Building Libis (is it Serendra) or the multiply site called la boutique des sacs? Authentic ba what they sell? Sorry if I'm not suppose to be mentioning any of the above. Just rather apprehensive about buying things, especially bags like this, online here.

Hay...wish ko lang I was going to Europe any time soon. HK...hmmmm...

Or is it possible to talk to an SA in one of the malls in NY and order na lang from them and have it shipped either to a NY address to ship to me or have it shipped all the way here to the Philippines?

Wow...sa hirap in getting a Chanel, all the more I want!

@MommyD - sis, mas madali naman bumili ng Chanel compared to say a Birkin

I bought my Chanel in HKG since matagal pa trip ko sa Europe. Readily available naman the flap that I wanted.

If you have relatives in the US, they can buy for you there. Or they can get in touch with any of the reputable stores selling Chanels. Never have the purse shipped to you here. Patay ka sa customs at tatagain ka ng husto sa taxes. Para ka na rin bumili dito ng purse. If anyone will be coming home to visit from the US then ipadala mo na lang sa kanila.

mama squeak...hay, can't even begin to imagine getting a Birkin just yet. Haha! I was thinking nga of ordering a bag from Hirshliefers and I have spoken to one of the SAs there, but I think I'll just have it shipped to Johnny Air to ship to me. Would I still get taxed and all?

^I'm not so familiar with the set-up of Johnny Air. I always have all my purchases shipped to my sister in the US kasi. Kung may uuwi pinapadala ko otherwise pa-balikbayan box ko. So far with the BBbox di pa naman ako nata-tax (hinahaluan kasi ng sister ko with other stuff). Yun nga lang antagal ng antay ko.
