super agree! ang tagal mabawi ng mga doctor ang expenses nila sa education kasi kahit residente na ang baba pa ng sweldo. hindi nga sweldo but called allowance para hindi ma-tax. one of the biggest hospital names nasa 15K lang ang allowance ng residents.

buti na lang hindi na ako nagdoctor.

ganun po kasi ang work ko but my salary is just 17.7k (except allowance) and i've been on this industry for 2 years and 1 month na., nabababaan po kasi ako sa sweldo ko eh.

Yes this is too low. I am an SQa Engineer for 6 yrs. na, but when I started year 2007, ganyan na salary ko. Underpaid ka. Find a nee job. Kung nagiging comfort zone mo na yang office mo, it's time to leave.

A teller salary is 16 to 18k ata. Depends sa tagal ng stay s bank.

Yes! I experienced re alignment of salary. I do not know how did they compute for it, basta pumirma na lang ulit ako non ng new contract which higher naman talaga sa previous salary ko. This happened nung nagkaron kami bagong manager sa department namin. Inayos nya talaga salaries namin.

Turned out, senior ako sa team pero yung bagong hires na pumasok sa team mas mataas pa salary sakin to think na ang tagal ko na sa company. Happy naman when it happened.

^Naku ilang beses nang nangyari sa akin yan. Previous & current company. Though ako yata eh aligned naman sa dapat kaso nakakaawa siyempre yung mga mas senior. @_@

Yup! Kaya nagkakaron ng disputes that is why important talaga to keep your salary secret.

^but the reason really for realignments is inflation eh.
example, kung noon ang starting salary is 10k (2007)
tapos me increase ka 1k per year, so say 15k ka na (2012),
tapos [textspeak!] mga new hires starting salary is 15k, so lugi talaga those with experience.
Most of the time the rate your salary increases doesn't catch-up with inflation rate.

I wonder how we can always keep ourselves updated with
salary standards (minimum wage, noon 200/day now it's 400++/day) and
industry's salary standards (like how much the banking industry vs. bpo industry pay their IT professionals) and also salary standards based on profession and experience (IT fresh grad salary vs. IT 5yr exp vs. IT 10yr exp, depending also on the field/expertise like SA, DBA, PM, Php, Java, C#, etc)

New hires ngayon na [textspeak!], 20K na agad ang basic. Nung first job ko, I was getting 9k lang, walang tax. So mga 4k+ lang nakukuha ko.

I used to work in SG and took home roughly 200k a month, walang naipon, naubos sa airfare pauwi ng pinas and gastos with the family; sama mo na expenses.
nakaka-homesick, hindi masaya, nakakastress

I decided to go home.. my pay took a rough cut, around more than a half, pero mas madami pa ako naiipon, and mas masaya pa ko..

^Sis malaki na yung 200K a month ha! pero mas nakasave ka nung nasa Pinas ka? anong line of work mo Sis? Hindi covered ang airfare ng company mo before?

Gusto ko na rin umuwi pinas, but with the salary range of PA/Office Manager/ Admin Managers sa Pinas parang ang baba.  almost 1/4 lang ata ng salary ko dito sa abroad.  Not to mention the benefits! hayzt!!

Oo nga ang laki ng 200k ha. Well nasa sa iyo naman talaga paano mo sisinupin pera mo. Kasi kahit anong laki kung susunurin mo luho ng mga tao sa paligid mo o kahit para sa sarili mo wala talagang matitira. Gusto ko rin mag-sg after a year and I am eyeing a 300k salary.
