my husband and I are getting our first ever kitten (a scottish fold) this november!

they aren't born yet and the breeder said we'll get them during last week of November.. desexed na, microchipped, kitty litter trained and all vaccines up to date but since this is the first time we've actually had a kitten, papatingin namin sya agad sa vet kasi wala kaming ka idea idea what to feed him and ayaw ko naman may mangyari sa kitty


yun pag nagttrain ba ng kitten to do tricks, anong klaseng treats dapat? is that the normal cat food they eat on a daily basis or a different one?

Buti pa cats nyo may tricks hehe si barney ko kase kain tulog ang alam eh. He'll sleep the entire day tapos pag gising nya gutom kagad and maga-ask ng food. After non, maglilinis sya, tatamabay ng konti tapos sleep na naman. Nagwo-worry na nga kame minsan na baka ma-highblood sya.

lagi sya nanonood sa youtube how to train cats! cute naman nila so lalong naeencourage na itrain yun future baby kitten namin!

also, practical na ba for a 3 month old kitten to utilize an automatic kitty litter? or normal kitty litter is ok pa? ayaw ni hubby magscoop scoop eh

Dun ako dati bumibili since nasa makati na naman, from office punta na dun. Pero ngayon, nadiscover ko na nagssupply pala yung malapit samin na small pet store. Ask mo rin sis yung mga malalapit sa inyo na pet food & supplies store, baka meron naman sila nun.

May vitamins ba na pampagana? Ang selan kasi nung little tiger namin dito sa bahay. Namimili. Gusto ko sana siya patabain pa ng konti.

^ I think multivitamins would do. Like Nutripet or Nutriplus.

Baka there's something wrong with your little tiger sis? Or maybe it's the food the you give her? My baby boy likes Royal Canin over Whiskas. He wouldn't even dare touch Whiskas even if we mix it together with the Royal Canin. He has grown a lot bigger and faster with RC.

Although like what sis liquidglaze said, multivitamins should help. Give her pet's milk, too. It's a great addition to his meals. My baby boy likes it

^ That's true with RC. Ever since my cat started with RC, he never touches other brands of cat food anymore. Only problem is, RC is pretty limited in availability so I really need to order and stock up.

The breeder also suggested for us to feed our future kitten (lol) royal canin or science diet kasi that's what she feeds her cats din daw.

I was reading up tapos may mga nabasa ako na dapat daw walang corn sa ingredients.. pero sabi naman ng iba, ok lang daw..

Sis, dito sa min P90 per kilo lang ang Princess. Yan din ang favorite ng mga pusa ko. Mas mura pa sya kesa sa Whiskas at Friskies. Dati naisip ko pag haluin sila nung may natira pang whiskas pero ang nangyayari, pinipili talaga nila yung princess lang tapos naiiwan yung mga bits ng whiskas.

may nabili yung kasambahay namin, hindi nya sigurado kung Princess, ang shape parang star na para din flower, P90 din per kilo, sa mga feeds nabili ...

Nung pinakain ko okay naman, nagustuhan hindi rin pinansin yung Whiskas...

Yun nga yon sis. Ganon ang princess. Sa mga nagbebenta din ng feeds namin nabili. Never pa ko nakakita non sa supermarket.  Pati yung friend ko sa cartimar sya bumibili ng princess, P90 per kilo din. Mas gusto talaga sya ng mga pusa ko.

I just adopted a pet cat yesterday. She's 6 months old, a bit thin and really quiet. She likes to sleep on my bed which is fine naman. Im not sure what lahi, I got her an appointment sa vet on Wed. I named her Ingrid. She's very black and sleek. My officemate found her on their porch and never left their house na. They can't take care of her kasi they have a baby and allergic ang husband nya. Since I love cats and Ive been taking care of cats since I was young, I volunteered na. Right now, we're sharing beds for the mean time. I have to search town pa for a nice bed for her. I got her a litter box, cat food and toys to play with.

Im lucky to have her! Every time I wake up in the morning, she's the first thing that pops into my mind. I hate having to leave her in my apartment, by herself and no one to play with. I've been buying more stuff for her than myself hehe

i want to adopt a cat too! but i'm worried she will scratch the furniture and i'm renting a furnished apartment. so all the things inside are not mine --- plus it's a leather couch pa! is there a way to prevent that? it's the only thing that's keeping me from getting a beloved pet cat

^Unfortunately none. That's why we had to get rid of our leather couch and replace it with a couch covered in thick "katsa". Since we have 9 cats we had to cat-proof our house. Meaning we had to buy furniture that we didn't mind being scratched.
