midnight cravings :( help!!

everytime gusto kong matulog ng maaga I caaaaant parang my food nature kept on calling me.. :'(

di talaga ako nakakatulog everytime di ako nakakain uli.. ayao ku ng ganito lalo talaga akong tataba nitong ginagawa ku!
tips po please para ma overcome ko tong midnight cravings ko? :(

kung talagang nahihirapan ka, munch on healthy foods na lang - fruits? singkamas? etc.

Cravings usually last ten minutes so try to wait it out. If you can't help but eat talaga, drink lots of water na lang or eat a banana or brush your teeth. That's what I do! :D

Goddess, are you taking vitamin supplements at night? Some vitamins and herbal supplements like green tea make you hungry like Vit B complex (B12 in particular). Take them in the morning na lang. Ako if I take blood sugar lowering stuffs like ampalaya or green tea, sobrang gutom ko pati yung candies ng mga bata sa ref kinakain ko na. Lalo na pag me commercial sa tv about food.

ganyan din ako sis.. kapag may mga naka stock ako na chichirya and finger foods. kaya ginawa ko, pinipigilan ko talaga self ko na magstock ng foods na sa tingin ko tatawag sa akin sa gabi.

I'm on the same boat. Right now, I'm craving for something sweet.. or pasta maybe..

My solution? Force myself to sleep.  :-X

Parang ganito din ang sitwasyon ko. Kahit na 9pm na ako naghapunan, kapag hindi ako natulog nang maaga, magugutom at magugutom ako pagdating ng hatinggabi. Mas lalo pa akong gutom pag stressed at nate-tension.

Lagi akong may stock na crackers at biskwit at yun ang kinakain ko o di kaya hot chocolate o gatas.

Lols. nakarelate ako dito.  i have to have my midnight snack before i go to bed.  or hindi ako mapakali  thinking of that peanut butter cookies or cereal sa pantry o yung pansit sa fridge. :)

Pasali!

Nakakarelate din ako sis, what I craved for was nuts and junk foods like taquitos and lays. And ang bilis ko tumaba! I was alarmed just recently because I gained 4 kilos.

Well, ang ginawa ko is nag shopping ako ng puro fruits and then instead nguya ko ng nguya ng junk foods, fresh fruits na lang which are also satisfying kase manamis namis. I read also na apple is really good for the body specially in losing weight, I bought a kilo already :)

I can totally relate! I usually crave for ice cream or chocolate - tindi! Ang taba ko na! :(

Ganyan din ako sis pero I try to make better choices na. Like kunyari pag nagugutom ako ng late, instead of reaching a bag of chips, fruits na lang or wheat bread sandwich. fulfilling pero hindi masyado nakakataba unlike eating chocolates or rice.

Naku dati nga midnight snack ko rice. Heavy db?

Let us all try to make better choices na lang.

clumsish: heavy talaga! ngayon nga nagwheat bread with tuna or chicken spread na lang ako kapag gabi. substitute sa rice. Masikip na kasi mga damit ko skin eh.

I take tea (non-caffeinated) before bedtime. Also pag naisip ko lang na I will have to pay by adding extra minutes sa work out ko the next day for whatever I ate night before, dun pa lang nawawala na gana ko.   :P

ito rin ang problem ko nuon. based from experience, white rice ang nakaka cause ng sugar cravings. kaya konti na lang ako mag rice esp sa dinner. pag nagutom ako around 10 or 11pm, il eat fruits -oranges and apples. 

ang mga simple carbohydrates like white rice, bleached wheat flour (white bread), pasta usually have high glycemic index. mabilis silang madigest, kaya mabilis ka rin magccrave ng sweets later on.  try complex carbs like whole grain, oats instead of rice.
eto na naman sila, "mas better" , "pinaka the best"

I had this before, lagi kasi akong nagpupuyat. I started eating every 2 hours para maging stable blood sugar ko tapos I started to wake up earlier. As in force myself awake talaga. I end up sleeping much earlier too kaya nawala na yung case of the munchies ko.
