So agree! Nakakaiinis yung mga tao pakialamera. I'd rather be single kesa pumatol ng kung sino sino lang. Hindi pa naman ako desperada at mas okay sa akin na single and wait for someone better than my ex kesa maghanap ng someone who is worse than my ex.

nakaka insulto especially if it comes from people who are close to me. alam naman nila ang kwento why my past relationships didn't work out, at alam din nila na hindi naman dugyutin ang ex bfs ko so why would they expect me to downgrade now?! ang dating kasi ng advice nila is kahit sinong lalaki na lang, puede na basta makapag asawa lang!  how pathetic.

Hi mga sis. Haha. I'm glad I found this thread.

I have some friends who always give me insulting remarks regarding this issue. Naiinis na natatawa na lang ako. Sasabihan kang, 'maganda ka, matalino, pero wala kang boyfriend' with matching tawa tapos gagatungan pa na 'okay naman kasi si ganito at si ganyan, ayaw mo pa, i-feel mo lang kasi, take risks din minsan' ending it with this 'ang hirap kasi sayo sobrang taas ng standards mo, babaan mo kasi' AND BOOOOOOOOOM. Pero syempre deep inside lang yung galit ko. Ang nakakatawa pa, eh kung makapagsalita, akala mo nasa happy relationship. I don't dare tell them what I really think kasi I don't wanna end up insulting them back in a much painful way. Yun kasi ang hirap sa kanila, sobrang baba ng standard nila (idk if tama pa nga bang sabihin na standard, parang di naman) at go lang ng go na peg, that's why they end up with lousy jerks in town. At kung ganun lang, I'd rather enjoy myself being single. Why should I settle for less when I can have the best?

I'd gladly eat my words kung na-prove or I can at least see that they are happy with their relationships pero to no avail. I'm aware na walang perfect na tao na super magcocomplete ng list ko, and when the time happens na I realize that because I found someone worthy enough to give my love to despite his lacks in my list, then he must be The One for me. Until then, I'll stick to my standards!

i have this one friend who says na he constantly worries about me kasi i'm still single and he's afraid that i would end up in a retirement home because i would grow old and alone with no one to take care of me.
helloooo, anong akala niya sa akin, hopeless na talaga?
naiinis ako na ewan.
i know he's saying those things because he loves me pero sobra naman!

hindi na ako single pero natawa ako dito kasi halos lahat ata ng asa listahan e nasabi sa kin nung single pa ako. pero mas madalas yang "babaan ang standards" na yan.

may isang beses, sa sobrang inis ko sa isang SINGLE din na pakialamerang paulit-ulit akong hinihiritan ng ganun, eto nasabi ko:

"bakit ko bababaan ang standards ko? ikaw ba ang makikisama dun sa pipiliin ko? you have your (pause for effect) standards, i have mine. i do not thank you for your unsolicited advice."

sabay super "sweet" smile.

at hanggang ngayon, dinig ko, single pa rin sya habang ako ay super happy in an almost 4-year relationship.

I was jus told by an acquaintance " may bf ka?" Wala " asawa?" Wala " anak?" wala. " ang LUNGKOT NAMAN NG BUHAY MO" my answer: AT BAKIT MO NAMAN KASI PINOPROBLEMA? I have a lot of activities right now and I also have an upcoming activity after my boxing.. I am so busy, I dont have anymore time to think about me being single and no time being sad.

my relative just messaged me on FB, she said " mag asawa ka na" i told her , when the right time comes but for now I really enjoy traveling and who knows, i might bump into him along the way
