i used to suffer when i was in college. i had in my armpits too nakakahiya kasi during PE muntik na ko ibagsak ng prof ko sa tennis kasi i'm always absent and too shy sabihin why haha.. i had an operation pa once kasi nasa lobo lang kaya hiniwa ng doctor so may tahi ako sa left underarm ko very awkward kasi my right underarm looks fine makinis and all tapos sa left may marks ng tahi but now hindi na masyado halata. i did LHR din years ago and so far never na ako nagka boil. minsan sa hygiene din. effective yata talaga when you take antibiotic para hindi na matuloy pero siyempre you need to seek medical advise

I had pigsa in my underarm when I was in high school. I keep plucking my hair kasi. As in sobrang laki sis to the point na I cannot put my arms down. So my mom placed a black stuff para daw mahinog. I think it was "etiol" (parang grasa). Then nahinog siyam may eyes lumabas so pinadrain. Masakit sa first pero after lumabas na pus, mas gusto mo pang pigain para mawala lahat.

Moral of the story. Dont pluck. hahaha

Hi I'm Cristina a mother of 10months baby boy....yung baby boy ko nag karoon siya ng pigsa sa likod ng ulo nya nung 4months old siya gumaling naman po...pero bago siya mag 7 months bumalik po yung pigsa nya same area pa rin po at the back of his head at my kulane na rin po... Ano po ang pwede kong gawin pabalik balik po yung pigsa ng baby ko.... Hindi naman po siya nilalagnat at Hindi naman po siya nag iiiyak.... Masigla naman po siya....please help my son.... Thank you

Yes, I suggest you take him to the pedia sis kasi baby na yan. Ang babies ko kahit nurse ako, kahit konting sakit, diretso ko agad sa ER. Nawawala pagka- nurse ko when it comes to my babies.

^hi sis, yun nephew ko ganun din nagkapigsa siya nun mga 4-5mos siya , kawawa talaga as in. yun nga lang matanda nasasaktan sa pigsa, what more yun baby pa. Nun dinala siya sa pedia nun sister ko, binigyan ng gamot (oral), co-amoxiclav, meron pala pambata yun. Actually effective talaga yun sa pigsa. Sabi nga nun pedia, kapag hindi pa pumutok yun at nahinog ng ilang days, ooperahan na daw. After one day nahinog na yun pigsa niya at talagang drain namin para hindi na bumalik. Kahit maiyak iyak na yun bata kasi need talaga drain yun. Then nawala na yun pigsa niya.
Better pacheck mo muna sa pedia para maresetahan..

^sis try mo IPL, para malessen yun hair growth sa underarm mo. Yun IPL mura lang compare sa laser na sinasabi nila. Natry ko na IPL, actually nakabili ako nun sa metrodeal before (250/session) and I can say na effective siya. Kung wala na yun deal, puwede ka dumiretso sa kanila and puwede nila bigay sayo yun ng 250 pero dapat at least 6 sessions.

sis, ask ko lang nung una ba siyang nagkaroon ng pigsa pinacheck up mo ba siya? dapat nga hindi talaga binabalewala yan especially na baby pa yan. sana by this time napa check-up mo na si baby kawawa naman siya.

May nakapagtry ba gumamit ng mga to? Natural remedy daw sa boils:

Turmeric -- Turmeric taken internally can help dissolve and heal boils in as little as three days. It has anti-inflammatory and blood purifying effects on the body. Just take one teaspoon of turmeric powder in warm water three times a day or buy turmeric in capsule form and take at least 450 mg each day. You can also make a paste out of the turmeric powder and place it directly on the boil and cover it with gauze. Be careful as turmeric can stain your skin and your clothes. The stain on your skin will go away in about two weeks.

Tea Tree Oil -- Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic that is able to help in the healing of all kinds of skin problems. All you have to do is apply one drop of tea tree oil directly on the boil each morning after bathing until it's gone.

Castor Oil -- Put some Castor oil on a cotton ball and place it on the boil. You will need to secure it with gauze or a band-aid. Castor oil will draw the poison right out of the boil and can heal it in as little as two days.

^^ Me, nako, I've tried everything. I posted my history with pigsa here before but dinelete and na-warning-an ako kasi advertisement. Well.

Anyway, I've been suffering from recurring boils since 2007 pa ata. Really big ones ha and everywhere -- legs, armpits, nose, ears pati eyelids! I went to the usual doctors at first of course and they always prescribe antibiotics. I'd religiously take it, it would work but then the boils would come back again. So that means the antibiotics were ineffective.

I started experimenting on my own, trying everything as in everything. What worked at first was turmeric -- I would drink it and apply it topically. But I needed something stronger so I found curcumin which is the very root of turmeric.

I realized that instead of just curing boils, I should strengthen my immune system so I wouldn't be afraid of getting a boil from every small nick and cut. I went to a dermatologist and she prescribed lactoferrin. It was what finally worked for me -- I wouldn't get a boil for months on end and even if I did, it would last only a few days and heal faster. As I recall, I also never caught a cold on lactoferrin and because it's used as acne treatment, I also had clearer skin.

Problema, lactoferrin is expensive here, as much as P45 per capsule. So I researched for a cheaper source online and when I found one, I hoarded lactoferrin and now I have a nice little stock.

Ngayon naman, I'm pregnant and can't ingest lactoferrin. So I have to let go of my precious bottles. If you're interested in trying a bottle -- and I do hope it works for you as it did for me -- please PM me.

Sana naman hindi na i-delete 'to noh! Hirap mag-type and also, I sincerely want to help find a cure for pigsa/boils because I KNOW how it is to suffer from them.

Mga sis, I think I finally found "my cure", ginagamit ko ang Sastid soap for two months now, pagkasabon ko sa kili kili ko, ibabad ko ng 30 seconds, then wash and scrub gently.

Hindi na ako pinigsa mga sis, oh my gawd, I am so happy, sana lang magtuloy tuloy... grabe, kung alam ko lang sastid lang ang makakagamot sa akin, hahaha. Nabibili siya sa mercury, mura lang, matagal pang matunaw, but let me tell you, this is "my cure", I don't know with yours mga sis, but it's not harmful naman to try.

I have one right now, sa may ilalim ng hita.. 1st time ko, ang sakit pala talaga! 3rd day pa lang pero gusto ko na din pa check up para maagapan.. lagyan ko din hot compress.. ganon ba talaga yun mga sis parang black tapos pantal sa paligid? Hi sis, ako twice nagkaroon. First sa pinaka ayaw ko na tumubo sya. Alam mo yung sa front ng femfem natin huhuhu super sakit nya kaya i went to an OB to check pero buti before ako pumunta pumutok na sya. I always clean it with water and soap then nung di pa sya pumuputok alcohol after pero nung pumutok na nag betadine na ako.

Then more than 2 mos lang ngkaroon naman ako sa hita ko right side. Yun amg sinasabi nila pigsang dapa kasi super lapad ng pagkamaga nya. Parang balat ng litson amg hita ko kasi pink na pink at mainit. Super sakit nun talagang umiika ako pag naglalakad.

Antibiotic at super linis with water and soap plus betadine lang din ginampt ko. Buti naman more than 3yrs na di bumabalik....ayoko na kaso sobra parusa sa sakit...

@devilish_einjel: Our bodies have different reactions to boils. My skin toughens and gets really red. Yours apparently darkens and bruises. All normal.

All of the boils I've gotten have left a mark, depending on where they grew. On the legs and arms -- always, can't do anything about them except to fade and lighten them. Nothing on the face, thankfully. And surprisingly, nothing on my thighs. Hindi ako peklat-in sa thighs. I hope you're the same way.

@kenjiekenj: Have you tried scar removing treatments? Sebo de macho, Katialis, Contractubex are popular. Yung contractubex, it helped flatten a scar of mine that looked like it was forming to be a keloid.

@SnowBall: Dati rin, I would try all sorts of bacteria-killing soaps and washes. I even disinfected my clothes, towels, bedsheets and etc. with antibacterial laundry soap! But the derma told me this is bad as they also kill the good bacteria our bodies need. I'm weakening my body's immune system further daw. So she gave me the lactoferrin to strengthen my body from the inside. Kasi nga naman, I don't live in a bubble, I can't disinfect everything, I'll be exposed to all manners of bacteria as soon as I step outside of the house.

Please keep sharing what your cure for pigsa or boils are! Ayoko na din talaga magka-ganito. One of the worst skin maladies ever!

paano ba malalaman kung hinog na? pang anim na araw ko na to, and then napansin ko kanina parang medyo natuklap na yung ibabaw, tapos may malaking black (eto ba yung mata na tinatawag?) na siya, may kunting pus na din na lumalabas pero matigas pa din yung paligid.. nilinis ko lang ng soap and water, tapos nilagyan ko betadine amd tinapalan ko ng gauze.. I always apply warm compress din and im taking antibiotics..

Sis devilish- ganun ang term ng matatanda yata pag malawak ang sakop ng pigsa. Nabura ko na pics ko nun sayang naipost ko sana dito for you to see sis. 3inches yata ang sakop width at length kaya super sakit hirap maglakad. Basta super pinkish sya na mainit. Pero di nangitim yung sakin. Pagkaputok nya unti unti lang sis nawawala yung pagkapink... Then naging maliit na sugat... Keloid kasi ako lagi sa sugat. Matagal din nawala almost a year.... Pero now pantay na kulay sa skin ko...

^ sa akin naman maliit na bukol lang naagapan ko din siguro ng warm compress e, tapos yung paligid na niya parang pantal pero matigas.. pinabayaan mo lang din yung sayo sis? nasa likod kasi ng hita ko so hindi ko din masyado makita at parang hindi ko naman din kaya idrain on my own.. pareho tayo sis nag kkeloi din ako sa pag nagkakasugat e, kaya super ingat ako sa katawan..

super sakit nga sis noh, I have no idea na ganito pala pakiramdam, 1st time ko e tapos kahapon hindi k na kaya kasi ang hapdi na sobra, hindi ko na halos maitapak paa ko, ayun nag mefenamic na ako, at ang laking relief naramdaman ko.. haay sana mawala na to
