I did this last year! I joined a two-week trip with Intrepid (Best of Morocco-  14 days). Flew from Bilbao, Spain to Casablanca. I was travelling solo and I had apprehensions doing the trip solo - even though I consider myself as a seasoned solo backpacker so I decided to join a tour group.

Our tour leader was really good and I guess I was pretty lucky I had a relatively good group. Sabi ng tour leader namin may mga groups that just don't fit together and then you are all stuck together for the rest of the trip. I guess ang asar ko lang is that I had a roommate who was a tad...talkative and crazy. She liked gossiping about the other participants while all I wanted to do was sleeeeeeeep.

I found the food surprisingly expensive - even the streetfood (though I was a tad apprehensive trying them out). Also, the meals are not varied. The best Moroccan meal I had was in a house of the  friend of our tour leader. He invited us to visit after the tour ended, and those of us who stayed for a few more days got to hang out with him some more.

Highlights:
-Sahara! Keri ang overnight in the desert without electricity. Nagulat nga ako our camp had piped water eh. Ang naasar kami is that there was this noisy drone while we were waiting for the sunrise.
- High Atlas Mountains - the views on our hike of the Todra Gorge was really really pretty
-Ait Bendhaddou - Game of Thrones site!

I think I also enjoyed the convenience of staying in a mix of hotels and homestays - kasi nagiging tita na rin ako for hostels.

If you plan on getting a leather jacket, the super tawad price is at EUR 250 - this is customized na to my size and preferred cut and color. If RTW, baka maka tawad pa.  Try to learn the bargain prices before buying. I regret not buying those pretty wooden boxes for souvenirs that sold for MAD 80, kasi akala ko  makakahanp pa ako ng mura.

Reflecting back, I think I would've managed getting around naman - even with the lack of English signage. Kasi madami naman ibang travellers. Yun lang, I think I would've been praning many times if I venture out on my own, even though I wasn't in any real danger.
