best health card in terms of service and payments

Anyone who knows what's the best health card to use for family specially kids?

those that i have tried and tested so far are maxicare, medicard and intellicare.
intellicare is offered to corporations only if im not mistaken. comparing the three, parang masmaraming okay na doctors ang affiliated with maxicare (based on my own experience) in terms of service, depende sa hospitals. like for cardinal santos, intellicare and medicard has their own offices there so masconvenient talaga compared to maxicare since the coordinator there is located in one of the doctor's clinic. e kadalasan super haba na ng pila dun and busy na rin ang secretary, so talagang kelangan patient ka mag-antay. in terms of payment naman, if you pay in full (annual), it's cheaper than paying monthly, quarterly or semi-annually. kung makaka-ride ka sa corporate account, yun ang for me, pinaka-okay since minsan significant rin ang price difference ng dalawa. though if you're going to avail for the whole family, masmura na rin sya compared to getting it individually. hope this helps!

philcare card namin ngayon, so far okay naman we also had intellicare before, sa okay din sya.

^^valuecare yung healthcard ng BF ko before. wala naman sya complaints nun and sa medical city sya nagpapacheck up lagi. may friend rin ako na broker, she recommends maxicare, medicard and valuecare pag may humihingi ng quote. yung ibang HMO unless ibring up ng client na yun gusto nila, chaka nya inooffer.

^depende sa age nila sis. how old na your parents? pa-quote ko sa friend ko na agent ng mga healthcards. though yung sa maxicare, alam ko meron sa website nila computation ng annual premium depending on the type of plan you would like to get. try mo rin tignan.

to give you an idea na rin, around 15k binabayaran ko annually for a 100k coverage for each of my parents. it used to be cheaper pero nung nag-renew, ang laki na ng tinaas. for myself naman, around 13k.

whats stopping me from getting a health card for my family is the number of things not covered by the health card company....every time i read the brochures offered to me...parang mas marami pa silang mga bagay na hindi covered eh....parang room use (including er at or) lang ang nakikita ko na included.

Ako din. Ang apprehension ko from getting one for my mom is the fact na Senior Citizen na siya. Dami na not included + mas mataas premium. Kaloka.

ms. rain, ako rin gusto ko kuhanan parents ko since hindi ko na sila magiging dependent dahil married na ako. my mom is 50 and dad is 54. how much kaya kung quarterly ko babayaran yung premium nila? thanks sis!

try nyo maxicare sis... i've tried intellicare, asianlife and maxicare already, all from company benefits... the best ang maxicare for below:

yung coverage nya, depende sa plan na kukunin mo.
if you are from the province, check first if accredited ng kukunin nyong healthcare provider ang mga hospitals sa inyo.

sa mga merong health card na, balak ko din kuhanan ang parents ko.. what if kumuna na ko ng insurance,until when ako magbabayad sa kanila? lifetime po ba ito?medyo ignorante pa ko sa ganito..

^healthcard or insurance kukunin mo for them? ang healthcard renewable every year.

@majal, maraming exclusions ang healthcard lalo na pag individual applications. pag corporate account, yun ang mas ok. lalo na sa pre-existing diseases. sa individual apps, exclusion na agad yun on the first year. while pag corporate, covered na agad. kung makaka-form ka ng group, minimum of 5, pwede ka na mag group or corporate account sa maxicare.

@freeswan, hindi ko pa nakakausap friend ko pero using the quick plan computation sa maxicare website, pag age 50, nasa 29k+ per annum for the 100k coverage. if you're going to avail of family plan naman (minimum of 3 members if im not mistaken), 23k+ naman per annum.

me and my gf have kaiser healthcard. Maganda siya kasi 5 years to pay at the same time mag gain siya ng 7-10% annually from 6th to 15th year. sa 15th year pwede mo siya mawithdraw yun nga lang hindi kana covered. Parang mutal fund + healthcard in one
