I saw a demo in SM dept store, they call in a STONE pan, selling for 1,000. Is it a good buy?

we have this at home, so far satisfied kami. non-stick talaga. ang di ko lang gusto eh since naka-turnilyo yung sa hawakan, lumuluwag minsan at kailangan pang higpitan. If I were to buy another one I would prefer yung naka-hinang na para mas matibay.

ngayon lang ako uli nagawi. sa thread na eto.

the green pan, well, i saw a 1,000 peso green pan and a 3,000 peso green pan when i stopped by manila mid last year. this was in SM Dept. Store. My green pan in australia closely resembled the 3,000 peso one. i paid more almost 100$ for it. but if mali ako and they're all 1,000. then mura na yan imho.

my green pan has been with me for since 2011. hindi pa siya loose sa handle.

as for non stick pots and pans, may lifetime talaga silang lahat. kaya lang ako nabilib sa greenpan or STONE in this case, is because maski water droplet eh nag be bead.

one way of prolonging these non stick cookware (in my own experience) is to never leave food in them for prolonged durations as most foods we cook these days are acidic. ako as soon as im done cooking. lipat sa bowl or lalagyan. i let it cool off then wash agad with a non scratch pad.

don't let your non stick cookware overheat

^^is it true na kelangan palamigin muna ang pan before washing them para di maremove agad yung nonstick nya?

maybe the rationale behind that is that the the sudden decrease in temperature can shock the coating - hardening it.

excessive hardening and softening can crack the coating in a lot of things. one good example is yung finish ng gitara. old guitars are very sensitive sa temperature changes. so what manufacturers did is the changed the formula of the finish and now new guitars have highly resilient finishes.

SO,

if new teflon or similar coatings are highly flexible, then it shouldn't matter. but how do we know right?

better safe na lang than sorry. let it cool

besides may effect din ata yan sa food oil ..they become stains din.
