Any inputs about the hospital? Childbirth experiences, doctors, room rates, delivery expenses?

I have yet to give birth in the "new" hospital as I gave birth at the old location.  My kids have been confined here several times and I've never had any problems.  Most of our doctors are from this hospital.

How was your delivery here?

I heard private ward package is P70k and normal is P50+.

Sis, it would be best to check out (tour) the hospital and their delivery area. the nurses there are very nice to all moms & dads to be to see their facilities.
They have a lamaze room and a birthing room. you may also check their private rooms for comparison na rin.

sa inquiry ng rates nila, sa information sa lobby meron sila ready - printed quotation, para at least updated. it would be helpful to bring your own notepad and pen to take down some notes, or if you have prepared questions for them. nice naman sila nung nag inquire ako for my 2 kids. but we decided other hospital to deliver our babies, kasi parang st lukes na rin ang rates nila. medyo mahal na if not package.

re package, nice din to discuss this matter with your obgyne. as some doctors yata hindi tumatanggap ng rate ng package ng tmc....

^thanks for the thumbs up, sis.  yes, i'll do that on my next check up.. tour my kids around the floor and check out the nursery :)

my OB didn't want me to take the package kasi private ward daw yon.  it's better for me to get a small private instead.

i've already told my friends and relatives not to visit me at the hospital so it doesn't matter if i get a small private room..  and i don't want them to see me at my finest ;)

^Sis, baligtad ata yung price mo ng Standard A and B. And yung Standard A ang may fridge.

I'm with a specialist doctor so I'm expecting my CS delivery to be around 200k.

I gave birth here on November 2004 when it was fairly new. The doctors, nurses and everyone here are very friendly. I'm not sure if the staff are still the same though, but they should for the price clients pay for this hospital is astronomical.

Rooms are very clean and are cleaned every morning. And yes, you can tour their facilities, i'm not sure if you can visit the pre-labor, labor & delivery rooms though, but you can ask your ob about that.

As for the price, I suggest that you add extra 15% - 25% on the amounts they present to you. The private ward package was full on the day I gave birth and they gave us a price of 30k but we ended up paying 55k. The extra 20k was for the meds & extra treatments our son received due to jaundice.

Have a safe delivery :)

Just in case, I'll get pregnant in the future again, dun pa rin kami sa TMC.

Gave birth here in 2008, CS. We got the bigger standard room with tv, fridge. We paid around P120k for CS + circumcision of my little boy.

Very nice nurses and doctors.

ang mura ng bill mo sis ha.. ako kasi, i gave birth last nov 2009 lang pero inabot ng 55k ang bill ko. pero sabi kasi, ibang thread daw ang ginamit ni OB sa kin (pang private daw, iba daw kasi yung thread na gamit pag package) so dagdag na lang daw ng konti tutal mas mabilis daw yung recovery pag yung mas mahal na thread ang gamit. true enough, after 2 weeks e healed na yung wound at kahit nawala na yung effect ng anesthesia a day after i gave birth, di ako nakaexperience ng pananakit sa tahi ko..not sure din kung may dagdag bayad din ba yung epidural (3cm pa lang kasi ako e humingi na agad ako).. pakienlighten naman ako kung napamahal ako for future reference.. sayang din yung 10k ha..  ;D

Hi Sis Evil Woman,
