^oo sis, as in pare pareho lang, maiba man looks common pa rin pero siguro depende na lang talaga sa creativity mo kahit pagsama samahin ang mga beads na ito.  Yup sis, madalas din ako sa carolinas kahit mahal, yung mga damit ko kasi pag napag titripan ko ginagawan ko ng bead design hehe maiba lang... ngayon in search ako in finding stores na kakaiba beads, abroad kaya? hehe

I'd like to make my own vintage jewelry kasi wala ako mahanap na maganda and affordable na vintage jewelry sa mga malls. Kakafrustrate lang. I was wondering if meron akong makitang supplies sa Quiapo to make vintage-looking accessories like these:

^meron namang mga ganito sa quiapo sis, tiyaga nga lang sa paghanap.  maraming store kasi dun for bead craft lovers tapos tabi tabi pa, for sure may mahahanap ka, pero kung di ka available punta ng quiapo try carolinas sa megamall 2nd level ata, tabi sya ng calvin klein and mossimo na store. Pero mas marami talaga sa quiapo...

@hopelessromantic, just to answer your question, i make my own designs.. since i dont make accessories as a business, and i simply rely on word of mouth to dispose of my creations, i always make sure there is something personal in my work... merong iba na made to order talaga, and i sometimes browse at magazines, still merong dapat original sa gawa ko... i like buying a lot of materials too...

Thanks everyone sa mga replies. Really appreciate it. I've found vintage chains sa beadsph.com na. But I can't find bead caps, creative bars, filigree, and rings... I found http://www.beadsetc.com.sg/ for vintage items that I mentioned. Kaya lang ang mahal sobra. Anyone who has bought items sa Beads, etc. from Singapore? Ang gaganda kasi, mga made in U.S. items nila.

mga sis, san ok bumili ng mga metal materials like eyepins, headpins, wires etc. yung kasing nabili ko sa DIY beads, natutuklap yung silver at brass coating pag ginagamit ko na ng pliers.

hi ladies. please help me with your suggestions naman.  i love this craft kaso bumibili lang ako sa friend ko ng finished product niya. but now, parang gusto ko na din matuto gumawa nito. nahihiya naman ako magtanong sa kanya kasi nga i used to be her suki.

-- I know I can learn doing this by researching and by watching tutorials online.
-- I have listed the place na where to buy as I backread.

so now, i wanna know the important things to buy/have. can someone help me? i'm from batangas pa kasi. so if i will just go there without any list, for sure madami akong hindi mabibili. 

and if you think there are things pa na i should know, pls inform me.  TIA ladies. very much appreciated.

^when i started with this hobby, i first made sure i had complete set of tools... then, get a pack of every size and color of headpins, eyepins, etc, including locks, caps and connectors... as for the wires, buy a spool of regular ones, and at least one spool of the high end one... ganun din sa nylon thread... then choose your materials na from acrylic to pearls etc... just choose those you think you can work with... once you get the hang of it, you'll eventually know what you need and want to buy next time you go to quiapo...

^^sis, try buying the high end ones, esp those made from korea or japan... ok yun... hindi natutuklap yung coating... guaranteed non-tarnish pa...

^ thanks sis. i went ulit sa wellmanson last week. ang mahal pala nung high end. lumalabas na more or less P1 yung isang headpin/eyepin. i used lots of them kasi. baka sa headpin/eyepin pa lang, P100 na yung maging cost ng materials ko for 1 beaded accessory.

^yeah, ganun talaga... less than 1 peso din naman kasi yung 1inch na eyepin na tag-100pcs, arnd P70-80... i usually just use this for special items kasi talo talaga pag nagbenta ka using this...

helow.. nagbabalik ako.. antagal ko na d navisit ito ah... hilig ko din gumawa ng beaded accessories. Sa tagal ko plano ngayon pa lang ako nakagawa ng page sa facebook Chanty Beads. May mga napost na ko mga pix ng bracelet d ko lang syado makagawa ng madami gawang ng busy sa work pero minsan sinisingit ko..

Ano kaya maganda gawin for promotion?

^^ sis, wala bang second-class? hehe.

i went naman sa carolina's kanina. di ko masyado gusto mga beads. parang mas ok pa din sa quiapo. anyway, san meron nung mga teardrop-shaped beads, wala kasi ako masyado nakita sa DIY at wellmanson's pati sa 88 bldg ba yun.

gusto ko sana yung madaming pagpipilian colors. thanks

^you have the option to use rhodium or this other coating i just cant remember it right now... slightly more expensive than the regular ones but not as expensive naman with the korean or japanese made...

as for the teardrop beads, try the ones at CBC... acrylic lang pero maganda ang gawa... there were teardrop 'indonesian' beads at butingting and DIY last time i was there (about a month ago)...

^ thanks sis. sa sunod ko na punta sa quiapo, magdadala na talaga ako ng listahan. kung ano-ano kasi nabibili ko tapos wala naman yung mga kaylangan ko talaga. hehe.

yung headpin na nabili ko mukhang di nagtutuklap kaya yun na din muna ang ginagawa kong eyepin habang di pa ako nakakabalik sa quiapo.

Ano po ang tawag doon sa bead craft kung saan may pattern tapos itutusok ang mga beads sa styrofoam? Ang tagal ko na ni re-research pero hindi ko mahanap...

^im not sure sis kung marami dun pero heard sa dubai daw or china.. yung gumawa kasi ng gown ng ento ko nung wedding dun galing mga beadworks na nilagay sa gown... kaso syempre gastos naman if travel pa, nag search din kasi ako supplier abroad ng mga beads basta yung naiiba
