kinkytinch, try mo kay yunan reyes. sya ang nagpatour sa amin last year. iyon nga lang bring your own tent sa kanya. if wala kang tent meron ata sa ranger station pwede ring sabihin mo na rin ito kay yunan.

I'll be on a solo travel soon, from YYZ to MNL.. another super long trip! Though I'm planning to stay in Hongkong for 1 day, pwede kaya yun since dun naman stopover ng airline ko?!

Hi mga sis, baka meron kayo inputs. Next weekend kasi I am planning for a weekend getaway, Solo lang  (magiisip-isip lang LOL). Sat-Sun lang at yung hinde naman super layo.
booking airline tix is not an option for me right now since next week na to, ang mahal ng fare.
Sana yung makakarelax talaga ako and makakapagisip mabuti. hehe
Exclude ang overnight sa Hotel dito sa Metro, Tagaytay, Anawangin. Prefer ko sana yung di ko pa napupuntahan. Gusto ko din bumalik ng Sagada pero hinde kaya to ng schedule.

Baguio kaya? first time na solo akong pupunta dun if ever. hmmm
Baler? ok kaya kahit wala akong balak magsurf? i've never been there so sounds exciting to
Quezon? Any recommendations?

great, i thought i'm the only one who does solo travels. i started with just dining out alone, having coffee alone, malling alone, clubbing alone, going somewhere far north then far south and so the story continued. until i reached visayan and ilocos region alone. haha adventure talaga. my friends find it weird but my stand is i need time off alone and if it happens, i don't worry wherever my feet bring me.

i went on solo personal travel to hongkong last dec 2009, wala tuloy akong picture   

i would also want ot travel to japan, if walang makasama, ok lang kung solo ulit...

Sis, balak ko din pumunta ng Japan. Mag joined forces na lang tayo!  Tokyo at neighboring province... Spring sana para dun sa Sakura Festival.

1ST POST KO DIN ITO

at plan ko mag travel ng solo this year..Thailand pinili ko dahil sa foods!
Super love spicy foods, dahil sa temples..Di pa kasi ako nakakita ng temples..Saka ng malaking Buddha hihi
-maganda din daw mag shopping dito, pero honestly, hindi shopping ang habol ko..yung places talaga..

-saka 1st time ko din abroad..waaaaaaaa natatakot ako! OMG matanda na ako, kailangan ko na gawin to..mag 20 na ako this year di pa ako nakaalis ng PH..

-saan po ba ako mag start? I mean, shempre budget, places to visit,
-yung mga travellers natin dito like neeners, riandrew etc etc
pwede pa-help?
-di ko alam kung saan ako mag start eh! Umm,  shempre start natin explore ang net, what's next??? hehe

farasyut: Picking a destination is a good start! Here's a couple of questions you might want to think over to help you get started with your planning:
When are you going?
How long will you stay?
Where in particular do you want to go? (Bangkok only or will you go to other Thai provinces?)
Is there anything in particular that you want to do/experience?

When are you going? kung pwede lAng sana kahit bukas na excited!! siguro June or July..basta pag ayos na lahat, pag planchado na ITI ko. pero mga sis anong month ba pinakamagandang pumunta sa Thailand? nagbabasa din pala ako sa Thailand Thread para my idea.
How long will you stay?3 days plan ko..pero kung pwede ko pa mapuntahan Cambodia, why not coconut! kahit 1 day lang sa Cambodia..possible ba yun?
Where in particular do you want to go? (Bangkok only or will you go to other Thai provinces?) eto ang mahirap sagutin, siguro kailangan ko pa pag aralan bansa nila..Haha pero baka nga Bangkok muna..kasi andun naman siguro halos lahat. basta my mga temples, Giant Buddha, foods! foods please..balita ko masarap daw street foods dun..

@farasyut : yes ok sa thailand!!! masaya magshopping and very cheap pa.. no need for conversion kc 2pesos lang naman.. i suggest mag Grand Pearl cruise ka kc dun talaga ko nagenjoy.. something new! sulit ang dinner buffet ang sarap ng food....

When: June is lean season na sa Thailand. Weather is a bit similar to Philippine weather, though mas maulan sa western seaboard (Phuket & Krabi area). Kung Bangkok lang pupuntahan mo, di naman ganun ka-dalas ang ulan. Uulan, pero siguro mga 1 hour lang then araw na uli.

How long: If you're just going to there for 3 days, best to just stay in Thailand since you can easily waste 1 day in transit to Cambodia. If you want to include Cambodia, at the very LEAST 5 days.

Where: Bangkok can easily keep you occupied for 3 days. You can go temple hopping in 1 day, go shopping on the 2nd day and a day trip to Ayutthaya on the 3rd day. Of course, this depends on your flight schedule. Food tripping can be done in between temples and shopping centers

If it helps you to feel more comfortable traveling on your own to a place that's familiar, go! The biggest hurdle about getting started on solo traveling is not the destination, but the thought of being on your own.

I understand your concern your safety, but as someone who has traveled around Southeast Asia alone, I can tell you that it's not as bad as you think. Yes, there are bombings, there are pickpockets, there are people who will scam you. These things can happen everywhere in the world, and you can't really say when they're going to happen. 

If you can afford to stay at 5-star hotels, pwes, inggit ako sayo LOL.

Inggit din ako! You'll be surprised how may hotels/inns that do not have a 5-star rating but performs like one:D. I would rather have a not so-so nice hotel (but clean bathroom) and spend the money on authentic food . I can get my dose of a good bed in my room . Sharing:)
