my 12yo daughter was given a letter by their school to have this vaccine but i didn't obliged coz she's too young for this and i, for one, is not convinced about its effectiveness. maybe, i'll just have to do with a yearly pap smear & try to have a healthy lifestyle

just had my second shot of gardasil a few days ago and i've got ZERO awareness on it's possible side effects and to think i'm spending a whole lot more (approx 11500/shot) as i'm based abroad and i'm getting my shots here... having watched  these, now i'm really having second thoughts of getting my last shot.. a regular papsmear will suffice anyway so i think i'll stick to that na lang..

overall, it's a personal choice. i think though, that until a link has been established between the vaccine and those deaths, i'll stick to the vaccine. i've had two shots already and so far, buhay pa naman ako. lol.

aah so pwede pala magpavaccine kahit di na virgin? parang may narinig kasi ako dun sa tito ko na pedia that you can have this as long as you havent engaged in sexual intercourse yet.

^Yes pwede. My SIL had her shot pero may anak na siya.

People should talk with their OB-gyne. State your concerns and all. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Masasagot naman yan ng OB.

^^ Im already a mom. but still had a shot. Sabi naman safe daw ito sa lahat, kasi pang prevent siya ng HPV virus that causes cancer .

Sis. tama ka. mas mura ang cervarix kesa sa gardasil.A lecture was given to us last September 1 and 2 . Mas lower ang price ng Cervarix kasi HPV 16 and 18 lang ang type of virus na pwedeng maprevent. Sa gardasil mas mahal sya kasi 4 types of HPV ang pwede maprevent , which is HPV 6, 11, 16 and 18.

I read here that someone had the shot at 29. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the age limit for Gardasil is 26 while for Cervarix, it's 25.

I had cervarix shot recently. I am already 29. But my doc didn't say anything about the age limit. So I guess this is okay. Kasi yung OB ko 30+ na daw sya nung nagpa vaccine sya.

i did hear something about the age limit din but i'm really not so sure..  just got my shot recently and my ob knows i'm 30 na! haha.. per my colleague's ob, though, it wouldn't be of much use na rin if you're past 26 and i heard it late so wala na rin ako nagawa.. lol!

I just to talk someone in asian hospital and there's a doctor na nagbibigay ng gardasil shot for only 3.5k.

Hello sisses, a friend of mine who is a medrep from GSK (Cervarix) informed me that Cervarix is intended for females 10 yrs old up. I asked her din if booster shot is required, she said no as for the continuous studies made by GSK for Cervarix,  after several years of having had the Cervarix shot, patients were evaluated and nakita na mataas pa din titers nila so no need for the booster shot.

i opted for gardasil too. i paid 3500... parang bumaba presyo nya noh since i heard 7k daw ang shot nito a year back... is this true?

Gusto ko rin mag ma inject nitong vaccine kaya lang hesitant ako dahil sa mga side effects na nababasa ko and besides 29 na ako so baka wala nang effect.
