why are there a lot of people who do not know about the etiquette of taking a shower before diving into the pool? for the past week, i've encountered two of them, and its so eiw!

OMG! Good thing I saw this thread. I just registered for swimming lessons every Wed. I always wanted to learn but I didn't know where to start. Buti na lang it's being offered in my school's recreational division. I bought a one-piece swimsuit, swim cap and goggles na. Super excited talaga ko.

i love swimming, and i compete sa school's individual medley and long range swimming. it really is the best exercise, kasi lahat ng muscles mo talaga. i miss it though, kasi last august pa ko huling nagtrain. and this is my last year na rin. but maybe i'll do lappings every now and then para naman fit pa rin. :) and plus pa is, lalakas lungs mo.

hi mga sisters.. may group ba tayo ng swimmers dito? naisip ko lang, yung mga may interest sa swimming, mag get-together then mag hire ng swimming instructor. kung sinong may condo or village within makati or ortigas area na pwede doon mag-swimming session, doon na lang mag-swimming.pitch in na lang sa bayad sa instructor or sa swimming pool area

I studied swimming when I was very young at Jusmag, inside Fort Bonifacio.  They have a lap pool, 6 lanes if I remember it right.  They also have a kiddie pool. I'm not sure if they are still operating but they have lots of part time  teachers there that you can pay after just every class.  Its inexpensive, I might try to go there someday again.

ano'ng stroke sister? kung freestyle, dapat timing sa pag-stroke ng kamay mo sa water (yung point na perpendicular ang "stroking" arm mo sa floor) bena palabas na sya ng water.) ang hirap naman i-explain. hahahaha

It's inside Fort Bonifacio sis, close sa Army.. but I just realized, they might not be operating anymore, but I'm sure the Army Gym still does.  Meron din sila na ganun, look for part time soldiers there who will teach you, and just give them any decent amount at the end of each class.  Then you can discuss kung kelan pwede ang regular schedule niyo.

We used to go swimming at marikina sports center. Malaki ang pool doon so maganda talaga syang venue for swimming lessons. My bf anf bf's friend go there for fun and eventually learned how to swim w/o any instructors. Very observant lang kami sa mga naglelessons dun and naaaply naman namin sa paglangoy hehe.

One tip is eengjoy nyo lang ang tubig and magglide lang kayo for fun and mag-bubbles  ;D .

^ Sis, why don't you try to join Triathlons, ang dami ngayon nun.  Add ka lang ng Biking to your run and swim, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

^^ It's never to late to learn sis.

^ Try mo tingnan yung website ng bert lozada, madami silang venue for swimming pool lessons.

Saan ba merong malinis at may locker na swimming pool malapit sa shaw blvd? Mag-start na kasi ako ng work, gusto ko sana mag-swim once a week during friday after work. Open kaya ang Philsports until 7pm, may locker for rent ba dun?

thanks.
