I was rushed to the hospital sa manila doctors.. nilagyan ako ng heplock thfrough IV binigay yung meds.. unag shotvsaken omeprazole dinumiffect saken dinpa din mawala yung pain.. so binigyan ako ng mataas na dose na pain killer.. i was subjected to endoscopy pag sumakita pa din tummy ko.. kasi ang findings saken acid peptic desease.  hayy tiotoo nakakapang hina talaga pag umatake yung sakit halos di ko kaya mag salita at konteng kibot lang parangbsakit sakit na.

Nakakatakot pala talaga ang ulcer. Acid peptic disease ang diagnosis ng doc. Nagpa gastroscopy si hubby recently at nandon ako habang ginagawa yun. Nakita na malaki yung ulcer nya, maga ang bituka nya plus may bacterial infection sya. Kaya ngayon talagang hindi na sya nagpapalipas ng gutom. Iwas iwas din sa stress kasi isa rin daw yun sa cause.

^i got scared sa kwento mo, i was diagnosed din acid peptic dse. sabi ng doctor the only way na malaman na may ulcer is yung endoscopy. huhuhu, san kayo nag pa endoscopy? i know kasi sa makati med nasa 13k. Im a philhealth member baka sakali maka mura ako, na im so stressed sa situation ko..

Just would like to share my experience re endoscopy and colonoscopy. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Sobrang nervous pa ko before the procedure, it was my first time kasi kahit ma-IV. Hehe!

I've been experiencing on and off epigastric pains the past 6 weeks even if my doctor asked me to take Omeprazole once a day. The meds helped kasi it was not as bad as the 1st week naman and nabawasan yung abdominal pains unless may mali akong nakain. Since di totally nawawala, my gastro ordered that I undergo gastroscopy and colonoscopy, sabay na since same preparation lang naman. 3 days before the procedure, I was asked to stop eating veggies and high fiber food. Then the day before, clear liquid diet na before taking 4 laxatives and 2 bottles of magnesium citrate for the bowel prep. I was expecting the worst taste of Mag Citrate kasi nabasa ko sa internet everyone hated it, buti nalang the one I got from St. Luke's didn't taste so bad. 30 mins palang, I started to have diarrhea na so increased liquid intake is really recommended. Medyo mahirap matulog kasi pabalik-balik ka talaga sa CR (haha sorry TMI). Drank lots of liquid until 2am then fasting na for my 10am procedure.

The anesthesiologist briefed me when I got to SLMC and assured me na it's gonna be a painless, safe procedure since I'll be sedated. True enough, wala ako na-feel or even maalala. After prepping me inside the procedure room, my gastro arrived para kumustahin ako and waited till the anesthesiologist was done. She sprayed lang a local anesthesia sa throat ko then sabay na pala nun yung gamot para makatulog ako na thru IV dinaan. The nurse knew it was my first time so she said, "maam, we'll make it as painless as possible" next thing I know, nasa recovery room na ko. Tapos na pala!

I was diagnosed with non erosive gastritis so doc prescribed Omeprazole again for two weeks then check-up ulit. Sana maging ok na! I also take manuka honey and probiotics since helpful daw yun as per others na may same condition. Iwas coffee muna (HUHUHU) and tomato-based or spicy food, favorite ko pa naman yun. But food din daw cause ng sakit ko kasi negative ako sa h-pylori bacteria. Colonoscopy was okay rin. No polyps or anything na for biopsy. Wheew!!

So don't be scared to undergo this procedure. Wala naman palang kakatakutan Ang bilis lang nya. Mga 20-25 mins lang according to my mom eh tapos na ko. Now I feel at least more relieved than nung puro check-up pero we don't know ano yung sakit talaga. Makakatulong yung HMO since covered sya, and Philhealth din so just prepare the necessary forms. Buti ok rin the doctors and nurses na nag-handle saken sa St Lukes Fort.

Yam not sirenkung nakapagshare nako dari about gerd.

Naranasan ko dati yan minsan masukasuka ako lalo na pag nakatayo then parang hingal ako. Nagdiet ako inavoid ko lahat ng bawal, halos steam lahat ng kinakain ko. Binigyan ako ng gamot pero hindi effective ok din results ng blood test kaya inadvise ng dr. na paendoscopy ako... kala ko magcacancer nako sa bituka sa nararanasan ko nun.

alam niyo ginawa ko...   Binago ko lifestyle at di ko na inisip mga pinoproblema ko nun. At hindi na ako nagdiet, kumain ako ng normal kahit spicy foods, coffee basta inisip ko walang bawal at masarap kumain then inenjoy ko lang life  at nagrelax ako. Kinalimutan ko din hearburn kahit nafifeel ko pa di ko na pinansin.. Now normal na pakiramdam ko at blooming pa.

Huhu. Had acute gastritis a few months before. 2x siyang nangyari on separate occasions. Then just recently, I had my period kaya nagccramps ako. Then nung gabi na narealize ko hindi siya nawawala and sinisikmura na pala ako. Nahirapan ako matulog pero nakatulog naman, but once na bumangon ako, sumakit na naman siya. Nagpatingin ako and same meds din binigay ng GP. Pero tuloy-tuloy pa din yung sakit. On the 2nd day, sumasakit siya kapag kumakain ako. 3rd day, nabawasan naman, pero sumasakit kapag naglalakad ako nang mabilis. 3rd day din ako nagpatingin sa gastro and she said baka UTI or sa reproductive system ko daw ang problem, kasi ang may pain with pressure is sa baba (ang di niya na-gets ay sumasakit yung sikmura ko paminsan-minsan with movements).

Ngayon halos kanin lang kinakain ko kasi takot akong sumakit ulit siya. Nung December naman ang dalas ko mag-Starbucks, wala naman nangyari sakin. Pero yung week before, instant coffee ang dinalasan ko, saka nagkaroon ng pains.

Now I'm just waiting for my ultrasound result, pero sabi nung gumawa eh wala namang problema. As of now, wala na masyadong pain, konting kirot na lang paminsan-minsan...

Gusto ko sana mahanap na yung cause kasi nakakapagod na paulit-ulit na lang.

Ang hirap talaga ng feeling. I was diagnosed with GERD and the cause is stress. I have taken Omepron, tapos after 2 weeks, naging ok na ako. Tapos bumalik na naman sya nung na stress ulit sa work. I was prescribed with other medicine. Ok naman after taking it for 2 weeks. Avoid spicy and fatty foods. I also have heartburn huhuhuhu. I don't know how to treat this.

^Ganyan din ako sis, every three months or so bumabalik. Once may kasamang heartburn, naiyak talaga ko sa takot. I think because of stress.

But yung recently, dinismiss ng gastro as due to my period kasi normal lahat ng organs ko sa ultrasound, even my kidneys and uterus. So I'm just watching my food na lang... Siguro minsanang cheat day na rin to have coffee. Hehe.

 Before i got pregnant nag ka peptic acid dse. ako,  i take omepron din and maalox plus.. May mga occassions na sumasakit din ang sikmura ko ng sobra mas okay saken ang gaviscon halos yun isang bote ng gaviscon. Dalawang araw ko lang yun. di na ako nag tatake ng omepron kasi di naman safe ata yun sa buntis.. Ako din di na kumakain ng spicy at oily foods. More on veggies na lang ako.  Sabi din ng doctor na tumingin saken stress daw isang cause.

covered naman ata ng HMO namin. On and off din gastritis ko, pero seems medyo malala sya ngayon
Hindi na nga ko nagco-coffee (mga isang lagok lang ganon) vs dati na everyday. Iwas din softdrinks na din ako. I was prescribed rabeprazole (PPI) nung nagpa consult ako, pero parang di sya masyado naka-help. Doctor also ordered fecalysis, pero di ko naman ma-timing-an na within 15 mins makapag submit ng stool sample.
I'm trying harder talaga na umiwas sa bawal. Kasoooooo ang hirap, sa lagay na to, di naman ako mahilig sa meat, I prefer gulay pa nga, pero ganito pa din
I miss coffee T_T

^ hello sis baka puwede ang decaf na coffee satin? hindi ko pa ito natatanong pero I hope so.
Mahirap din for me to give up coffee kasi shift ko is 6am and I have to be alert and green tea is not helping alam ko bawal parin tea pero at least lesser evil..yun nga lang hindi siya nagwowork for me and I get headaches parin.

sakin covered din ng HMO namin. thinking of consulting again altho I have been off sa medication ever since after the endoscopy. I still get pains if I don't eat on time even when not hungry

Hi sisses, alam ko pwede ang decaf, although they really suggest to avoid coffee na. I had coffee yesterday, medyo nafeel ko na may konting pagsama ng tiyan. Hehe. I guess di na ko makakabalik sa dati na twice a week ay coffee. Tea also is not good daw pero may mga nababasa ako online na pwede naman daw peppermint tea. Kami walang HMO. Hay.

^ bawal parin peppermint sis..yan isa sa mga nilista na bawal ng doc ko.  although I am not really a fan of peppermint kaya keri lang hehe. hot water nalang siguro inumin ko sa umaga wahaha!

Doing okay na tummy with lemon water in the morning ~ 2 weeks ko na sya ginagawa. Kaso na-skip yesterday, and dahil sa migraine di rin ako naka kain, ayan today super hapdi na naman

Good to know meron po palang topic about this. I have gastritis din since late 2000s pa, nagpapa hospital lang ako when it gets worst pero hindi na ako nakakabalik for check up talaga puro ER lang. I think I should see a doctor na bacause bumabalik na naman, any recommended doctors? Preferably sa Makati area.

Mga sis puwede ba decaf satin? I'm really having a hard time getting rid of coffee because it gives me super bad migraine na kahit anong gamot hindi nawawala

Mga sis,  sakin nireseta yung domperidone kasi para daw sa hangin iyon... kasabay non ay yung esomeprazole. may nakapag take na ba sainyo ng domperidone?

^i used to take domperidone and esomeprazole ng sabay and yes for burping yun.. i like the combo  kasi super lakas ko mag burp dahil sa gerd

pain reliever din po ba yung domperidone? kasi kung pain reliever siya... wala bang masamang side effects iyon? pero ang kinaganda nawala yung paikot-ikot na hangin sa tiyan ko, three times a day ko siya iniinom.

i feel so bloated na talaga and sakit na talaga ng hangin
