Same lang ba ang effect ng facial scrub and facial mask which is to exfoliate?

Facial scrub I think would help more, usually masks naman ginagamit after facial because of the packed nutrients in the mask.  Yung may serum, soothes the skin after pricking.  For blackheads, zerona has an ultrasonic scrubber na ginagamit muna before facial, then pricking. This is a good way to maintain the skin, para black heads free.

^^ what salicylic acid product did you use.

Dalawang types yun e. The other one is for warts.

I've been using this homemade scrub for a week. So far, kumonti na yung nakukuha kong whiteheads kapag gumagamit ako ng pore strips. Madali din nag d-dry yung pimples ko. It's a combination of sugar, salt, green tea (from a tea bag), powdered milk and baking soda. I ran out of oatmeal so I used green tea instead (Just to add some texture to the scrub). I used grinder din pala para maging fine ang granules.

Confused ako sa dami ng good products/options kung ano dapat ko gawin for my gigantic nose and cheek pores. Madami akong blackheads sa nose. Di ko alam kung:
1. Buy Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, around P350 sa Healthy Options.
2. Magpa-ship ng TCA 12% gel peel sa Amazon, $25 (+P800 Johnny Air shipping fee pa).
3. Magpa-regular TCA peel w/ vit. C infusion kay Dr. Martires, P1,000 per session.
4. Magpa-regular Spanish peel w/ Dr. Chua, P1,000 per session.
5. Magpunta sa nearby spa clinic, ultrasonic scrubbing with vit. C infusion, vit. E mask (no peeling), P500 per session
6. Buy balancing facial wash, toner, and moisturizing night cream from Human Heart Nature, less than P400.

Any advice mga sis? Ano kaya pinaka-effective and worthwhile?

Pang-gawaing tamad for me yung option #5 kasi malapit lang, so I can just go whenever I feel like it and pag may pera ako. But facialist lang ang gagawa eh. Tipid yung option 1. If option 2 works out, wow that'll be great and tipid in the long run. But I have to shell out like P2,000 agad. Mas convenient for me to go to Dr. Chua, pero first come first serve basis yata sya, kelangan masipag ako pumila. Familiar na ko kay Dr. Martires kasi nagpapa-LHR na ko sa kanya and I like na by appointment sya, kaya lang di convenient for me magpunta Tiendesitas unless LHR session ko din. Option 6 is good 'cause maganda products ng HHN and mura pa. Na-try ko na deo and baby shampoo nila.

How do you apply it? Make sure you spot on the zit lang using a Q-tip lang as it can create dark spots if applied on the skin excessively.

Better see a reputable derm, it will also save you the money and hassle that usually comes with trial and error. In my experience, over the counter topicals do very little for enlarged large pores and stubborn blackheads. You will need to do monthly or bi-monthly peels, plus a home regimen consisting of tretinoin, bha or lha to keep your pores clear.

A few months ago, I also tried to do an at-home peel using a peel that I got from a reputable seller in the US. Mandelic Peel lang and was supposed to be the mildest - only 25%, very little difference from the M2 Skin Refinish 20%, I used to use daily. After leaving it on as instructed, my skin reacted in rashes that took a a few weeks to clear up. Note na sikat ang brand ng peel and had very positive reviews in MUA and other forums. After that, I swore I'd never attempt to do another peel and just leave it to the experts.
