^there are savings/thrift banks that offers competitive salary packages versus commercial banks. may alam ako mas mataas pa starting salary sa bdo (entry-level position). sa fringe benefits na lang na lang nagkakatalo. sa work load naman, given na na mas magaan sa thrift banks.

^the general perception is that thrift banks are banks for the masses. most of the time, thrift bank has limited scope of services offered as compared to commercial banks which supports almost all types of financial services. one of the advantages of thrift banking is high-yield savings and  low maintaining balances.

best example for thrift/savings banks are bpi family and psbank. both are subsidiaries of bpi and metrobank (commercial), respectively.

sis, kase HR sya dun. so bongga daw ang salary ng mga IT at engineers dun..

yes. but for the fresh grad? parang not all company offers high pay.. lalo na wala pang experience..

^mahirap ba matanggap na med rep sa Unilab? This question is not from me but from a relative. May age limit ba? His sister is a MD and his sister told him to apply sa Unilab etc..and she is willing to help him, pag naging med rep na sya, sa mga classmates nya who are also now doctors in different hospitals in MM and some are in diff. hospitals in the rest of the PH. Thing is 40 na sya. change career sana daw sya. Medyo nadiscouraged sya kasi he applied na daw before at 38 in a different company pero tinarayan daw sya ng HR na, "can't you see na ang age limit is at 35 sa ads?". Any info sis?..sayang din kasi sabi ng sister nya, at least may ready client/s na. I mentioned this thread to him. And sabi nya tanungin ko daw yung nag work sa Unilab esp. since listed nga here as best employer.

yung kasama ko sa dept. namin, nag work din sya sa unilab.. maganda naman daw kaya lang agency.. kung staff position agency daw.. pero kung may position ka na etc.. dun pa lang daw sila direct..

Sis, as you can see, di nga sya tinanggap na med rep sa Unilab and another one, mas mataas na level pa? As for his choice na med rep, ayun nga na enumerate ko na above, which I believe is very valid, kung gusto talaga ng Unilab kumita. Practical lang. Sayang talaga kasi tingin ko marami syang magiging client. As for his career choices, I cannot judge him esp. in the context of the bearish Philippine job market. I am just here to help.
