anyway, i think i've found a theme for my son's 7th bday --arts and crafts.  he's fond of sketching and doing all kinds of paper crafts kasi.  iniisip ko, just have around 50 people max. question is, may alam ba kayong party host who does this kind of theme?  i wanna do away with magic shows and clowns kasi malaki na siya eh and nung first bday niya meron nang ganyan.  any suggestions mga sis?  tia!

@amethyst, thanks for the suggestion kaya lang i don't know any art teachers e.  but if i do come across someone during the summer (maghahanap kasi ako ng summer art class for my son) i could ask =)

aside pala from arts and crafts, parang ok din yung mad science as a theme.  i'm actually planning to surprise my son with a party para maiba naman and i'm thankful super dami nang resources online including this thread.  =)

^ I have not tried Craft Camp.  I just read about Craft Camp in Daphne Oseña's blog several months ago.  Mukhang interesting naman when I checked their FB site.

@WandaWits i was thinking the same thing. baka hindi rin magpunta yung mga classmates niya. although july naman yun. wala rin ako kilala sa mga parents ng friends and classmates niya. baka ang magpunta mga relatives namin and friends ko with their kids na hindi naman niya close. and konting konti lang kids mga 10 maximum na, and 1 lang ang close niya dun.

@kareni thanks sis! kamusta naman weather don pag month of May? July birthday niya pero i want to bring him while summer vacation pa nila. oo nga e, 70k to throw in 1 day parang hindi practical.

sis, weather in hong kong by may is beach weather.  summer na yan with hugh humidity.  although temp may be averaging 28-29 celsius it would feel like 33-35 because of humidity.  as you well know, surrounded by water ang hong kong kaya quite sticky but then again as the saying goes if you survive in the phils you can survive everywhere kaya go na kayo ng big boy mo just make sure you bring shorts and t-shirts.  ang catch nga pala since summer vacation sa atin, expensive ang plane fares so book early.

Naiinis naman ako sa partypipolevents.multiply.com na 'yan! Since Sunday pa ako nagi-inquire until now wala pa ding reply. 4 na party food cart lang ang gusto ko i-avail dahil they offer very competitive pricing kaso naman kunsumido na ako wala pa ding reply.

May maire-recommend ba kayo mga sis?

marose, star wars theme? oo nga bagay.  i'm actually leaning more on the mad science theme na  than arts and crafts cause when i contacted craft camp, they only had masks eh parang mas bagay yun sa girls than boys.  but i am still on the look out for others.  thanks for the suggestions.  =)

^maganda talaga Mad Science napanood ko siya sa school ng anak ko nakakatuwa and alam ko lagi silang nasa school eh. From preschool to high school yata nandun sila. But I just learned na pwede sila sa mga party

Hi Byutijunkie, Thanks! Bagay talaga ang Mad Science for kids na medyo malaki na. Ngayon kasi yung ibang bigger kids feeling nila magic shows and games are too young for them... sa mad science kahit mga tito and tita ko, nakikipag agawan pa sa mga bata. I'm not even kidding... talagang sobrang hit na hit sa matanda. Pati ako, hindi maka entertain ng guests at naka focus ako sa show. haha...

mad science is purely educational , pwedeng boy pwedeng girl for me. Medyo may kamahalan lang ang package and they need ample space dahil marami silang dala. Kung same sa nakita ko sa school ng anak ko.

Mga sis, the mad science I got is P15k + 2500 for the rocket.

Maliit lang space na nagamit nila from us kasi we moved pa the stage sa party ng son ko to the garage kasi umuulan nun sa garden. THo, akala ko din they would need a bigger space pero the space from the 4 car garage seems kasya naman kasi may mga tables and chairs occupied pa dun. Siguro mga at least 9sqm of stage kasya na sila.

Of course, sis... okay din yan sa girls. I saw mga mad science parties in the US for girls and it was a hit din.
