^Hi sis! In our case, Kumon helped a lot n terms of helping my son to write. As I mentioned in my previous post, before sobrang pahirapan kmi sa writing, kahit tracing lang yan but now, sobrang laki nang improvement in terms of writing. He can write his own name w/o assistance.

Hi mga sis,

is it advisable na instead of pa attend ko ng preschool anak ko e mag Kumon nalang siya?

^personally sis, i would still choose to send my kids to preschool instead of kumon since reading and math lang ang inooffer ng kumon. its just a supplementary study.   but you can always try preschool and kumon together.

^I agree with you sis! Kumon is just supplemental, preschool pa din dapat.

Kumon doesn't really cater to socialization ng kids so preschool din ang vote ko. :)

Kumon Math program is working well with my 3 year old. When we started mid of October, my son knew only 1-10 and only when he was in the mood to count. His Kumon level was 7a (beginner) when i had him evaluated. Now he can count 1-120 and now in level 4a. I am excited to see how the Reading program will work for him. I just enrolled him today.

The benefits of Kumon aside from learning is the development of discipline, concentration, independence and determination. Before I enrolled him with Kumon, I was actually suspecting that my son had ADHD as he was having difficulty concentrating on a particular task for at least 3 minutes. He was also exhibiting lack of interest in learning numbers and letters. Now, he is eager for Kumon time and he himself suggests I give him another round of extra Kumon aside from his daily worksheets.  :)
I asked GOD for all things, that I might enjoy life,
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all men, most richly blessed.

We went to Kumon in Makati 2 weeks ago to inquire and nag test na yung anak ko to determine anong stage daw siya. We are still waiting for a text from them If when yung Parents orientation. It's been 2 or 3 weeks na nga yata but we still havent heard from them. Nakaka turn off.

Considering Kumon for my daughter this summer. My daughter is good naman in both English and Math, she's a really fast learner. What I want to train her on talaga is concentration and discipline, and perhaps get a few Math techniques that will be helpful to her moving forward with her schooling.

Everyday is worth waking up for :)

We finally started the 2 weeks Trial. Im still checking If Kumon will help my son. He's 5 turning 6 this August and we are still considering other methods like 1on1 tutorials. I want to instill good study habits kasi so we tried Kumon first. Gusto ko kasi sana na by the time he's already Grade 4 or mas early pa e kaya na niya na siya nalang gagawa ng homework niya then i check ko nalang after If tama. :)

My daughter started with the free trial last week. She is almost 8yo, grade 2 level. May parents orientation muna, then exam to determine which level sya mag start sa kumon. Madali lang yung exam according to my daughter. According to the facilitator, start muna sa subject na gusto ng kid para hindi sya mahirapan mag adjust. My daughter loves Math, so yun yung free trial nya, then pag okay na, saka kmi mag shift or mag add ng English.
The trial is 30mins sa center once a week (if regular class days, 45 minutes, 2x a week). then may homework sya na scheduled every day gagawin. may daughter enjoys doing it. hindi ko na kailangan bantayan. I just check it afterwards if I want. anytime of the day pwede nya gawin yung hw. takes her 30mins to finish the homework booklet. for this week, addition lang ng numbers like 20+1, 26+1, 51+1 etc..5 booklets na ganun.  then may isang booklet naman next level na +2s naman.
My daughter has good grades naman sa school, honor roll naman sya, but I enrolled her in Kumon in preparation to her transfer sa big school pag grade 4 na. I want her to develop study habits na may certain time of the day na mag aaral sya at hindi puro laro or ipad or nood TV.
dapat sa summer ko pa sya enroll, but when I saw the free trial, nag try na din kami para sya ang magsabi sakin kung gusto nya or ayaw mya ituloy. so far super enjoy naman sya.

We're done with the 2 week trial and my son is doing great. So far we like how they teach my son how to reach. Faces siya talaga. In just 2 weeks, my son can write his first name on his own na. We are scheduled for a parents orientation next Tuesday and then enroll na namin siya for reading. :)

^yes, this is true sis. Nun orientation namin sa Kumon last year, they emphasized yung commitment, not only ng bata, but the parents as well, sa program. 1 worksheet per day sila. for my daughter na both math and reading, that's 2 worksheets. And I would say na nadedevelop talaga is yung scheduling ng study time kasi pagdating ko sa bahay after work mag-answer na kami ng Kumon worksheets nya.

^ I recently enrolled my son.

Hayaan daw muna mag adjust. Mas mura ang Kumon kesa sa Enopi.
