hope you don't mind me asking for an advice.
my work requires me to stay in front of the computer the whole day.
napansin ko lang,ngayon mabilis mapagod at sumakit ang mata ko.
parang feeling ko, pag tapos ng trabaho sa gabi, pagod na pagod ako kahit hindi naman physical ang trabaho ko.

do you think i have to wear glasses dr? and if yes, what kind of glasses kaya and dapat sakin?

Ako din blurry na vision ko but i dunno where to go,,,saan ba maganda paconsult ng eyes? Sa opthalmologist or sa optical?,,,i heard dapat sa optical daw kasi ang mga ophthal sa nag-oopera lang ng mata,,cataract, glaucoma and etc,,sa optical daw kasi mas expertee nila ang glasses,,bakit kasi dalawa pa yan eye doctor? Dont know who to trust anymore these days ha.,,,,

ask ko lang merun ba dito kapareho ko ng secnario sa mata ko.
Yung right eye ko kase sobrang teary, panu? pag naeexpose sa brighness at sa init naiiyak ako kahit anung pigil ko. ang nakakainis pa for example magmamakeup ng eyeliner or magpuput ng anything sa mata ko, naiiyak siya si right eye lang then madadamay  na si left eye.

tapos alam nyo yung pakiramdam mo na may something na nakahrang sa talukap ng mata ko pero wala naman pag tinitingnan ko. nababadtrep ako sa mata ko.

I wanted to get contact lenses so I went to an optical shop yesterday. After a series of tests, the optometrist advised to not wear contact lenses yet since I have a few abrasions and a scar on my right eye's cornea. He gave me Cellufresh to use for a month and told me to return then to see if I can wear contact lenses. He also told me to see an opthalmologist since two of my lower eyelashes are touching my eye.

Hi mga Sis, meron bang digital eye check up satin sa pinas?  Mas accurate kase yata ang reading ng grado pag ganito gamit lalo sa mga kids.  Baka meron kayo lam na clinic somewhere in metro manila?  Thanks

If ALL you are interested in is the grade of your eye and not any other potential problem of the eye, then usually, an optometrist is all you need. If,by any chance, you do have other problems in the eye, then you had best see an ophthalmologist. It will save you a visit.

Hi Dr. Richie ... Can i ask for an advice?
 I'm 17 y.o. and have a big difference on my eye grades. They don't have the same grade. I haven't consulted an optometrist recently but my eyeglasses have 3.75 and 1.25 (if i remember it right). It is not really my grade. They lessen it because I feel dizzy. Last 5 months, I tried using contacts for the first time but I sometimes feel dizzy. What should i do? I really wanted to use contacts.

It is possible that you need glasses. It is also possible that you just have computer vision syndrome. See your ophtha to find out.

Ophthalmologists check the grade and the overall health of your eye

I believe Angel's dad had a retina problem. That is completely different from your "grade".

define "digital eye checkup". There are so many tests that are called "digital". If you mean "refraction" or "grade", the digital part just gives a ballpark value. In the end trial lenses will still be placed on your eye and YOU will need to tell us which lens is clearer from YOUR point of view

Hi I am planning to undergo lasik surgery next month, and I asked American Eye Center about their price, and it's 89k. Wala na bang discount yun? Yung 5 yrs ago, yung dad ko around 35k lang yung one eye, pati sa sister ko mga ganun lang din ang range, so I was expecting na 70k lang both eyes pero mas nagmahal. San pa ba mas okay na magpalasik? Kasi mataas grade ko nasa 11 and 9 tapos may astigmatism pa. I was wearing glasses since Grade 1 pa lang ako. I badly need to undergo the surgery kasi sobrang labo na talaga, natatakot ako na baka mablind ako.

hi dr richie, newbie here. i badly need advise. may i ask kung anong possible problem yung eyes ng anak ko. napapansin ko kasi minsan na may behavior siya na tumitingin sideways tpos pipikit and then back to normal. tinatry ko naman i test ang vision niya like pinapabasa ko siya ng malayo and malapit pero straight naman yung eyes pag nagbabasa niya. another test is yung sa wallclock. i let him recognize kung nasaan naka point [textspeak!] big hand small hand and [textspeak!] seconds which is moving. seems ok naman without any discomfort sa pagbabasa niya. need your insight please. thanks in advance. our pedia doctor now 72yrs old advised us to take more fruits and vegetables,and do eye exercises also,physical exercise to maintain 20/20 vissions,,,at her age she still has 20/20 and never use any eye glasses,,sya pa mismo nag drive ng car nya....as of now i took lutein 20mg a day and do eye exercises by using vision eye theraphy whenever i watch tv or do internet in front computer...better consult opthalmologist if problem still exist...

It is possible one of his eye muscles is weak. Bring him to an ophthalmologist who specializes in "strabismus". Did you test the eye one at a time?
