Sa 1st pregnancy ko, a week after, naligo na ako and 3wks after I gave birth, nagkaron ako ng partial paralysis sa face, called Bell's Palsy. Nagkaron ako ng viral infection according to the doctors dahil sa biglang pagbaba ng immune system ko. After a month bumalik sa normal ang face ko. And I would consider that as binat talaga. I was CS and had been serioulsy breastfeeding kaya sobrang nastressed talaga ako. Pagod at puyat kaya bumaba siguro ang aking resistensya.

Now I gave birth to my 2nd baby via repeated CS,  I prepared myself na sisikapin kong di maligo ng 1 month. I am on my 3rd week na hindi naliligo. I wash my hands, use lukewarm water in washing down there, I use towel with alcohol sa pagpupunas ng katawan everyday, sa buhok naman I use dry shampoo, and advice ng friend kong nag Gelai before to use powder to get rid of hair oilyness which is effective, yun nga lang yung scalp pa kinutkot mo may mga powder hehe.

I eat normal food, except that I don't drink cold beverage, yung water ko normal temp lang. And I make sure also na lagi akong may sabaw sa pagkain ko dahil nagpapa breastfeed ako sa baby ko.

Next week excited na akong maligo!!!

My mum mentioned about guava leaves as well. Effective daw. I'll try to practice these when I give birth.

^ I tried that guava leaves.  Umupo ako sa arinola with the warm freshly boiled guava leaves.  Masarap siya sa pakiramdam.  Helped in healing my episiotomy faster as well.

:) Buti nakita ko itong thread, never heard about gelai before. Ask ko na rin, while on gelai, pag nag pee ba lagi rin lukewarm water dapat pang wash down there?

Sis bluish_mommy katakot yung experience mo sa first pregnancy mo.

1. NO - i took a bath the same day I gave birth and then warm showers everyday.

2. NO - someone told me it can cause darkening of inner thighs. I wash using warm water all the time with antiseptic feminine wash.

3. NO - i take other sources of protein.

4. NO - why would you drink wine then breastfeed?

5. YES - different kind of soup. yes also with hot choco but not with native egg.

6. YES - very effective.

7. YES -  but mixed feeding.

So far so good! Nakaligo nako! Whew!!! Nakaya ko 1 month walang liguan, everyday punas ng towel with alcohol with the help of my husband. Also, since naka aircon kami lagi sa room, I made sure lagi ako may suot socks.

Oo sis, laging lukewarm water ginagamit ko when washing down there maski pag nag poop.

Buhayin ko tong thread na to, I think this is very helpful esp. for first time mommies as I believe nakatulong ito ng malaki para magheal ang sugat at makarecover ako ng mabilis...

-when I gave birth sa mga anak ko, lalo na sa una, ginawa ito kasi sa family namin, naniniwala mga matatanda dito, I was assisted by my aunt who is also a manghihilot na nag-aalaga talaga sa mga buntis at di magkaanak...

ito mga ginawa sakin after giving birth:
-bawal maligo - but since di ako sanay talaga nito as I am used to having 2 showers/day, pumayag na din tita at nanay ko, so ika-3rd day naligo na ko but with dahon ng bayabas at kalamansi na pinakuluan...warm bath ito...bawal ang cold shower...
-bawal kumain ng malalamig na food like ice cream or salad, ang prescribed kainin is mga mainit na masabaw, which I believe is true kasi nakakadami to ng gatas..
-more than a month akong naligo ng dahon dahon, kahit ano naman daw herbal pwede ipampaligo, kung walang bayabas or kalamansi, pwede daw dahon ng sampalok (amoy sinigang ka after) or mga pito-pito na nabibili sa palengke...

there, yan yung mga practice na ginawa sakin sa panganay ko then kinontinue ko lang noong sa 2nd and 3rd pregnancies ko, liban na na lang sa suob, my aunt passed away in 2012 so wala na nagsuob sakin...naghilot naman is si hubby nalang...
