^almost 5 yrs na rin. Like you sometimes gusto ko na ring umuwi sa atin kaso sabi mo nga magtatrabaho rin tayo pag-uwi, hehe. Kaya i decided to stay here, so far okey naman ang work ko dito kaya nakakapaghinayang kung uuwi besides pwede naman magbakasyon every year.

For me, there's no other place like home. But then mahirap sa Pinas. Would like to retire and settle down sa ating beloved country pero matagal pa yun..Need ko muna mag ipon and makapag invest so that may fall back ako once na nag retire na. Matinding kalaban lang HOMESICKNESS!..But we have to be strong..so enjoy lang.  :D

am working abroad for almost 3years na, most of the time I wanna go home but when am thinking about the future of my family, pinipilit ko na lang labanan ang homesickness... Am glad that they will join me hopefully this year when we transfer our regional office to Qatar...

On personal choice, gusto ko pa din magretire sa pinas, mas masarap talaga sa sariling bayan but need ko muna mag-ipon for my family...
It's not easy loving someone from a DISTANCE but the PAIN of being far draws the love closer, the longing to see THE ONE you love reaffirms in the heart that the love is FOR REAL...

Hindi ako ofw, pero we are planning to work in abroad once settle na ang house namin,as in nakapag move in na kami, then me and my hubby would take a chance in applying for work in  abroad.

Before going to abroad gusto ko settle muna dito sa Pilipinas para may patutunguhan ang pera namin.

ako naman 3 months pa lang dito sa dubai pero super homesick na. swerte nga lang at nkakuha ng maayos na work at nkakapagpadala na sa pinas. honestly I'm enjoying the independence here pero super miss ko na mga tao sa 'min until now umiiyak pa rin ako, super close family ties kasi kami. lalo na nung xmas season, kahit andito din bf ko iba pa rin pag pamilya yung kasama.now i realize tama yung friend ko when she said mas mahirap malayo sa pamilya kesa malayo sa boyfriend. I miss my parents badly pero ok na rin ganito kasi kahit papano nakakabawi ako sa mga sacrifices nila noon para maipasok kami sa magandang school, and besides I'm making them proud dahil sa achievements ko now.

How long am I planning to stay?  I'm still not sure. siguro until ok ang work dito I'll stay. Pero I'm hoping we can find a better country na pwedeng lipatan.

hayz! my tears are currently flowing down my cheeks while typing. I miss home so much! hirap maging OFW   :'(

i don't know if i can categorized myself as OFW since immigrant naman ang status ko now. but i miss life in pinas. sa pinas kasi, i have a good paying job and ndi ganun ka stressful ang work ko. i can afford to go out of town/abroad. okay naman ang life ko kaso matagal nga lang maging establish talaga like buying house. tapos mahirap pa pag nagka family kasi ang pera lahat palabas.

right now, i want to save para makapagpagawa kami ng house sa pinas in case pag bakasyon. sana ma appreciate ko life dito abroad sooner. masaya kasi life ko sa pinas.

my husband actually had this conversation last night:  how long are we going to stay here in abu dhabi?
right now, i'm staying here because my husband is here.  I had a good job back in the Phil. ok namn buhay
ko walang stress and nakaka afford ako whatever I want to do and buy.  But since I'm already married,
need to be with my husband and maka buo. We were thinking once magkababy kami stay kami for another
4 years. kasi maganda ang medical insurance dito.  tapos pag schoolin age, lipat kung where namn ang may
magandang education.  PInas is ok. but if you have tried working abroad, parang hahanp hanapin mo din
kinikita mo abroad.  any suggestion san magandang bansa paglipatan?

Sabi ko 3 to 5 years lang ako dito (uae).

If given a chance, siguro lilipat na lang ako ng ibang bansa. US or any European country.

Any moment pwede magbago yung rules.
Walang medical insurance at annual ticket.

for those of you who are married and have kids, maganda mag migrate na lang talaga. processing may takes 2 years or more. try nyo sis australia and canada. pwede din europe kaso bihira dito ang naga apply as immigrants, it may take lots of money.

Hindi ko alam kung matatawag din kaming OFW since immigrant na kami dito sa US, but it's still the same thing I guess. Maswerte kami ng husband ko kasi nakuha namin yung immigrant status namin in less than 3 years and now kakauwi lang namin galing pinas. To answer the question, I think we'll be staying here for good. We're saving up for a house, and ang wish ko makasama ko family ko dito. Yun na lang naman masaya na ako. :D

Yung commute mo lang from bahay to work, E for effort talaga.  :-\

remind me that we'll always have each other when everything else is gone.

i want to stay for as long as I can.....or lipat sa ibang country kung may opportunity like US. So to answer your question...baka umuwi na ako.

this was my post in 2009.

So to answer the question again...I think I might leave this country soon. Like end of this year or nextyear. Im thinking of moving to New Zealand. No concrete plans yet.Pero I might move soon or kung babalik ako ng Pinas, I might just finish my contract. Less then 2 years nalang yun.

^^ honga

sis sabi nila dapat daw nagbibigay tayo ng timeframe or goal, halimbawa saken, Im planning to stay dito sa company ko till i finish my contract so till Jan 2014 yun, less than 2 years nalang.

At the back of my mind talaga, gusto ko lagn tapusin loan ko which is by end of July next year. Pero baka mag stay pa ako for another 6 months or so after that para may ipon naman kahit konti.

I'm giving it another year or two. Then, sibat na talaga.
