Question naman po mga mommies. When you travel, nag-sterilize pa ba kayo ng bottles and teats ng babies niyo? Mag-travel kasi kami and although playtex drop-ins ang plan ko dalhin, paano ang teats, paano ko i-sterilize kaya? anyone who've tried using yung Chicco Sterilizing Liquid? Is it safe kaya? Thanks!

^ how long is your flight sis? 24hours ba? you may ask for hot water sa eroplano. or yes sterilizing powder/liquid pwede din.

i planned to use avent tempo nung nagtravel kami but unfortunately nagleak ang pigeon teat with it so we used na lang the normal avent bottles. 3 hour trip lang naman so 1 bottle would do. ( although i have extra extra )

around  2 hrs lang flight namin sis. but, my problem is pag nasa HK-Macau na kami, paano ko i-sterilize ang teats ni baby? Safe ba yung steriizing liquid or tablets?

sis I used the sterilizing tablet everytime we travel ok naman sya just bring along a container wherein you can sink in the bottles & teat

thanks sis. what brand ang okay. mothercare lang kasi ang alam ko na meron. yung sa chicco, sterilizing liquid naman kasi. which is better and safer kaya between the two?

^I bought both Mothercare sterilizing tablets and Chicco Sterilsistem, although yung tablets pa lang nasubukan ko.  Both are safe naman, I think, as long as you follow the correct concentration/water dilution.  Both din need drinking water for rinsing.  Sa akin lang, better yung tablets kasi mas magaan at walang risk na matapon/mabuhos sa mga gamit.

Yes.  THis is what we used for 3 weeks sa US.  Ok naman sya and I even left 1 bottle with my sister so she can sterilize my nephew's toys...kesa bitbitin ko ulit pauwi diba hehe

i think maganda ang pigeon sterilizing liquid for traveling.. subukan ko sya on our next plain trip.. medyo matagal pa naman.. pero nakita ko sya kanina sa trinoma.. mas less ng P200 pesos ang refill pack though pareho lang ang timbang nila.. yung nasa big bottle P600+ while the refill is only P400+

Paano gamitin to? Kunyari nasa plane at naubusan ng bottles (just in case lang).. Meron kasi ako dati pero sa bahay ko lang ginamit, ginagawa ko sinasabon ko muna then banlaw then babad sa water na may tablet

i like the Micro steam bags ng medela. pag may nakita ako OTC buy ako. pero not that needed so far. ok na ako sa running water.

^^Ganun nga, marssie, wash then soak.  Kung sa plane ka, prepare na muna yung sterilizing solution in a spill-proof plastic container (like Biokips/Lock&Lock) ahead of time (or before boarding the plane) para iwas tapon in case may air pockets.  Then as needed, wash the bottles in the toilet (or maybe, I'm thinking... fill up another container with water and soap tapos dun ka na lang wash sa ibabaw ng tray sa seat mo, then get another fill of water for rinsing.  Hehe.  Parang sobrang kakapagod pero parang mas malinis yun kesa sa washing the bottle inside the toilet.) and then dunk the bottle and accessories into the pre-prepared sterilizing solution.  After 30 mins (or whatever the solution requires), tip out the sterilizing solution into the other container where you previously washed the bottle and then pour (baby's)drinking water into the container to rinse.  Shake-shake, then pour out uli.  That's probably what I'd do in case I need to wash bottles in a plane.  Baka may maisip kang mas convenient.

Hi! [textspeak!] 1st flight ba ng baby niyo di siya nagka trauma? Yung 2 yrs. old ko kasi na anak na trauma siya when we had domestic flight last May...as in ngayon pati elevator ayaw na niya sumakay...pinapa dede naman namin while the plane is taking-off or kaya may disturbances kaya lang napi-feel niya talaga yung spasm ba yun sa tiyan..kaya tuloy hirap us isama in case we travel outside the country....sa totoo lang di kasi magaling yung piloto na nasakyan namin lalo na yung plane pabalik ng manila...

I took my baby on a plane sis when he was 3 month old with the approval of his pedia. Everything went well naman. One of the main sources of discomfort for infants traveling on airplanes lang naman is the change in cabin pressure when taking off and landing. Since this causes pressure kasi in the ears and can be quite painful for the baby, particularly if the baby has a stuffy nose. Prepare na lang for this sis by planning to nurse or give a bottle or pacifier to your baby during take-offs and landing to help alleviate the pressure.

You may also want to bring along an age-appropriate new rattle, book, toy, or stuffed animal to keep your baby amused.

Thanks sis, so magdadala din ako ng soap? kala ko kasi enough na yung tablet pag nasa plane ka  oo nga naisip ko rin parang ayaw ko maglinis sa toilet hehe.. pwede kaya sa area kung san piniprepare food ng mga passengers  kaso di ba bulky kung may container pa i was thinking of buying plastic na may zip sana para don ko ibababad yung bottles kasi kung sakali man isa or dalawang bote lang naman lilinisan ko agad after niya gamitin.


So after ibabad sa water na may ST wash din pala again?
