mga sis, yung pagsusugat din ba ng ulo cause ng kuto? my daughter kase pansin ko nagkakasugat sya sa ulo now that i found out may kuto sya paisa isa.

It is likely that the kuto is the cause of the scalp wound and not the other way around.  Baka makati ang head niya because of the headlice and the frequent scratching causes the wound and subsequent bacterial infection.

naku panahon nga yata ngayon ng lice, imagine yong 1 yr old daughter ko merong lice...I was wondering kung saan sya nahawa so eto pa [textspeak!] si panganay ko meron din at nahawa sya don sa kasama namin sa bahay...so ngayon kailangan patayin ko muna yong sa kasama namin sa bahay (boss) kasi sa kanya nagmumula e hhehehhe,3 pa ngayon ang ulo na aalagaan ko (the kasama sa bahay and my 2 kids) wink.....

Effective lice treatment are kwell and oilganics... dapat kasi complete treatment ang gawin para effective.

naku mga mommies, it's not good that you use pesticide or strong-chemical based products sa head ninyo specially pag may open wounds.. you may take a bit of time to research about head lice treatment using chemical based products like permethrin, pyrethrin and lindane. matatakot ka sa mga effects nila. imagine mo naglalagay ka ng baygon sa head ng baby mo nang may sugat siya, di ba scary?

i encountered several brands for head lice, kwell, lice aliz, oilganics and bioneem.

kwell and lice aliz both uses pesticides, and pretty dangerous sa kids. kaya makikita mo bawal siya gamitin on a regular basis kasi nga toxic siya. (available sa mercury drug)

oilganics, napanuod ko sa segment ni kuya kim is purely herbal and is intended to cut the life cycle of kuto and lisa. may main ingredients siya according sa commercial niya; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXO3mY61LHc that repels kuto, and wards off lisa. this one i've tested and it was really effective. am still using it kasi si yaya may kuto, so my family won't be hawa again (available sa mercury drug)

bioneem, nabasa ko lang sa internet na it also helps to repel kuto, pero as i've researched, more on insect repellant na herbal based ang use ng active na base niya.

i just discovered that i have kuto! nahiya ako sa aso namin, mas marami pa pala akong kuto kaysa sa kanya.

my sister recommended oilganics so i'm going to try and buy one later. matapang yata masyado yung kwell. i'd rather use an herbal shampoo for a week or so than use one that might be too potent (baka malagas ang buhok ko).

is it highly recommended to cut your hair when you have head lice? i have thick, shoulder-length hair kasi. thanks mga sis!

Kakainis pag nagkaka-lice mga anak ko, usually it happens kapag may new yaya kami.
Dapat ata before hiring, pag-suyurin ko muna if malinis tanggap ka na... Hahaha

sa daughter ko kwell lang ang ginamit ko sa kanya. Effective sya twice ko lang ginamit natanggal agad yung mga lice pati yung mga eggs nya.
