its not easy sis, because you have to get a AHIMA or AAPC ICD-9 certificate; I think Ahima was available here in UP manila, AAPC is based in US. yup our company is in makati. before I get the job I have to take the exam provided by the company and a 3 year experience in coding.

The New Pharmacy Bill has already been filed by Senators Estrada and Escudero under 2 separate bills.  The first hearing took place last August 23 under the Committee headed by Senator Trillanes and co-chaired by Sen Honasan.
 
Senator Honasan asked for a statistics of all Filipino pharmacists here and abroad. We are now in the process of updating our database so we can submit it to him at the set deadline on September 23.  We are now embarking on an appeal for all pharmacist to please fill up the following information.   
 
Please forward this to all your pharmacist-friends so they can be counted too.  You can use emails, facebook, twitter or any means of communication since we need the information before the deadline.  Should you know of pharmacists who have passed away, please also indicate in your reply.

Highlights:

1.       Starting Salary of Filipino Pharmacist is PHP24,000 or Salary Grade 15.

2.       In renewing your PRC ID, you need to be a member of PPHA or equivalence and should have accumulated number of CPE units. OMG

3.       Botica sa Barangay should be under the supervision of a pharmacist.

4.       No prescription- no dispensing (for prescription drugs)

Need help. I'm a pharmacy student pero nagstop po ako nung nagkababy na ako. Saan po ba pwedeng makabili ng reviewers for board exam? Para na man po di ko makalimutan yung mga napag aralan ko at di na rin mahirapan sa board exam lalo na ngayong may babies na ako.

May nabibili po ba online? I'm from a province po kaya mahirap humanap dito.

nope. masyadong in demand ang pharmacist ngayon sis. dahil andaming mga nag franchise ng pharmacy ngayon aside from the hindi lang naman sa drugstore ka pwdeng magisng pharmacist. pwdeng liaison pharmacist sa mga lab. pwdeng sa FDA, hospital,clinical etc. one major requirement sa mga drugstore ang pharmacist kaya hindi ka mauubusan ng aapplyan.Goodluck

~walang limit,as long as kaya mo pa at matino pa ang pag-iisip mo pwede mo pa din ipractice ang profession mo. I know a 70+ yr old pharmacist na nagwowork pa din sa drugstore,parang libangan lang sa kanya. Kaya lang mas maganda kung licensed ka mas madaming opportunity kaysa sa hindi licensed.

I agree sis cj. yun lang ang maganda kapag licensed ka talaga kahit siguro ibang proffession, kahit oldies ka na you can still be hired or as consultant.so keep it up sis. aral lang

   hi po. im a 3rd year pharmacy student. and i want to ask the board passers here some tips regarding the board exam. like what should i study or where can i get reviewers. gusto ko kasi magstart na magreview as early as possible.

^ enroll ka sa review center like Manor or Brent i used PACOP and Manor reviewer before yet alamin mo dein ang trend ng questions sa board exam ngayon kung binago na ba ang sets of questions unlike before rumble rumble lang

Hiramin mo din ang mga reviewer ng mga latest ng nagtake ng board exam, since 3rd year ka pa lang, kapag graduate ka na ang ready to take board yun naunang nag take before ka magtake.

hi chinita_eyes, u might want to check out a career as a clinical research associate (cra).  licensed pharmacist rin ako pero yun ang work ko ngayon, mostly office-based sya pero i still visit hospitals now and then, and may travel opportunities, both local and international.  basically you're involved in managing clinical trials.

Hi chinita_eyes, I have tried for several months to get into this field but still not successful despite good credentials. Knowledgable naman ako sa mga guidelines etc.. Wala lang akong monitoring experience to get into this field Entry level lang ako and I don't see opportunities for entry level candidates. Lahat ng positions need 1 year experience. Hay.. if only they give us equal chance.. I have applied in their website since ayaw nila ng walk-in applicants pero wala pa din response. I don't want to give up this dream because this is what I really want to do   Ano pang paraan pwede ko gawin to get into this field?
