OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE SANDWICH GUY

The Sandwich Guy abides by the high standards of the food industry in sanitation and food handling. All its branches have an open kitchen and are designed primarily for customers to view the preparation of their sandwiches from start to finish. All its crew inside the kitchen wear aprons and hairnets. When the crew handles food, they wear food grade gloves. All the crew has passed the training for the sanitation and food handling as upheld in the food industry and approved by the franchisor.

The ingredients of the country tuna sandwich include cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce which are vegetables with high water content. If these vegetables come in contact with freshly grilled warm wheat bread, it will give off some of its water content. Mr. Leovic P. Pablo states in his email that it was a colorless liquid that he found on his sandwich, the same colorless liquid which a cut cucumber, tomato or lettuce will give off when exposed to a warm surface such as a freshly grilled wheat bread, which we already explained to him.

The major allegations of Mr. Leovic P. Pablo in his email blast against The Sandwich Guy are false. We have always been available to meet with him to try to address this issue in a professional way but after his email blast, we have no choice but to file legal charges against him.

Actually I got it from HCP (Honda Club Philippines) and I only posted here in GTalk for your FYI only. I have been a lurker in GTalk for a long time then after reading the article in HCP I have decided to become a member and post the article here in GTalk. So if you don't believe the article that I have qouted from the other forum It's not my lost.

BTW we have a TSG branch here in our building and ask for a Coutry Tuna yesterday and it's not available anymore...

i will still order from SG because their sandwiches are really good and affordable. babantayan ko na lang sandwich ko kasi sa harap mo naman talaga ginagawa yun. and as far as i can see, they are really clean naman.

these things happen all the time! sa iba ibang restos, lalo na pag nagpaka diva ka at napagtripan ka nun waiter or the one who prepared the food. hehe!

^i agree with you. D naman mapanirang puri yung email at pag a-account nung tao. At medyo d tama na sa mtg may kasama ng lawyer yung may ari e d sana nagsabi sya para nagsama na rin yung complainant ng abogado. Namintas pa sa govt employee.

kahit dito sa thread binanatan agad yung nagpost dahil newbie. Taas ere masyado ng TSG kaya sana nga mawalan sila ng customers. Alangan nagpauso yung customer nila e mukhang regular naman sya umoorder dun. Narration of facts lang yung email kaya nandiri ako sa TSG dati ko pa target na i-try pag makapasyal sa mckinley buti nabasa ko ito

hello mga sis!  i am not new in GT, in fact I am a member since early 2000 so I am not posting this comment to defend anyone (Sandwich Guy nor the 'victim').

I personally know the guy (victim) though who wrote that email and he definitely did not have conflict with anyone in the store (Eastwood branch) and is in fact, a loyal customer.  And I attest that that story is TRUE.

I ordered a sandwich there once and never again after hearing about this incident.  Yes, this kinda happens to anyone or any store (we just don't know it) but what sucks is how "management" treated the situation. 

You may have a very good product, affordable, etc. but nothing beats good service.  If your service sucks, then you are not worth my time & money.

Just beware.

^ i agree with nikki. i think they handled the situtaion poorly. kadiri, i've been meaning to buy from that exact store, buti nalang hindi. though i have tried tsg in the past and liked their sandwiches, in fact.

its true daw kasi i have a friend from IBM and i asked him about that incident, he told me that it was one of his friends and come to think why would that guy lie, he's a PASTOR...

be aware na lang with what you are buying and eating...

Finally nagka-chance ako dumaan kanina sa McKinley Hill branch nila.. first time, haha! I bought pesto spaghetti for take-out was supposed to have it for dinn  but wasn't hungry pa so I decided to just bring it as baon tomorrow. Sayang coz medyo madami yung 1 order eh hindi mauubos... will post feedback tomorrow after ko ma-try!

Pag nagustuhan ko, try namin namin for delivery yung sandwiches and potato!
