Not really into brit pop, i just love listening to them to keep me upbeat sometimes. My brit friend gave me a collective list of happy banging tunes to listen to when I'm blue daw... hahaha tipong nakaka-ganda ng mood minsan.

for some time akala ko talaga e American band sila dahil sa Fake Tales of SF.  kundi pa sinabi sakin ng kaibigan ko e hindi ko pa malalaman.  may kasama pa yung line na, "tonta!  Brit sila!  ano ka ba?!?"

i ended up realizing i like a lot of Brit bands after.  starting with Muse and Radiohead and U2.

most of the indie rock bands I have were introduced to me by a good friend he's british. Oh i forgot, I like bluetones and catatonia.

but for rock bands i have, nadiscover ko lang din. Smile empty soul, hindi ko mataandaan panu ko sila napakinggan pero gustong gusto ko sila.

there is also this one english band with a welsh vocalist, skank anansie whoa! punong puno ng galit ang lyrics... lol

Ngayon ko lang natingnan ang thread na 'to. And I'm floored na hindi lang pala ko nag-iisang Kings of Leon listener dito! Whoooweeee!

Funny incident that happened a year ago I think. I was browsing a quite pathetic-looking pile of CDs on sale in a department store. I unearthed a KOL album (Because of the Times), dirt cheap. I asked the salesperson if they had the earlier cd's available. The girl looked really clueless when I mentioned the group, buti na lang nagtiyagang maghanap. I went home with three albums for even less than the price of one. Saya saya! Medyo lungkot lang nga din ako nun kasi feeling ko ako lang nakakaappreciate ng KOL music.

^ang swerte mo, sis!   ngayon e tumataas na ang market value ng albums nila.  dumadami na din kasi ang nakaka-recognize sa kanila.  share ko lang; may lumapit sakin recently na nagtanong if i've heard of KOL daw.  sila daw kasi ang favorite new band niya.  ako naman parang; they aren't exactly new.  they already got a Grammy, duh!

Haha, yep, I've been keeping tabs on the group ever since I first heard Molly's Chambers way back in '03. Was always thinking how come nobody still seems to know of this group eh magaling naman sila. I don't think people were ready for their sound back then. And it's great they're finally being recognized.

I also love The Pixies. Sa more commercially-known groups I love Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Metallica (except for the last album), Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zep, Rolling Stones. Dami pa iba..

I have one brit friend naman na super fan neto, super ininggit ako nung last vacation nya sa UK december ata ito nung ngkaron ang KOL ng UK tour sinundan ata sa lahat ng venue... LOL
