Wedding Reception Program/Script

Mga sis, question naman to all DIY brides na walang coordinator. meron ba kayong timeline or program for wedding reception? kasi diba pag may coordinator, sila na rin nagaayos nun? may sample po ba kayo mga sis?

Wedding Reception Program:

All guest must be in their respective seats before the program proper..
1. Opening Prayer and Welcome Greetings
2. Introduction and acknowledge
-FG
-Bearers
-SS
-Groomsmen/Bridesmaid
-Best Man/MOH
3. Proper Acknowledge Parents and PS (nakaupo na rin naman sila, patatayuin na lang for proper intro)
4. Grand Entrance of Newly Weds
5. Bridal Waltz
6. Dove Release
7. Grace before meal (maybe your MOH)
8. Dinner/lunch buffet
9. Bride and Groom Table Hopping or guest can take their picture in the table of newly wed before going to buffet table and line for to get their food. (depende sayo.. kung ano mas feel mu, bagay lang itong 2nd option kapag buffet style ang reception para iwas gulo sa pila ng buffet table..)
10. Distribution of Giveaways and tokens to PS and member of entourage (depende rin ito bahala ka na kung paano ninyo gagawin to, assign ka na gagawa nito if yung 2nd option ang gagawin nyo sa # 9)
11. while eating present your AVP, MTV and other presentation
12. best man ask for a toast and give some message
13. message from very close to the couple
14. cutting wedding cake
15. Father-bride dance then couple for prosperity dance
16. bouquet throw and garter toss
17. final message from the couple

ito ang pwede mong gawing guide.. not necessary na gawin mu to talaga.. you can make your own program..

meron ako ginawa pero nasa pc sa office hehe... pero I think I can still remember what I put there...

I. Entrance of Entourage -- max 10 mins
(your choice if you want to call the names as they enter or let them sit first and then just ask them to stand as you call their names) --including parents of the couple
*music under recommended (meaning mahina lang)
II. Couple's grand entrance -- max 5 mins
(depends on how long the walk to the couple's table will be, and the intro for the bride and groom)
* recommended: music under during intro, music up when couple enters the room
III. Prayer/ Invocation -- max 5 mins
(hindi naman siguro mag-fellowship sa reception di ba?)
IV. First Dance -- max 5 mins (1 song = 3-5 mins) if you have a special number 10 mins is okay.
***father-bride dance/ mother-groom dance dito na rin po papasok
* music up
V. Cake Cutting -- max 5 mins
* music under during spiels, music up on cake cutting
VI. Maid of Honor Speech -- max 5 mins
* music under
VII. Wine Toasting -- max 5 mins
* music under during spiels, music up on wine toasting
VIII. Best Man's Toast -- max 5 mins
* music under
IX. Dove Release -- max 10 mins (mahirap i-manage ang doves minsan .. this could also be a game for the kids. have them catch the dove and give candies or prize for whoever catches it)
* music up
X. Dinner/ Lunch Buffet -- max 60 mins
*of course music up!
XI. Garter toss and bouquet throwing games -- max 15 mins
*music up
XII. Message from anyone close to the couple or from the PS.

XV. Recession

I usually have the program before the dinner or lunch buffet, kasi po ang pinoy mahilig sa EAT AND RUN. pagtapos kumain kanya-kanyang alis.. kung pagkatapos pa ng kainan yung program, wala na kayong audience. Pero alam kasi ng lahat na nasa huli ang throwing of bouquet so ang gusto makasalo o manuod ng games ay mag-stay. So kung magagawa ninyong 30 mins lang ang program tapos kainan na, I don't think maiinip yung mga guest niyo. Just my two cents.

sis karmie, i like your idea,.. gusto namin ni h2b una yung program before dinner buffet.. true ka dyan sa eat and run, kasi ganun din kame ni h2b sa mga na attend namin na wedding.. hehe ouch!

^ sis depende po sa usapan niyo.. pati ba guests bibigyan niyo? o may program guide na nasa table ang ibig niyong sabihin? usually kasi hindi naman bnibigyan ng copy ang mga guests eh.. hindi rin madalas na naglalagay ng program guide sa table.. so usually between the couple, host at coord lang ang program...

Sis karmi - please suggest naman other activities in lieu of garter/bouquet toss. Gusto ko kasi sana alisin this one. im not sure if enough na yung may kakanta/prod numbers to keep the program from being boring.pero yung pinost mo dito na program, super like. tinago ko na nga para magamit next year.

hi sis.. good thing you like the program I made.. eto rin kasi usually sinusuggest ko sa mga weddings na na-host ko..

if you don't want games sa program, you can have your cute bearers and flower girls do a number.. kasi pag puro kantahan lang din, baka hindi rin ma-appreciate ng iba.. you know, iba ang charm ng mga bata.. or pwedeng kayo ang may suprise dance number..
