Joining! My relatives use this service provided by pldt sme nation. It's a wifi hub and I use it whenever I visit there house. The connection is pretty good naman:) I think this is the one they are using:

what's a reliable modem router? para isang plug nalang kesa naka plug sa outlet ang modem and another for the router.

^ Karamihan ng ISPs ngayon, modem and router all-in-one na. I think they are pretty reliable. Saw PLDT and Globe are currently offering these. Not sure with the others.

I think mas mahirap atang maghanap ng all-in-ones sa mga computer stores.

Cable/DSL kami. Digitel to be exact. Parang kasi aksayado sa kuryente kung naka saksak ang modem sa outlet pati na rin ang router. di tulad kung modem and router in one na. kaya lang i wanna get the belkin N750DB. Di naman sya router and modem in one.

^ Ah, yun nga lang yung mga all-in-one na offered ng mga ISPs, di pa ganun ka-sophisticated.

In that case, you have to choose - savings sa electricity/outlet/space vs better performance ng network mo using separate devices.

^ If you are after performance, separate ones are far better. You just need a plain modem lang, but you will need to spend more buck sa router for that performance.

i got an extra wireless router, galing pa to ng UK. i like it sana kaso we have cisco na.

4) If you need a larger coverage, consider upgrading the antenna of the wifi, and/or purchase repeaters. If you have an old router na working pa naman, you can configure it as a repeater. Repeaters can be expensive rin kasi. The typical cheap routers just covers a little area - mga 2 to 3 rooms lang and those wall obstructions further weakens the wifi signal.

I would like to ask regarding the repeaters, where to buy and how to set-up. We have Dlink router DIR-300, problem is walang signal sa 2nd floor sa room namin kaya hindi ako makapag internet. I heard na need daw ng repeater pag ganun. I have no idea what to do and when to start. Help please.

masaya rin ako sa d-link. matibay! maaasahan! mabilis pa na router; yung model ng DLInk na nabili ko nakasetup in such a way na kahit may nagdadownload ng torrent, hindi magiging sobrang bagal ang network ko.

meron akong ginamit na cheap router, yung tplink. nasira after lang ng over one year of use. kapag may dinadownload akong torrent, sobrang bagal na ang connection.

Bibili ako ng iPod touch 5th gen bukas, I wonder kung pano ako magkakaron ng internet connection wherever I go. Nag research ako about pocket wifi. Please correct me if I'm wrong, so pwede ako bumili ng 3g router para ikabit yung USB broadband stick para pwede ko bitbitin anywhere, kaso does a 3g router needs to be plugged in sa power outlet or may battery na pwede irecharge?

Nabasa ko rin pwede rin ako bumili ng pocket wi-fi, sim card nalang ang kelangan ko ilagay. Eto alam ko rechargeable. Kaso ilang hours lang po ang battery life?

Since Sun ang OK ang signal dito sa bahay, what about bumili ako ng 2nd hand na Sun-locked na Huawei? Is it ok or mas better nang bumili ng bnew na unlocked?

For either devices, ano po ang sulit, convenient and anong brand ang OK and mura? Where can I buy one?

Hello sisses, I bought  a cdr-king wifi router yesterday for just 680, na-setup ko na lahat, ang problema ko pag knakabit ko yun dsl sa port nawawala yun dial tone ko. [textspeak!] naman nung nagbenta sakin pwede daw sa pldt dsl yun router nila,saka yun din gamit ng friend ko ok naman daw yung sa kanila. meron kaya may idea bakit ganun? natatakot na ako itry unless sure ako kung ano ang dapat gawin kasi kagabi di ako makaconnect sa internet, using pldt modem na uli ha.
