At 24, I lost my dad..

At this age, I need to be more mature, stronger and have a positive outlook in life...

Aww sis losing your parents in two consecutive years must be really hard. I cannot imagine the pain and loss.   :'(

Finally bid goodbye to my twenties last month. And without a doubt, it is the most defining decade of my life. I learned a great deal about relationships, money, career, family, etc. I switched from one company to another, not really knowing what I want at the time. Went back to school for a while. First traveled abroad. Found myself in credit card debt. Broke up with my college boyfriend. Tried a fling. Met and married my husband. Helped my dad through rehab. Then, I went through depression. Learned and practiced to choose my battles through it all. And at 29, God gave me the best twenties finale ever...giving birth to my son. When I turned thirty, I have never felt so sure about my purpose and direction because of my little boy. Sure, there are still uncertainties and worries for the future, but the road is no longer quite as hazy as it was during my twenties.  ;)
