Estrel's Bakeshop, who love their caramel cake?

It's been a long time since we last tasted Estrel's. I wonder if same pa rin yung quality and taste nila. Sana lagi sila may available na pwede for walk-in clients.

finally natikman ko na ang estrel's caramel cake. we had 10x14 caramel cake with filling. ang masasabi ko, masarap naman sya, hindi masyado matamis.. pero para sa akin, hindi ganun ang lasa ng caramel cake, actually parang custard cake sya.  kung icompare ko sa caramel cake ng hizon's, mas nagustuhan ko yung sa hizon's. pero worth naman din yung pagdayo namin sa qc para bumili nun, mas ok pa rin sya kesa sa mga commercialized cakes.

Matagal na we've been eating their caramel cake, before they got kilala for it mas masarap yung caramel cakes nila. The icing was really thicker and gooier talaga, even the cake itself was super moist, using real butter, you knew everything was handmade using pure ings., not mixes, talagang iba yung earlier cakes nila. Tho still not bad naman, ako personally, sawa na.

What I really love here also is their mocha cake w/ mocha butter icing! Masarap their butter icing, it's what the flowers sa caramel cakes are made of. We love this flavor kasi from childhood birthday parties namin. So this is what I order parati for special occasions, specially my birthday.

my thoughts exactly! It is a "novel" taste for me, pero i prefer Hizon's padin. I thought at first it was caramel, but when i tasted it, sabi ko, parang custard cake, only to find out caramel cake nga. Toinks!

I also love their cake... wedding cake nga namin Estrel's eh. matagal tagal na rin akong hindi nakakatikim ulit... gusto ko rin yung leche flan nila :-)

After a looong while, we were finally able to buy the caramel cake of Estrel's.  We got the 8 x 12 for 750. Although I have tasted this before medyo di sya ang usual staple namin pag parties. My family is more into chocolate cakes kasi.  Surprisingly, my parents did not like it that much kasi according to them di daw ganun ka-pronounced yung caramel; mas custard-like kasi sya and di ganun katamis talaga. Ok din kasi di masyado nakakasuya.

it ranges from 500 to 600... baka kasi nagtaas na eh, last year pa yung last kong bili at 500.

Na frustrate ako, bought this cake for my birthday. Parang normal lang na cake, yes tama "novel" taste. HIndi ganun ka special for me. Sorry

someone gave my dad-in-law a whole caramel cake from estrel's yesterday. nakalagay dun sa sticker sa box "expires 11 october 2009"--meaning today. pero since kahapon lang naman natanggap, we decided to eat it today para the whole family can enjoy. i got a small slice lang, then had a couple of bites. hindi ko na naubos kasi ang sama ng lasa! mabilis yata talagang masira.

this was my wedding cake some yrs back and the owner of estrel's personally told me that it's best eaten on the day it was baked, meaning on the same day it was sold kase everyday bago nilalabas nila.
