Using the husband's surname, will you or will you not?

im getting married soon, i'll be using his surname but i wont drop mine, with hypen siguro. sayang kasi surname ko, unique eh atsaka wala ng magtutuloy ng surname namin.

I'm going to use his last name. And maybe, hypen din, kasi magiging maiksi kapag name ko lang at last name niya. Brenda Ong, pero kung kasama last name ko, Brenda Verdida-Ong. Mas cute lang. hehe.

i'll denifitely use his last name. i've never thought of using hypernated kc i have a long first name then both of us have a long last name also. over naman kung mag hypernated p ako db? tamad p naman ako mag sulat.   

besides i'll marry him kc love ko cya and i've accepted everything about him. we'll be one family and start our own so mas prefer ko n same kmi ng hubby and kids ko ng last name. senti ako eh.

I adapted my hubby's surname, pero now, parang sana na lang hinyphenated ko na lang, since gusto ko sana surname ni Dad ang gamit ko pag naging nurse na ako, its like a thank you thing for my father.

--- mattouch sa iyo father mo if ever .. may special reason ka naman pala why you want the hypenated format ... im still single.. pero if ever ill use my husbands surname...

hyphenated ako. kasi bunso ako sa family and walang lalaki na kapatid, so walang magke-carry ng surname ni tatay. tribute ko sa kanya iyon.

I'm married but I'm not using my hubby's surname. Option ko naman 'yun at mas gusto niya rin na i-retain ko ang surname ko. Natatawa nga mga kapatid ko kung bakit hindi ko pinalitan surname ko.

Mas may dating kasi sa academic circle. Hehe. Isa pa, apat kaming magkakapatid na babae at mukhang ako lang yata ang may balak na i-retain ang surname namin.

i'm using my hubby's lastname.

before him, my ex and i were supposed to get married.
i was thinkin of using "mylastname-hislastname" back then kasi matagal na ko industry naming kilala with my maiden name..

kaso..

now that i married him, my bestfriend, i was thinking, SOBRANG DAMI ng hyphenated dito lately kahit yung mga starting off pa lang sa work.. parang... duh?! wala ng originality.. as in lahat na ng nag ne name change eh hyphenated to the point na i told myself -- what the heck?
i was wanting to be original but i dont think that's what's gonna happen if i join the hyphenated bandwagon.

i told myself --> Bayaan mo silang mahirapan sa kakahanap kung sino yung "bagong" name na yun at kung saan na yung "lumang" name which is me in my maiden name!

i just make it a point to introduce myself sa public by, say, not declining the offer of being a candidate sa Charity Contest ng Mr & Mrs dito sa office para some sort of -- "This is the NEW me -- deal with it" hahahaha..
*oh i got 1st runner up dun sa contest, so brownie points sa biyenan*
and winning sports stuffs dito like our 3K run joined by 500 employess.. so shempre, advertise na naman ang NEW LAST NAME ko.. proud na proud..

i told my hubby na i'm doing this not for myself coz they already know me here sa office -- but i'm doing this for him. for his name. o di ba?

i only 'officially' used my husband's surname when i renewed my passport, 4 years after we got married. 

sabi sa kin sa philippine consulate - "are you sure gusto mo gamitin surname ng hubby mo? di mo na mapapalitan yan."  hehe.  i just smiled at him and said yes i'm sure.  apparently dami pa la silang naeencounter na gusto ibalik yung name sa maiden name bec. of divorce.

i use both my maiden and hubby's surname.  but i didn't change my signature to include his.  nasanay na kasi ko.

I hyphened my husband's last name. So I'm still using my lastname but with him.

I have to use my maiden name because no one knows me by my husband's lastname and when you are dealing with business, if they don't know who you are, who's recommending who, they don't pay attention. After I explained that to my husband, he realized and agreed to it.

although my name's sounds better with my maiden name.. i use my husband's... i don't mind..
