It's been years since I traveled outside of the country. First out-of-the-country travel was to Japan with my late mom. We were there for a World Blind Union conference. We stayed at Diamond Hotel and had fun trying out the hotel's restos. May meal tickets kasi for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and we were free to choose where we wanted to eat. The hotel had around 7 restaurants.

We made a side trip to Akita before leaving Japan. There's a convent on top of the mountain where a miracle was said to have happened. Na-meet ko yung madre na naka-witness ng miracle. My favorite memory is the time when we joined the praying of the Holy Rosary. They sang it in Japanese. It was like a lullaby for me. Sarap ng feeling!

We stopped by Hong Kong before going back to Manila. Stayed there for three days.

I've also been to Europe, also for a World Blind Union convention. My mom and I went to Paris (France), Madrid (Spain), and Rome (Italy). The Vatican was a relaxing experience, while EuroDisney made me feel like a kid again. Seeing the Eiffel Tower upclose was surreal.

Don't know when I can travel outside of the country again. My husband and I are planning to go around the Philippines first before stepping into international territories.

Thailand (Krabi) - get a cheap and advance plane ticket, then book on your own (Agoda.com) but it depends, sometimes go directly sa website ng hotel, you can get a better price

US - west coast and east coast.

China (Shanghi and Beijing) - be sure to bring calculator if you wanna buy something just show them the price then they will just agree or not.
