true true true... love century 21... i go there first before anywhere else.  we were able to buy ferragamo shoes gift for my mom's friend, really cheap.  and.... super cheap din ng 7jeans dito! hehe

they open really early pati.  8ish?  or 9am?  something like that.

tapos after shopping, pa pic ka nalang sa ground zero. or punta ka sa park nearby, sa union square.  upo upo ka dun.  pic pic pic again. hehe

basta from designer brands to anything, mabibili dito. 

sis, whats that store again na nagkalat sa new york?  fashion 21 ba yun?  meron nito sa labas ng grand central station, if youre facing the grand central station, mejo sa right side sya.  they sell XOXO brands (the ones in rustans) na super cheap lang din.

if you have the time, go to jersey garden state mall also.  its an outlet.  grabe, heaven din mag shopping dito!  promise!!!

btw, when you get to ny, (jfk airport ako parati), im not sure if same rate parin yung yellow cabs.  from the airport to any point in manhattan, flat rate $50 lang that time.  wag ka sasakay dun sa mga nagkakagulong mga mama na nag o offer ng cab, $100 charge nun, yung mga mukhang mga scalper dating.  basta dun ka sa may pila ng yellowcabs pupunta.  safer dun.

if you're gonna watch broadway, buy from tkts... it's way cheaper.. there are a lot of available slots naman so medyo malabong maubusan ng tickets... i have watched beauty and the beast, les miserables and hairspray... we had so much fun with hairspray kasi may part na free-style stand-up comedy...

try to go din sa southstreet seaport...

i'm going there this may and i'm planning to revisit the museums... hindi ko pa kasi naappreciate to before e...

try to eat whitecastle burgers... medyo madumi ata yung resto nila kaya kami laging take-out nalang...

try to eat at whole foods.. it's like a grocery/cafeteria style. i love the food there. serendipity is not so good but if you're a fan of the movie, what the heck, try it...magnolia bakery is also worth a try (and realize how bad is sonja's cupcakes)...

for the stores, forever21 at union square... i'm not sure pero yun ata yung pinakamalaking branch na napuntahan ko... also, old navy in front of macy's. nanghohoard ako ng swimsuits...

macy's is also one variety... their pbags are worth collecting
about white castle burger, ok naman for me their grill burgers... i first tried it in 2005, tinernohan ko pa ng chicken rings, cheese sticks... wow..........their crave case is a must-bring when you're on travel... i just didnt know about the resto na marumi..

there's also this ride called 'the beast.' i find it more exciting than the circle line. can you still go up the liberty? it's an experience you shouldn't miss.

try to watch baseball also. it's way more exciting than on tv.

^ Yup baseball is so much fun when you watch it at the stadium.  I thought I wouldn't be able to appreciate it when we first went to watch a game, but it's so different when you're actually there.

Hi! i'm going to NYC at the end of the month. I'm not going shopping, more to see the sights and get to know some locals. But I really want to check out some Pinoy restos there. Di ba meron dun? I miss good old Filipino food. I hope you guys can direct me to one.

Plus, I want to ask, is it worth it to actually go up the Statue of Liberty or okay na yung masilayan lang yun? Or for that matter, is it worth it to go up the Empire State Bldg or the Rock?

mga sis, magkano ang rent ng 1bedroom apartment ngayon sa manhattan?  baka ma assign kasi ng 1year si hubby.  im thinking ang budget lang dapat namin is $1500.  kaya lang malabo ba makakuha ng apartment (na within safe areas) sa manhattan noh with this range?

which is a better alternative then?  queens or jersey?

sis in NYC, the apartments studio type ranges from US$1,900 UP, around til US$4,000..
sa rate mo na US$1,500, rate ito ng sa queens blvd, brooklyn... normally unfurnished pero ok naman... normally also below that range walang elevator, so sacrifice tlaga if you are assigned sa 2nd or 3rd floor or up pa...
i can however give you a link where you can inquire about apartments within Manhattan kung don talaga gusto mo..may mga mura din naman but i cant tell the images, inquire ka na lang from them..

uyy sis thanks ha!  kasi may nakita akong website. na abot naman sa budget yung apartment, kaya lang mejo uptown sya.  ive been to that area once, and natakot kami ng mga kasama ko.  that was near the university.  as in ini stalk pa kami ng mga gangster nun.

nakatira narin ako dati sa queens, sa woodhaven, ok yung community, kaya lang mejo matrabaho going to the city.  bus and ilang train din yun.

sa jersey, naka tulog na ko dun, ok din ang neighborhood, pero ganun din parang queens din ang commute.

eh yung asawa ko, gusto nya sana eh hindi ilang palit ng mta.  hes only been to texas before, and naka car sya doon.  eh mahirap naman mag kotse dyan, dahil walang parking...

ladies, forget everything else when you go to ny but don't ever skip woodbury commons!!!

for those interested, there's a shuttle from manhattan (port authority) that goes directly to the outlet, takes about an hour, cost around 30 bucks, but really worth it if you're going to be doing some serious shopping.

sa sanfo cali normally kasama sa apartment ang water ang electric bill mejo mura compared to Ny... ibang part sa queens apartment, hirap din ang parking, you have to rent pa a garage... 
utilities range from US$70-US$200...

if you really want to stay in manhattan, try the upper west side. i know someone who lives there. medyo ok naman yung place. though i prefer queens. kasi hindi nakakatakot. try to look sa forest hills. yung malapit sa queens blvd. if you find a place there, you dont need bus transfers. may subway stop na dun.

Hello ladies! I've finally booked my trip to NYC for next month. I did a lot of sightseeing the last time I was there kaya mission ko ngayon ang shopping, dining and museums. Di masyado into museums si BF so we just decided to go to one. The hotel we booked is actually right across MOMA, but I want to go to The Met. Si bf naman gusto sa Museum of Natural History or Guggenheim. If merong must-see out of all of them, anong pipiliin niyo?
