One year na since nabuo yung PC ko and I've always had Avast installed. So far, no security incidents whatsoever and everyday updated ang virus definition. Freeware siya btw so more than satisfied ako. I never had to tinker with it too much para gumana nang maayos. It handles things effectively in the background.

I think maganda siya especially on the front ng internet security since may features siya protecting your network, scanning websites (and reputations), email, p2p, IM, etc.

I used to be a big Avast fan but when I switched from desktop to netbook I started using Microsoft Security Essentials. Lightweight but not in terms of catching viruses. I use it in tandem with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and I haven't encountered any problems in the past 2-3 years.

I've been using Avast Antivirus (free version) for almost 7 years now and so far no problems. Its easy to use and configure. I also installed it in my Android tablet.

hi mga sis, some info lang,
ang mga anti virus softwares ay effective kapag lagi updated, meaning need ng internet connection para may daily checking of software updates.
i recommend din na mag invest kayo sa anti virus dahil kailangan siya ng laptop/pc ninyo, go for full version, not just trial or freeware. mas effective dahil full features yun at confident kayo na kahit magsaksak kayo ng usb or magdownload from any sites ay sure na madedetect if may virus yun or wala.
i work closely with our IT team on my current wok kaya natututunan ko yung mga ganyan, recommended nila yung Kaspersky, Eset Nod32 at ang pinaka matinding anti virus na sa sobrang tindi ay nakakbiwisit na, yung Fortiguard.
Ako i use Eset nod32 gamit ko effective siya and maliit lang yung nakakain na memory sa laptop ko :)
